"She can't be gone.  She isn't!"

"Sir, I am so sorry.  We did everything we could.  She just lost too much blood."

Zachary and Alyssa saw Danny sobbing on the ground so they walked over to check on him.

"Dad.."

"I don't want to talk right now.. Sh-She.. She's gone." Danny was completely broken.

"No!  Dad, she can't be-"

"Please just Leave Me Alone!"

Just then rest of the family came over with balloons and stuffed animals for the baby.

"Is the baby here?" Dorothy smiles.

"Daddy!  Mama have the baby?!  I wanna see her!" Nova smiles as she holds a little stuffed elephant in her hand and a balloon in the other.

Danny's head began to spin.  He didn't know what to do or say.  He felt like he couldn't even move.

"What is it?!  Is the baby okay?" Sam asks.

"Is it mom?  Someone say something!" James says.

"Aly, take the kids to the waiting room." Zachary says.

"No!  I wanna know NOW!  What is it?  Where's mom?" Grayson asks.

"Gray, go wait with the-"

"I'M NOT GOING!" He shouts.

"Boys.. your mother.. she had the babies."

"Babies?" Sam asks.

"Yeah, It's Twins.. But-"

"Are they okay?"

"They're fine.. but your mom.. she-"

"Tell us, Danny!" James raises his voice.

"She lost too much blood.."

"Is she sick?"

"She.. She didn't make it." Danny says barely able to get the words out.

"What?"

"She lost too much blood and.. She.. She passed."

"Shut up. Stop this, this isn't funny, Danny!"

"He's not playing, James.. She.." Zachary looks down and cries silently.

"She's just gone?" Sam asks.

"MOMMYYY!" Grayson screams.

Dorothy fell to the ground sobbing.
Samuel walked off and started yelling and banging on the walls.

"No." James nods.

"She's not. I'll go back there, I can wake her up! She's just.. she's just tired!" He cries.

"Dad, mommy can't die! I need her! MOMMYYYYY!" Grayson sobs uncontrollably.

Danny hugged Grayson and cried with him.
"I can't be here right now. I can't—"

"Mr. Huston, would you like to come back?"

Danny looked at the doctor with red puffy eyes.
He nodded then followed him to the room Jessica was in. They had cleaned her up and laid her down in a new bed.

Danny looked at her and broke down.
He walked closer and slowly reached out for her hand.

"Jessica.. Baby."

Silence filled the room.

"Why? Why did you have leave me?
I can't live this life without you, baby girl. I can't!"

Danny fixed her hair and stroked her beautiful face.

"Did I tell you how beautiful you are.. how much I love you.. how incredible of a mother you are.. did I say all of these things enough? I hope you know that.. you're my Princess.. my world.. my entire reason for living. You will forever be with me, baby.
You.. died.. do-doing something for one of your baby's.. something so incredible!
.. Baby, you became a mom and a very very young age and since then you've been the greatest.. I.. I know how happy you were seeing Zachary and Alyssa with their babies.. that happiness is because of you, pretty girl. You were Always an angel.. and today.. today you gained your wings."

Danny didn't know how he had the strength to speak to his wife's body, maybe it was Jessica giving him the strength.

"I love you.. I will always love you.... and I promise to.. make sure that Nova knows her momma.." Saying that made Danny break.

He has never in his life cried as hard as he has today. It was to the point where he made himself sick.

Eventually everyone had the opportunity to say goodbye to Jessica.
As of right now Nova still has no idea.

"Grammy, I really want my mommy!  Why doesn't anyone let me see her?" Nova cries.

"Oh goodness.." Dorothy looked down and cried.

Jane took her in her arms and walked down the hall.

"Hey baby girl.."

"Aunt Janie, I want mommy!"

"Baby girl.. I want you to know that.. your mommy loves you so so much."

"I know, silly. She tells me that all the time!"

"Of course she does.." Jane smiles softly.

"Your mommy tells her babies every single day just how much she loves you all, huh?"

"Yeah." Nova nods.

"Please take me to my mama."

Jane laid her down on her shoulder and cried silently.

"Danny, when she wakes up, you need to tell her. She wants her mom." Jane says handing Nova to Danny.

"How, Jane? How am I supposed to tell a three year old her mother is gone?!"

"Shh!"

"This isn't fair. None of this is FUCKING FAIR!"

Jane took a deep breath and looked down.
"Why did this happen? She's such a good person!"

"I know, Danny. And I know you're hurting but you have to-"

"To what, Jane!" He shouts.

"Danny.."

"They- They should have stopped the bleeding. They shouldn't have made her start pushing so soon after the first baby.. I shouldn't have let her do this. I.. I don't know, she was just so happy to do it. To put her body through hell for her child! That's the kind of mother she is! And God took her away!"

Jane stayed silent.

"Why didn't I stop her?" He cries.

"Danny, she wouldn't have listened to you. Jessica is a stubborn lady, you know that. She wanted to help her baby.. nothing and No One would have stopped her.
And she did it.. the very last thing she did.. was help her baby boy. A boy she didn't give birth to herself.. but a boy that she loves as though she did." Jane says as her voice shakes

Tears continued to fall down Danny's face.
"How do I do this, Jane? How do I say goodbye to a woman.. a woman that I worship the ground she walks on! I can't do it." He nods.

Jane hugs him and he cries loudly.

Nova wales up and grabs his face.
"Daddy! What's wrong?!" She asked with so much concern.

"Baby girl.. I need to talk to you, Bug."

"Where's mommy?"

Danny closes his eyes and swallows.
"Let's sit."

...

"Nova.. mommy.. mommy went.. she went to Heaven, baby."

"What? Like where Grayson's daddy went?"

"Yeah.."

"When is she coming back?"

"She's not.. but she will always be in you ur heart, Princess."

"No! Daddy, I want mommy!"

Nova cried and continued shouting that she wanted her mother.

"I can't.. I can't, Jane." Danny looked at her completely lost on how to handle this situation.

"Nova, let's go see the babies in the window."

"NO! I WANT MOMMY! I WANT MOMMY!"

Danny buried his face in his hands before standing up and screaming. At this point he didn't care who heard him.

"Danny!" Dorothy walks over.

"I love her! We were supposed to grow old together! I wanted another baby with her! She would've said no but we would've had so much fun fighting about it! This can't happen, Dorothy!"

She looks at him and he lets out a sigh before walking over and hugging her.

"She loves you so much, Daniel."

"I love her too.... More than anything in this world."

"Mr. Huston." The doctor called.

Danny sighs and turns around.

"Yes?"

"Could I speak with you in private, please?"

"Sure.."

Danny walks in and the doctor tells him to sit.

"What?" He says harshly.

"The twins went for their testing and.. well something came back that um.." He takes a deep breath and continues.

"The boy baby is Zachary and Alyssa's.. the baby girl.. is yours and Jessica's."

Danny looked at him like he was absolutely crazy.

"What? How did that happen?"

"Jessica was implanted, got pregnant, then had intercourse and conceived a baby with you. It can happen."

"She didn't even know.. she didn't know.. about her child.. Fuck!"

"Would you like to see the baby? I've already informed your son and his wife. They're with them now."

"Um.. Yeah.. yeah, I'll see her."

The doctor nods then leads him to where the baby was.

Danny felt as if he could just fall over at any moment.

"Here she is.."

Danny looked at the small blonde baby that was smiling up to him. Never in his life has he ever seen a baby smile so much just hours old.

He slowly reached down and took the baby in his arms. She was small but she was so strong.

Danny looked down straight into her eyes.
He saw Jessica immediately.

He then closed his eyes and broke down.

"I'm so sorry.. I'm sorry!" He said to the baby as he held her to his chest.

Zachary places one hand on his father's back for support.

Danny looked at him. It was the worst he had ever seen his father look in his whole life.

"I can't do this.. you take this baby.. and you raise her. I can't do it."

"Dad.. mom would want you to keep her."

"I can't!"

Alyssa watches him in tears. He was lost and broken. She didn't know how Danny would move on from this.

"Your mom.." Danny lets out a loud sob.

"Please. Just take her. I have to go." Danny hands him the baby and takes off.

"Dad!"

Danny didn't acknowledge him. He just kept walking. He didn't know where he was going, he just needed to leave.
