"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." -Jeremiah 29:11

I know, I know. This is yet another overused, typical verse which is something I try to steer away from. But if God is teaching me something, I know I better be listening!

Okay, but being real here, God has brought this verse to LIFE for me. Honestly, because it is quoted so often, I never really took this verse to heart or deeply meditated on its meaning for my life until this past Friday.

Story time!!

Okay, so the past two weeks or so, I had been having EXTREME anxiety-like thoughts from Satan. They were all made up "what if" scenarios, like what if we got into a wreck, what if I died or my friend died, what if what if! And I could not get them to stop filling my mind!

Friday morning I was woken up early, around 6:30, by my mother... My older brother had gotten into a severe wreck. The car was BEYOND totalled. It had flipped numerous times and ended up on the complete opposite side of a fence that it had started from, and landed in a water-filled ditch.

My brother... Perfectly. Fine.

LIKE HELLO! GOD IS GOOD, GUYS.

I'm not even joking. The car was so bad! My favourite part though? →the passenger's side was caved in entirely, but the driver's seat side was fine. I mean, obviously it was messed up, but if he or someone else had been in the passenger's side, they wouldn't be here anymore.

But literally, my brother has scratches on his hand, a bump on his head, and a strain in his shoulder. That's IT! What a miracle!

After I heard this, ALL I could think was, thank you Daddy God. You are so good, so good to us! And quickly my mind ventured on to Jeremiah 29:11, and it was a complete revelation.

See, even if these "what if" things actually do take place, God has better plans for you and me! He knows what he has in store for us and He said that it is not to harm us, but to give us HOPE and a FUTURE!! Guys, if you're not feeling this like I am, mmm you better get there quick because it is fan.ta.stic!! Let me tell you!

Ah! And God didn't just say it. No. He DECLARED it!! He announced this with such emphasis that so many of us never catch.

Yes, this is a common verse because it is a "feel good" verse. Ya know, one that everyone wants to hear. But we don't APPLY IT! Scripture is useless if you don't take anything from it or only take what makes you feel good.

Wow. If I don't stop talking I'm going to end up writing a book!

But yes! Do not worry or be anxious about your life because God knows His plans for your life and He will make all of your paths straight! Worrying contributes nothing to your life. It just wastes it.

I love you! And thank you for reading as always! God is good and He is so close to telling His son to go get His children and bring them home.

ALSO! My brother's wreck was because he fell asleep at the wheel! It does happen and please don't think it won't ever happen to you because things like this happen! Thankfully God sent His angels to protect, but He won't always! It all depends on His plans, my friends!
