Tenya stretched. He looked in the mirror, blue sapphire eyes reflecting back at him. He grinned, stepping out of his dorm room, taking a deep breath to enjoy the Saturday morning-

"Iida. We need to talk." Todoroki said, walking over to him.

Tenya sighed.

"Yes, Todoroki? Is everything alright?" He asked, watching the other teen for any signs of distress.

Which is when Shoto Todoroki said the most ridiculous shit Tenya had heard all year.

"I think Hisoka is Stain's daughter." He said, sounding confident.

Tenya rolled his eyes (damn, he's spent too much time around Hisoka), saying "That's impossible."

"Is it?" He retorted. "Hisoka, back when we talked alone.... She licked some of my blood, paralyzing me."

"And you expect me to believe that, Todoroki?" Tenya responded. "Not that I don't trust your word, but you and Hisoka aren't really on the best of terms. I just don't see how Hisoka could be Stain's child."

Todoroki scowled, saying "Then let's go ask Midoriya."

*A few moments later....*

Izuku flipped through a notebook, taking a deep breath.

".... Okay, Todoroki has a few points-"

"OH COME ON!" Tenya groaned.

Izuku waved his hands defensively, saying "Just hear me out!" He then flipped open a notebook made specifically for Hisoka herself, saying "When Hisoka first came into UA, she snuck in through one of the vents, correct? Something that even Aizawa-sensei couldn't detect!"

"Then, at the USJ, she killed a villain in self defense." Todoroki added, pointing to a picture Izuku had of the villain (nobody knows where or how he got it). "Look at the nature of the slash. It takes skill and precision to make a cut that large, strong, and lethal on the first strike."

"We've also seen Hisoka's speed too." Izuku stated.

Tenya frowned, saying "I admit, Hisoka's speed is.... Unique. Not many people can keep up with me. And that's with me having a speed quirk. Not to mention that her instincts are so well honed...."

"Which is another thing: her weapons of choice." Izuku quickly said. "Knives are an ideal weapon of choice for any blood quirk user. However, Hisoka displays strengths with larger blades, such as daggers, machetes, swords, and even scythes! She's taken time to develop a fighting style to accommodate all of these weapons too...."

"Back during the beginning," Todoroki began. "She took a full forced explosion from one of Bakugo's gauntlets. Her bones were broken, but her quirk healed her.... A normal person would be in so much pain. However, Hisoka barely flinched. This shows that she also has developed a high pain tolerance for whatever reason."

Tenya stayed quiet for a moment. He'd admit, the evidence was damning, but.... He just couldn't believe that Hisoka was his child. She was so good! The two trusted each other so much as well! She'd... She'd tell him if that was the case, right?

"I want to do one last thing." Tenya said, pulling out his phone.

Riki, Yousuke, and Hanabi all stared at Tenya.

"Tenya," Hanabi said, watching his expression. "You want me to pull up Hisoka's files?"

"I just need to dispel a few rumors!" Tenya quickly said. "Now, come on. Let me see them. I'm certain that the information will prove that I'm right, they're wrong, and I can get back to my day."

Hanabi hesitated.

"Tenya," Riki butt in. "If you do this, you might not like what you  find. Are you even prepared for that?"

"Yeah," Yousuke said, crossing his arms. "If you do this, you'll be betraying her trust in you, and your trust in yourself."

"Show me the files." Tenya calmly said, smiling confidently.

Hanabi waved her hand, multiple screens pulling up.... Tenya glanced at one, and then froze.

*Back at UA....*

Hisoka was just sitting with the girls in the common room, chatting with them all cheerfully.

"Hey, where's Tenya?" Mina asked. "He hasn't been around all day."

Hisoka shrugged, saying "Probably talking with his friends. It's not like I could stop him even if I-"

Tenya entered the room, a grim expression on his face. The words left his lips before he could stop them, his engines turning black.

"Is it true?" He questioned.

Hisoka frowned, walking over to him.

"Is what true?" She asked in response.

"Are you Stain's daughter, Hisoka?"

Hisoka froze, feeling her blood turn icy.

"Fuck." She muttered, staring at him. "Tenya, I...."

"Answer the question!" He snapped.

Hisoka sighed.

".... Yes. It's true." She finally said.

Tenya's eyes widened, and he said "You lied to me!"

"Tenya, no, I-"

"You probably knew, didn't you?! That he was going to go after Tensei?!"

"Tenya! Listen to yourself!"

Students began piling into the room, watching the argument between the two.

"This entire time, you've been lying and I-"

Tenya cut himself off, clenching his fists.

"What was I supposed to say?!" Hisoka snapped at him. "How was I gonna tell you, Tenya?! What, were we gonna sit down with a cup of tea and hope things were just gonna go well?! My dad nearly killed your brother!"

"And you could've stopped it."

For the second time, her blood ran cold.

"What- no!" Hisoka responded. "It was bad enough that I was interrupting his work! I was already risking a lot stopping him the first time!"

Tenya turned to her, his voice nearly a whisper as he repeated "The first time?"

"Yeah, I-"

Hisoka slammed her hands over her mouth. Oh. Oh fuck.

"What do you mean the first time?" Tenya demanded. "You're telling me that he'd planned to go after Tensei sooner?!"

"Yeah, but...." Hisoka trailed off. "I.... I stopped him!"

Tenya narrowed his eyes.

"When?"

"What?"

"When was he supposed to go after my brother, Chihara?"

Hisoka winced at the use of her last name, looking away.

".... The USJ." She responded. "He was supposed to.... I.... I convinced him to wait, and...."

Tenya whirled, yelling "YOU KNEW!"

"Tenya, wait-"

"YOU KNEW ABOUT IT FOR WEEKS! HE WAS HUNTING TENSEI, AND YOU KNEW ALL ALONG! DID YOU EVER STOP TO THINK ABOUT WHAT WOULD HAPPEN?! HOW THAT WOULD'VE AFFECTED OTHERS?! HOW THAT AFFECTED ME?!"

"I TRIED!" Hisoka shouted, tears slipping down her cheeks, her voice cracking. "I TRIED TO AVOID IT! I TRIED TO KEEP HIM SAFE, DAMN IT!"

"AND LOOK HOW THAT TURNED OUT!"

Tenya just glared at Hisoka, ignoring tears.

"I loved you. I trusted you." He said, voice lowering.

"Tenya, no, please." Hisoka pleaded. "We can talk about this. We can work this out, just please don't-"

"We're through, Hisoka." Tenya cut her off sharply. "This.... This isn't going to work. I cannot be with someone who lies and breaks my trust. I'm sorry."

With that, Tenya walked away, leaving Hisoka to sob quietly.
