Ask Me...
"Do you want to do it?"
"Well yes. Why wouldn't I Dean?"
Dean shifted uncomfortably. He didn't have an issue with the idea. He had an issue with the outcome. He refused to look anyone in the eye, instead found that his shoes were rather interesting. He shrugged and stood up.
"Okay then I guess." He left the compartment.
"Pansy don't."
Pansy had gotten up to follow him. "But Draco..."
"Draco is right Pansy. I'll go check up on him. I think I know what's wrong. What to come with me Seamus?"
Seamus nodded. "Sure Harry."
Draco was still blocking Pansy's path as Seamus made his way out of the compartment. Harry kissed Draco's cheek whispering a quick "thank you" before following Seamus out to find Dean.
"Where do you..."
"At the back." Harry said cutting Seamus off.
They walked quietly to the end of the train. Dean was leaning on the railing with his head hung. Harry walked up next to him and turned so he was facing the door. He leaned back resting on his shoulders. Seamus leaned against the door.
"I know what you're feeling." Seamus said.
Dean snorted. "Neville isn't jumping at the opportunity like Pansy."
"But that's because Neville isn't one to question." Harry shrugged.
"Yeah we know that he's happy with what he has. We all adapted that quality from him." Dean sighed. "I just... am I that bad of a boyfriend?"
"No you're not. Pansy's not the only one curious. Besides I'm sure Draco has probably told them what it feels like. And maybe if you understood that it wouldn't scare you." Harry said.
Seamus sighed. "Neville only doesn't want to do it because of me. I told him I'd rather not know because I can't handle the worry. So I get what you're feeling Dean. And we've been best mates since forever."
Dean nodded. "I just don't want to loose her."
"I'm sure Hermione doesn't want to loose Blaise. That's why they fought about it." Harry said.
"How do you know they fought?" Dean frowned at Harry.
"While you and Pansy were getting your freak on yesterday Hermione told Draco and I." Harry smiled at the red tinge on Dean's face.
"Do you think she's doing this because she doesn't want to be with me?"
"Absolutely not. I think she's doing it so that there's no room for doubt or denial. When Draco and I completed the bond properly we felt different. Our magic is stronger and I'm more aware of his emotions. It's... easier for me to be there for him when he needs me the most. And I don't have to worry about anyone trying to take him away. I think Pansy just wants to know that you would never leave her." Harry explained.
Dean pushed away from the railing looking at his friends. "What if I'm not her soulmate?"
"Then do the ritual to find yours." Seamus shrugged. "I get that you love her, but Hermione did explain how that artificial love can prevent two people from finding each other. If Pansy isn't your soulmate it just means there's someone else out there for you."
"Seamus is right you know. But don't loose hope. I didn't do the ritual but Adriana showed up when I needed her the most. When I found out about her I panicked. Because I had loved Draco for so long I wasn't ready to find out he wasn't meant for me. So I ignored her. The only way to deal with this is to go at it head first. Don't hesitate." Harry patted Dean's shoulder and walked past Seamus.
Dean and Seamus stayed a little longer still talking when Harry headed back. They had been friends longer that was why Harry had gone with Seamus and not one of the others. When Harry returned he saw Pansy's worried expression. He smiled at her as he sat down and wrapped an arm around Draco's waist.
"Where..."
"Talking with Seamus. They'll come back soon." Harry said and buried his face in the crook of Draco's neck.
Draco shifted so they were both more comfortable. Harry was sleepy because he had been having nightmares. He hadn't mentioned it to anyone but Draco knew. Draco knew because he woke up most nights feeling Harry's fear. Harry sighed happily and slowly went to sleep.
"Is he okay?"
Draco looked up from the sleeping Harry. "Yeah Hermione. Just lack of sleep from nightmares."
Hermione frowned. "But he didn't say anything. How do you know that?"
"The bond. Sometimes they're really bad and I wake up because I can sense his fear. I didn't tell you guys that though." Draco said.
Draco ran his fingers through Harry's hair. Moving it from his face. Harry shifted and hummed. Seamus walked in followed by Dean. Dean immediately sat next to Pansy and wrapped his arms around her waist. Seamus raised an eyebrow at Harry and shrugged it off. He sat in Neville's lap leaning against the window. Hermione was sitting in Blaise's lap so they were all able to fit comfortably in the compartment. Light conversation filled the space while Harry slept peacefully for the rest of the ride.
"Harry love we're almost at the station."
Harry groaned. "But Dray..."
Draco shook his head. "Love you can sleep when we get to the manor. My mother will be waiting for us on the platform."
"Fine." Harry yawned and stretched his arms above his head.

Narcissa was so thrilled to have Harry and Draco for Christmas break that she had decorated the whole house, save for the tree, a week before they were to arrive. She had gone Christmas shopping two days before. And she had even sent owls to Blaise, Pansy and Neville asking them to join on Christmas day. She only sent out three letters because their other halves were included in the letters. She had no idea about what had happened during the term and the teens agreed to keep it that way. They would all stay at Malfoy Manor until New Year's. Snape had sent Narcissa a letter informing her about the ritual he wished to do. Narcissa was delighted to help him out. So for the whole term she kept herself busy. She prepared rooms for each of the teens and a room for Severus. Then she prepared a room for them to do the ritual in and a separate room for their Christmas celebration. She had been a very busy woman.
She spotted Draco and Harry almost immediately. Laughing at the yawning Harry who looked like he may just fall to the ground. Draco was the one who noticed Narcissa since Harry was too busy trying not to end up sleep walking. He dragged Harry over to where his mother was and greeted her with a smile. Harry yawned, apologized and then gave Narcissa a warm hug. Narcissa aparated them to Malfoy Manor almost immediately. Draco had to stop Harry from tumbling over.
"Everything okay with him?" Narcissa asked.
"Yes mother. His body is just trying to catch up on sleep. I'm going to put him in bed quickly." Draco smiled.
Harry stuck his tongue out at Draco as they made their way to Draco's room. Draco waited a few minutes until he was sure Harry was asleep and went to the lounge where his mother was. He sat down next to her with a smile. They spoke about a lot and Draco told her about Harry's spirit snake. He left out the part where it left a nasty bruise because it was angry with him, but he did show his mother the mark at the bottom of his neck. Narcissa was so pleased but also a little shocked.
"Sweetheart I'm so happy you found each other." Narcissa smiled. "A little surprised that you have gone through the whole bond. But happy."
Draco blushed at the last part. "Thank you mother. You aren't going to be like Pansy and Hermione right? I mean asking about..."
"Oh Draco sweetheart I already know you're the bottom in the relationship." Narcissa stated.
Draco gaped at his mother. It definitely wasn't a question because she was too confident in her words. She just sipped on her tea a few times before setting her cup down and offering Draco a cup. Draco blinked at her and then nodded. Narcissa poured him a cup and smiled.

"What do you want for Christmas?"
"Ask me in four days."
"But Harry Christmas is in four days!"
Harry smiled. "I know Dray."
Draco huffed. "We're going shopping for the last gifts today. So..."
Harry shrugged. "Ask me on Christmas."
"You are insufferable." Draco frowned.
"Boys are you reading?"
"Yes Narcissa!" Harry kissed Draco's cheek and raced down the stairs.
Draco pouted as he followed. He had been asking Harry the same question since Hogwarts. Harry always said to ask him at a later date. It's not that Draco didn't get him anything because Draco had gotten him a number of stuff. He just wasn't sure what Harry would want more. So Draco decided then that he'd just give Harry all 9 gifts that he had bought. He figured he'd end up with a 10th by the end of the day. Draco was after all a very up-class guy. He would spoil Harry rotten with gifts every day if the boy just let him.
To Harry it wasn't about gifts. He knew Draco had purchased a number of items as gifts for him. Harry didn't only want the gifts Draco got. He wanted the person they were from as well. Admittedly Harry had only gotten Draco one item, but he wasn't happy with it. So he was using this final trip as a hunt for some sort of treasure. He wasn't very pleased when he turned up with nothing.

"Massster Harry."
"What do you want Adriana. I am not in the bessst of moodsss." Harry complained.
"Look what I found. I thought Massster Harry would apprecssiate it asss a gift for Massster Draco." Adriana sat in her human form with an open hand.
Harry raised an eyebrow at her before looking at what she had. It wasn't anything majorly stunning and shiny. But it was something that was one of a kind. It was a jewel, or more accurately, a diamond. But it wasn't a clear white diamond. The diamond had a mix of grey and blue. It was slightly dull but Harry could see it was from dust. Most people would throw such a thing away claiming it was a fake diamond. It was definitely a real diamond. Next to the diamond was a small snake charm about the size of a marble. Harry smiled at himself as he decided what he would do with both items. He thanked Adriana and asked her to make sure Draco wouldn't come looking for him. Adriana nodded and left.
