May 14th.

Jessica got up and took a shower.
After she was out, slipped into her robe and walked into the bedroom.
She saw Danny slowly waking up, so she ran over and jumped on him.

"Happy Birthday, Danny!" She shouts.

"Hey!" He smiles and holds her waist.

"Happy Birthday, baby."

"Thank you, beautiful."

Jessica leans forward and kisses his lips.

Danny grabs her back and flips her over so that he's now on top of her.

"Danny!  Not before church!" Jessica giggles.

"Baby, it's my birthday!  God understands!"

Jessica laughs as he attacks her neck.

After church Jessica drives Danny to his favorite restaurant.

The waiter comes over to the table to get their order, and Grayson taps his arm.

"Today is my daddy's birthday!"

Danny chuckles and Jessica smiles at his cuteness.

"Is it?!  Well Happy Birthday, dad!" The waiter smiles.

"Heh!  Thank you!"

*Jessica's phone rings*

"Hello?"

"Hey mom!"

"Jamesy!  Oh my baby boy!  How are you?!"

"Good how are you?"

"Great!"

"I'm here too, mom!" Sam shouts.

"Oh my other baby!  Hi, sweetheart!"

"Hey!  We just wanted to see how everyone was doing, and we also wanted to wish Danny a happy birthday."

"Awe, that's sweet!  Well here he is.

The twins wanna talk to you, babe." Jessica smiles and hands him the phone.

"Really?" Danny smiles.

"Hey boys!"

"Happy Birthday!!"

"Awe, thanks you guys!"

"You took our mom to New York for her birthday, so make sure she gets you something good!"

"She said she'd marry me, that's all I need."

"Awe, how cute!" Sam says in a dorky voice.

"Well its true!  I don't want her to get me one thing, right baby?"

"Well I feel bad!"

"Don't!  I just need you."

"Awe!" Jessica smiles.

"Barf!" James shouts ruining the moment.

Danny laughs and says, "Sorry!  Thanks again for calling me, it really makes me happy."

"No problem!  Have a good day, Danny.  Hug mom and kiss Grayson for us."

"Will do!  Bye guys."

Two days later.

"In one month from today, we'll be getting married!" Danny wraps his arms around Jessica

"One month.. Wow! I don't even know what I'm wearing. I should get on that, shouldn't I?"

"Yes you should!" Danny chuckles and nods.

"I can't wait to be your wife." Jessica lays on his chest.

"I can't wait to be your husband."

Jessica places her chin on his chest and looks up at him.

"Danny?"

"What?"

"Can I ask you something?"

"Sure."

Jessica sighs and walks towards their bed.

"Is it serious?"

"No.. Well yeah, I guess."

"What's wrong?"

"Danny.. Don't you wanna.. Do you- Do you think you should call your um... Call your parents and tell them you're getting married."

"No." Danny quickly answers.

"Danny, I know I wasn't there and I don't understand, but these are your parents. They don't have to be there if you don't want them to be, but don't you think it's time you at least talk to them?"

"No, Jessica! I mean, they didn't just ignore me, they they've ignored my son for years! I don't need them in my life, and I don't want them in my life. Our wedding day should be special, and only involve us, our boys, and the people that mean the most to us."

"But Danny, you don't want your family there? To show them how far you've come without them?"

"No, it's not about proving anything, I just don't want to see them!"

Jessica looks down and Danny sighs as he runs his hand through his hair.

"Okay fine! I'll drop it. I wasn't there, so I don't understand.. I just thought I'd ask.
I don't want you to live with any regrets. But if you say this is what you want to do, then I'll support you."

"Thank you."

Dorothy and Albert's POV.

They went out to brunch with their two friends that they've known for a few years now.

"It's been so long since we've seen each other! How has everything been? How's your daughter?" The woman asks in a sympathetic voice.

"Well she has her days, but she's doing a lot better now. Thank God!"

"Oh that's good! That makes me happy to hear.
How are the boys?"

"Great! You know.. Jessie's getting married. She met a really nice man, and they're getting married in a month."

"Oh my gosh! No way! That's so amazing!"

"Yeah.. You know, when she married Sam, I thought.. This is perfect. They're both really great kids, they have three babies and they're great with them, and Sam was a very hard worker...
When he passed away, I feared for my little girl. She was so lost without him. He was her entire world, and everyone that knew them, knew that they felt that way about each other. Jessica went down a bad path after the baby was born, but we never stopped supporting her, and loving her.. Now she met this man who is so great to her and the boys. He's everything like Sam was. Jessica has been blessed with this man, and Dorothy and I are so happy for her."

"Oh wow! That's so great!" The woman tears up.

"He has a son that's Michael's age.. Their family has blended together so beautifully."

"That's good." The man nods.

"What's his name?"

"Daniel."

"Oh.."

Dorothy notices her eyes continuing to water, so she asks if she's okay.

"Are you okay? Is something wrong?"

"No! No, everything's fine! It's just.. Well we-"

"Are really happy for Jessica." Her husband stops her.

She looks at him and he nods.

"Not now." He speaks quietly.

"Yeah.." She whispers, then wipes her face and looks at Dorothy with a soft smile.

"What does he look like?"

"I have a picture of him!" Dorothy gets her phone out and scrolls through her pictures.

"Here's one of him and Jessica's baby, Grayson. He calls Danny, daddy. He's so sweet!"

The woman takes the phone and her eyes widen. She never expected to see what she saw.

"Oh my God.." She breathes heavy.

"Oh.. That's.. He.. He's so handsome!" She bursts into tears.

"What's wrong?" Dorothy asks with concern.

"Dorothy... That's our son."

"Your what?!" Her eyes widen. Dorothy was in shock.
