Now, I banish Fluffal Wings and Fluffal Bear to...oh, hello! I didn't see you there! Well, you of course know me, SSGSSJ2, I assume you're here for the lesson, eh? Well, pull up a chair, and I'll teach you about the glories of the Xyz Summon! (That's pronounced Ecks-Sees, for those of you unaware.)

Xyz Summoning involves "Overlaying" 2 Monsters on the field with the same Level to make an Xyz Monster with the same Rank as the Levels of its Xyz Materials. Cards used for an Xyz Summon are not sent to the Graveyard; rather, they become attached to the Xyz Monster as "Xyz Material" or "Overlay Units." So, for an Xyz Summon, you need:

A) An Xyz Monster in the Extra Deck
B) Two or more Monsters on the field with the same Level

That's it! Just those two things! Though, some Xyz Monsters require certain Materials, like Dark Monsters, Warrior-Type Monsters, or even Archetype-specific materials, like "Satellarknight Triverr" or "Evilswarm Ophion."

So, on to the ever loved example!

Number 39: Utopia is in my Extra Deck. Utopia is a Rank 4 Xyz that requires 2 Level 4 Monsters.
Goblindbergh and Ganbara Knight are on my field, both Level 4 Monsters.

To Xyz Summon, I moved one card atop another, and put Utopia on top of them both. Congrats, you've Xyz Summoned!

Pros:
*Any Deck running two Monsters with the same level can use this method.
*There are some powerful Xyz Monsters, and the Rank 4/R4NK Toolbox is extremely wide and versatile. There's always a monster you can use.

Cons:
*Lots of bad monsters to choose from.
*Need a lot of field presence, especially for the biggest monsters like Rhongomyniad.

Rouge Examples:

Rank-Up-Magic Argent Chaos Force

This Spell Card allows a Rank 5 or higher Number" Xyz Monster to be used for the Xyz Summon of a "Number C" or "Cxyz" Xyz Monster, like "Number C88: Gimmick Puppet Disaster Leo."

Number F0: Utopic Future

This thing right here is made with two non-Number Xyz Monsters of the same Rank, which is odd because you can't usually Overlay with Xyz Monsters, due to them having Ranks rather than Levels.

Zoodiac Beast Tigress/Broadbull/Drancia/Wildbow

These Xyz Monsters can either be Summoned normally, or they can be Xyz Summoned by using a "Zoodiac Beast" monster with a different name, including other Xyz Monsters.
