*2 years later. BTW Annabeth's now 18*

 Annabeth stared at the ceiling nervously. It had been two years. Two years since they had started dating and yet, she couldn't find a way to tell him. Tell him that she was a princess. She didn't know how he would react. At first, she hadn't told him because she didn't want him to date her for her money. Then, she hadn't told him she was nervous. Later, she hadn't told him because he might get mad at her for not telling him sooner. Annabeth wasn't a procrastinator and yet, that was one thing that she pushed until the last possible moment. She had to tell him. Now that she was an adult, her parents were searching a groom for her. Other girls loved turning 18. They were an adult! They could do anything they wanted. But to Annabeth, it meant getting married to some random, sleazy rich guy and losing the love of her life. 

That's right. She loved him.  Another thing that she didn't have the courage to tell him. Maybe, he wasn't serious about this relationship. Maybe, he thought of her as just one another fling, A hundred things could go wrong. Annabeth squeezed her eyes and took a deep breath. 

'Tomorrow summer started. Tomorrow she would be going to Camp. Tomorrow she would meet Percy after waiting for the entire year. And tomorrow she would tell him.'

Repeating it in her mind Annabeth drifted off to sleep.

*the next day*

Percy stared at the ground. He was nervous. Hell! He feared Annabeth's reaction. She would probably judo-flip him. Or kick him where the sun doesn't shine. Or worse, hate him. 

Piper and Thalia shared amused looks. They couldn't figure out what was making Percy so nervous. The poor boy was shaking like a leaf! 

Percy cleared his throat. "So, I need your help. I want to tell Annabeth something that I've been hiding from her for a long time."

"Are you cheating on her!? Cause if you hurt my Annie, I'll make you beg for death. I'll torture you until you -" 

"Keep quiet Thalia. Can't you see you are scaring Percy. Besides, if he hurt Annabeth, she herself would kill him. Probably with variety of weapons," Piper said. 

Percy gulped. They weren't making stuff easier for him. He let out a sigh and started explaining.

"I'm a Prince. Before you laugh, hear me out. I'm the Prince of Atlanta, son of King Poseidon and Queen Sally. That's why I've never introduced Annabeth to my parents. I didn't want her to find out. I wanted her to like me for me, and not my money. I've decided to tell her now because my parents want me to get married to Princess Calypso of Ogygia instead. And I want to tell her all of this without getting physically hurt. And I need your help for that." 

Thalia and Piper looked at each other for a second and burst out laughing, resulting in a very, very, very confused Percy.

"I swear royalties these days!" Thalia said. 

"I know! They all are so messed up!" Piper said, wiping tears of laughter. 

"Look guys. If you don't believe me, I have my royal crown with me. And you can ask Jason, he knows!" 

"No, no. We believe you. Just tell it to Annabeth. On her face. She won't hurt you. In fact, she'll be happy. You might even get a kiss from her!" Thalia exclaimed.

Piper however was frowning. "You are telling me Jason knew about this, but didn't tell me? I thought we told each other everything! I am his girlfriend for god's sake!" 

"To be fair, you didn't tell him about Annabeth either" Thalia reasoned.

"Guys! Will you tell me what's going on? I'm clueless here" Percy asked helplessly. 

"You'll understand later. Now, go and tell Annie." 

And that's how Percy found himself standing in front of Annabeth, sweating buckets of water. 

"Annabeth?" 

"Yes?" 

Annabeth looked up from the book she was reading. She looked gorgeous, with her hair left open like a cascade of golden waters and few strands of hair falling on her forehead. 

Percy swallowed loudly. "I need to tell you something."
