"For you know very well that the day of the LORD will come like a thief in the night. While people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come on them suddenly, as labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape.

But you, brothers and sisters, are not in darkness so that this day should surprise you like a thief. You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness. So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, get drunk at night. But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, putting on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet." -1 Thessalonians 5:2-8

We hear our entire lives that the second coming of Jesus Christ will come like a thief in the night, so suddenly people do not expect it. But God says that we are not children of the night. We are children of the day, children of THE light, of GOD, so it should not completely surprise us and we should be prepared.

My church has been doing a study called the Endtime Series. I RECOMMEND IT SO MUCH! IT'S SO STINKING GOOD! I STAY UP LATE THINKING AND STUDYING FURTHER ON MY OWN, AND GUYS, GOD IS SO FRICKIN RAD!!
Reading all of the prophecies and dissecting them and seeing how they are playing out in the world around us right now... It's an amazing experience, and I feel like I could write an entire book on all that I've learned. It's gotten me much closer to God and just desiring to read His perfect word more!

If you haven't read Revelation, now is the time to start. Guys, Jesus's return is getting so stinking close, it's not even funny. If you read the prophecies over the end time... Eeek. But it's weird because now I know pretty well how things are going to pan out in the end times. And that's how God wants it to be!! God doesn't want us to be in the dark, totally clueless to His return! He set us aside from the world to be in the light and to be the light for others! We just need to embrace that fact, and be awake and spiritually present in it. We ready and know. We won't know the exact day, of course, but I believe, if we're genuine in our faith and have been studying His word, God will let us know when He's ready.

Also, prayers please... My family is kind of falling apart. It sounds dramatic, but what doesn't these days?? I've basically lost my older brother, at least my mom has. He's basically stopped going to church, and a couple days ago, he got angry at my mom who was simply tying to protect him from getting into a court situation with my stepbrother, and my brother got all of his things and left without saying a word to any of us about it. He threw away some of his things too, like his all-state choir trophies and things. We don't know what's up. And it's all right before Christmas, so ye. Please keep that situation in your prayers.
