My eyes lifted up and I saw the beautiful sunset. The colours flying the sky as if someone sprayed them. I realised that the flight had just landed. I check my watch, it had been quite a long flight. I stretched my arms widely as everyone started to leave the jet. Madeline had left with her mother, despite the fact that I would like it if she stayed back with me. I understood that she needs quality time with her mom. My mom had already left with my dad first as they were the Alpha and Luna following their duties was extremely important. 

I walked up and started to walk down the stairs as I wore my sunglasses. I tilted my head and looked around trying to make a map of the place in my mind. It was a palace indeed, it was very spacious and big from the outside. It had creamy walls with borders of royal blue inked. There was the werewolf logo big and golden on the top of the entrance of the palace. 

'Not bad,' I thought giving a smirk. 'A luxury for three days, I can live with this.' I walked along the footpath letting my wavy hair fly in the sky. I pressed my lips against each other when I noticed my parents and the others talking to the ex Alpha and Luna. I have never seen them, but I just somehow knew it was them. I walked up to them and a gave the most sweetest smile I could muster.

"King Alpha Daniel Troy Royale and Queen Luna Sarah Tiara Royale, it's a pleasure to meet you," I said politely bowing down in curtesy. 

They both smiled at me and said, "You must be Katherine."

I nodded and smiled at them. 

"A very well-behaved daughter you have," said the Luna to my parents. My parents smiled and looked at each other. 

"It's an honour to have the second most powerful pack in our presence," said the Alpha. 'Oh, yea... I forgot that our pack is the second whereas the Royals are first.' Our pack is very powerful, strong and respected.

"You, two, girls must be tired. I will ask one of the servants to guide you to your rooms." Luna looked at me waiting for an answer, I smiled and nodded with curtesy. She smiled at me. A servant arrived when the Luna clapped her hands, the servant was instructed to take us to our suites. He picked up Madeline's bags and was about to pick up mine.

"No, I quite prefer if I carry my own bags. But, nonetheless, I appreciate your offer." The servant looked at me as if I was joking. I smiled, and he looked surprised. I guess not many people talk to him with respect. The Luna smiled at my actions and the Alpha was shocked as well. In fact, everyone seemed quite shocked. I don't know why but I felt as if my inner soul wants to show this kind, caring and responsible side of mine. 

I walked away not before thanking the Alpha and Luna. 

"Katherine, dear," called the Luna. I right away turned to face here.

"Call me, Sarah. Please." I was shocked and took a deep breathe. I controlled my emotions and said, "Sure, Sarah."

Madeline and I followed the servant as he made up walk up stairs and to the left. There were many rooms and they sort of looked similar creating an illusion. We heard voices as we walked that got louder as we made our way.

"C'mon, you're gonna find your mate tomorrow. Let's party or meet some of the ladies I say," said a very manly and boastful voice. Hm, meeting your mate tomorrow? Gasp. Whoever this person is, he is definitely talking to Alpha Maximus.

"Okay Kyle, slow your horses."

The voice disappeared for a long time. Then all of a sudden we saw two boys approaching. One of the boys had light blonde hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a blue t-shirt and blank pant. The other one was... He was quite the catch, I have to admit. His hair was messy as if he ran through them several times. He had dark brown hair with a slight highlight of golden strands. That made him look... ravishing? No, handsome times infinity. He had green mesmerising eyes that I could drown in forever. He was only half-a-head taller than me and was quite well-built (but not much there is I can see). He wore a white shirt with black pants and a black blazer. His outfit completely coordinated with mine as if we planned this.

I caught him staring at me and snapped my fingers. He looked up to my eyes as I tilted my head. I stared at him intensely the same way he did, then I turned to Madeline, who seemed to be in a trance with the blue t-shirt guy. 

"Madeline," I tried, but she was still in a trance. I sighed and turned my body to completely face her, "Madeline Rose White!"

She turned to me in a second.

"What's wrong, Kate?"

"Um, I don't like for instance, how we should be going to our room but are standing here." I questioned ignore the fact that blazer dude was burning holes on my face. 

Madeline opened her mouth to say something, but when she saw that I raised my eyebrows. She closed her mouth.

"For all the things I do for you," she murmured. 

I smiled and sweetly said, "for all the crimes I did for you."

She scoffed and sighed. I walked between the two boys, when blue shirt boy grabbed Madeline's hand. 

"Hey, watch it," I growled at him. He stared at me wickedly.

"Why?" He said taunting me. I clenched my jaws and Madeline's eyes widened.

"Hey, Katherine. How about we talk our way?" 

The blazer guy smiled at her wordings and looked at me along with blue t-shirt guy to see what I have to say.

"Sure," I said in a sick sweetening tone. The boys laughed.

I pressed my body against the wall and crossed my arms, making the boys to stop laughing. The blue t-shirt touched Madeline's wrist and pulled her against him. His eyes stared into hers deeply. His hands, unknowingly to him, were too tight on Madeline making bruises. The blazer guy stared at his friend. 

"Hey, sweet cheeks," he said to Madeline. That voice, I tapped my foot drawing everyone's attention, I know it. I looked up and realised it was Beta Kyle in the blue t-shirt and blazer guy was Alpha Maximus. Ah, now it would be more fun winning against blue t-shirt especially when he is a Beta that even of the Royal pack. I viciously smiled and cleared my throat.

"Proceed," I said lovingly. They looked confused but nonetheless resumed expect for Alpha Maximus who stared at me. I sharply turned at him and raised an eyebrow. He smirked and looked at Madeline and Kyle. Madeline felt his hand off of hers and she checked her hand to find bruises. Kyle was shocked not knowing that his grip was too tight. Before he got to apologize, a classic Madeline happened.

"Kathy, I am ashamed to call you my friend." I nodded my head knowing this would happen.

"Over here a boy bruises me and you stand there doing nothing!" She screamed while I moved my head side to side. Kyle looked at her in regret, while Maximus was amused. 'That fool,' I thought. Madeline walked away in the direction of where the servant was long gone. I walked up to Kyle kicked him in his ribs. He moaned in pain and hit the back of the wall. Maximus looked shocked and went to assist his beta/friend. 

Madeline turned around and ran to me. 

"Watch it Beta Kyle or else I won't be so generous that your a part of the Royal," I said as Kyle stood up. Madeline looked confused and Maximus was impressed.

"Beta Kyle?" whispered Madeline. "Oh, I am so sorry I didn't..." 

"No, it's my fault. I was merely joking with you, I shouldn't have grabbed your wrists like that and bruised you. I am sorry." He cut her off and said with regret filled eyes. 

"How do you know our titles?" 

It sent shivers down my neck, I ignored the sensation. The Alpha finally spoke.

"Well, I did give a wild guess, Alpha Maximus." 

He smiled impress once again and Kyle looked pretty amazed as well. Madeline stared at me.

"What?" I said to Madeline questioning the reason of her stare.

She smiled and shook her head.

"Well, you must be..." Maximus said, hoping we both will say our names. Madeline opened her mouth to say her name, but I cut her off.

"Well, well, Alpha Maximus.... Shall I riddle you? I think I should, indeed." I said mischievously while Kyle and Maximus intently stared waiting for the riddle in awe that someone had the guts to speak to them like this. 

Madeline groaned throwing her head down, "Not one of these.." 

"Oh, yes, one of these," I said evily.

"If we get in trouble, you, Ms. Trouble will take all the blame," said Madeline.

"The blame, the fame, and even your name." I winked as the boys listened to us. Madeline nodded and said, "Deal." 

"Well, Alpha Maximus and Beta Kyle... Answer this; if you look from close, I will be seen well. If you look from a distance, I will barely be seen. Say my name, I will die free. But you know I am there in a pin drop." I said wickedly whispering the last part. They both seemed honestly riddled by my riddle. I was satisfied, I turned around and walked. Madeline followed me.

Well, Alpha Maximus let's see if you have the skills.  Might be an Alpha, but I am one too. Alpha runs in my veins and so does the creations of twisted riddles.

Alpha Maximus, watch out because you have got yourself a game here. 

And I never loose because I hate loosing.
