Madeline and I each got different rooms. She got a creamy pink room with two long sofa's on the side facing the TV screen, a queen-sized bed in the middle and several empty cupboards. There was an attached bathroom, where there was a jacuzzi, shower stand, sinks and other things. My room was a deep royal blue colour and slightly more spacious than her's but nonetheless quite similar. I sat on my bed and sighed. I picked up the TV remote and decided to watch some TV before I leave for dinner. 

I kept switching the channels, not finding one channel I could settle on. Then, suddenly, somebody knocked on my room. I got up and answered the door. It was a servant.

"Madam, you're invited to have dinner with the Royal's pack at sharp 9. It's attended in the dining hall in the west wing if you need assist please ask anyone of the servants." I nodded carefully listening to him.

"Who else is attending the dinner?" I asked curiously.

"Only the Royal pack's Alpha, Luna, Beta, Gamma and your pack's Alpha, Luna, Beta, and Gamma. The other packs haven't arrived due to official reasons." I nodded and thanked him, before getting dressed. Since I was meeting the rest of the Royal pack high members, I decided that I should wear something to make an outstanding impression. And for some reason, I wanted to make Alpha Maximus awed looking at me. I don't know why but I like the attention I receive from him it's as if.... I can't explain it words. 

Anyways, I wore a royal blue silk short dress and dangling earrings with a simple lipstick I walked towards the west wing. I thought that I had no need of assist and could find myself around this palace. 

I found Alpha Maximus in a white t-shirt, velvet royal blue pant and blazer. Oh, once again, he matched me like early this day. I stared at him and when he stared at me back, my heart sped up. I ignored the pacing of my heart beats and I looked down. I lifted my eyes to see him still staring at me. I walked up to him, as he looked at him with his green eyes.

"Yes?" he asked sending shivers through my body.

I swallowed and said, "Um... Where's the dining hall?"

He smiled and said, "Only two hours back, you were riddling me with such authority and now you're turning into a sweet girl. You really intrigue me." 

"Oh, really. Well, I'm honoured to intrigue you, Alpha King."

He smirked, "The hall is straight, second left and down the glass stairs."

"Thanks," I said and walked straight.

"See you at the ball." I turned around.

"Aren't you joining for dinner?"

"No, I have pack business and anyways, I rather not be around seductive girls who would keep trying to throw themselves at me."

"Wait, but isn't.." I trailed off, doesn't he know that only my pack has arrived. I rather not tell him that or else he find out which pack I am from. And he will easily figure out my name and status.

"What?" he questioned.

"Nothing... I was just curious to why you wouldn't like seductive girls."

"If you are implying that I am a player type, I am not. I have been waiting for my mate and can't wait to see her tomorrow."

"You sound like my friend."

"Who? The one that Kyle bruised by mistake." I nodded.

"I have to say you have quite a strength to bruise the Beta's of Beta's." He said smilingly.

"Aren't you mad or furious?"

"No, I understand why you did so. I am in fact slightly surprised that Kyle used his full strength. He normally doesn't, his wolf these days like mine are on the edge. Seems like our mates are quite close. I can control over my wolf, but Kyle always seemed to anger issues." I nodded and smiled.

"You know, you don't seem like a bad person."

He laughed, "So, you thought that I was a bad person." I blushed slightly.

"No, it's just that. At first, impression, you seemed a little..."

"Dangerous. Scary. Intimidating." I nodded.

"I know, but honestly I am just a normal werewolf that has a little more power than others waiting for a lovely mate." I smiled at his noble thoughts, such a gentle and honest werewolf king, I thought.

I nodded.

"It's 9. You should leave..."

"Wait, I am sorry for riddling you, but I have this habit of..."

He cut me off, "No, in fact, I liked it... I love riddles and yours is quite interesting. I have an answer, but..." He trailed off and smirked.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, but I do think a riddle for a riddle is an answer to a riddle."

I raised an eyebrow and curiously listened in.

"I was thinking that if you asked me a riddle, then I should ask you one as well. We should answer at the same time. You know, like a way of truce?"

I scrunched my forehead in confusion. What was he up to? I sighed deeply and nodded as he grinned widely. I felt this was going to be bad, like really bad.

"It's something we live for and die for. A forte or a weakness. Die hard with and live hard with, it's more than a thing." He walked a step close to me.

"A reason to live." He said and walked closer.

"A reason to smile." He walked a step closer, and I didn't know what to do, so I moved a step back.

"A reason to kill." He walked a step closer and hit the wall. I bite my lips as I felt my knees wobble. What was happening to me? I don't know why but I never felt this vulnerable before. I wanted to just kiss those juicy lips of his. Wait! What the hell am I thinking? And run my hands through his tousled hair. Okay. I really need to stop, please don't come closer, please!

"A reason to kiss." He breathed against my lips. I felt my body shiver under his control, I took a deep breath. I looked into his eyes. His mesmerising eyes were so deep, I wanted to drown in them. He smiled and stared at my lips. In a blink of an eye, I thought his lips would be on mine. But instead, he kissed my forehand and he just vanished in thin air. 

I pushed myself away from the wall and put my hands on my cheeks to cool them down. Yes, I was blushing for the first time. It was weird. I couldn't believe he left me here with a stupid kiss on the forehead. Actually, it was quite sweet. I smiled and then shook off the smile. I remembered the riddle he gave me. Ugh, it was pretty good. What could it be, I wondered, as I took off to the dinning hall.

Alpha Maximus. I am so getting you down.

"I am never the one to loose ever. I put up the game and end it, for once and for all." 

My eyes glowed dark and I entered the hall.
