Chapter 33: Kidnapped
Pacifica POV
"What?" I questioned.
"I'm sorry I can't tell you more. The future is the stubborn part out of all of them. Just like someone I now." Dipper replied putting the card down.
"That can't be my future."
Dipper tilted his head, "What's wrong with it? I'm not in it?" He smirked.
I rolled my eyes, "No not that and I don't see that. I was told that I was going to die by the end of the summer."
Dipper laughed, "That is not a real teller."
"Your sister told me."
Dipper then stopped laughing, "She did this card trick on you?"
"Y-Yeah....She told me the future of mine was death at the end of the summer."
Dipper thought about it, "It could change. The future, like I told you, is stubborn and tricky. It could always change. Plus you can't see all of it."
I thought about it, "So I was going to die and now I wasn't. I wonder why?"
Dipper shrugged as he gather all the cards and flick his wrist, only leading it to one card. Then he put it back to his vest pocket.
I couldn't stop thinking about it. What cause this change? Then looking over at Dipper...that must be the answer.
Dipper then came over to me, leaning up to me, "did you have fun Pacifica?"
I looked into his blue eyes, "It wasn't as bad as I thought."
Dipper chuckled softly. He then brushes the loose hair from my pony tail behind my ear. He then brushed my cheek gently with his hand. Then he leaned in and softly kissed me.
I let it happened. I liked it.
Then he moved his hands to my back to pull me close to him. Then he pushed me back, now having me lay on my back as we kissed. I wrap my arms around his neck. We kissed for a few moment before I notice that something was off. Something was troubling him. Dipper then pulled back.
"You know Pacifica....I didn't want to tell you this but..." He spoke.
"Huh?"
"I read a bit of your present. It was when I was just looking at it. I'm sorry Pacifica."
"That's fine. I bet you didn't see much anyways." I then pulled him down and kissed him. He let me kiss him for about a minute and then pulled away again.
"But Pacifica." He muttered but I just kissed him again. After a little bit more he pulled back and sighs, "You're parents are getting a divorce"
"What?" I then sat back up as Dipper moved back a bit so I was able to sit up. "T-They are?"
"I'm sorry Pacifica. That is why you are here. They are working on the divorce while you are gone. They didn't want to do this. They want to do what's best for you. There isn't enough money for all three of you."
"This can't be."
"I'm sorry. That is the truth."
I lowered me head. He brushed my cheek, "I wish I could do something."
I looked up, "Your rich aren't you?"
Dipper looked up, "Yeah."
"You can give us some money!"
"I can't."
"Why not?"
"I'm rich because of my parents. In real life I have no money. I can't dig into my parent's fortune unless I'm in age."
"Huh?"
"It's a will thing...I don't know. All I know the reason why I have my house, servants, and so on because of my parents. They thought that they could be assassinated, so they made this deal with everyone that if they die before I could take the family name, they have to stay."
"Don't you have money from your show?"
"Stan takes it."
"He sure isn't fair."
"I agree but there is nothing I could do. I'm only 15, almost 16 when the summer ends. I have to be 18 for the money."
"Will Mabel take it?"
"Well, depends on the will. She did have the heirlooms because she is the eldest. I know I will get something because I'm the only one that can carry the family name."
"Which one Gleeful or Northwest?"
Dipper gave a small glare at me, "Which one has the money?"
I sigh, "Yeah yeah." I then pull up my knees and hugged them, "What's going to happen to me?"
Dipper lifted up my chin so I could look at him, "Hey, don't worry about it. Everything will work out."
"Yeah and who's going to make that happen? You? I like the thought, Dipper, but you are as useless as me. Nobody can help my family now."
Dipper tilted his head, "You are just a broken family. Whose family is perfect?"
"Yours at times"
Dipper laughed, "That is what we make you think. We are not perfect. Stan only took us in to get our money. He forces us into a show and takes that money. Mabel isn't the greatest sister. I say that your cousin is more of the perfect siblings. We are not perfect."
I gave a small smile. He looks at me with soft eyes. I just looked away, "I just don't want them to be separated."
"I know."
"I don't want to lose them."
"I know."
"I wish there is something I can do."
"Me too."
I then turn and look back at Dipper, "You have a demon. Can I make a deal with him?"
"Make a deal with him? Wait how did you know that I have a demon?"
"You have magical powers. I figure a demon was a part of it." I came up with something.
Dipper sighs, "You are smart but you shouldn't go making deals with demons."
"Why not?"
"Because I made on and regret it. First off...yes I do have a demon servant but it came at a cause. He possessed me for a short time. Strange it was. Watching your body move, talk...cry. Then later we enslave him and he became our personal demon until the day I die."
I hit his arm, "How mean."
"It isn't mean. It's call using resources."
I rolled my eyes, "Whatever."
Dipper wrapped his arm around me, "But still...don't make a deal with him. Even though he is worthless and such...he still finds loop holes to it."
I then sighed, "Then I'm just going to be separated from my family forever."
"Everything will work out, I promise. I won't let this happened. I'll find a way to make sure that your family is together."
I gave a small smile and look up at him, "Thanks Dipper."
He smiled back, "Of course, my love." Then he kissed the top of my head. I then sigh, "I should get going." I then stood up. Dipper slowly nod his head, "I guess." Then he waved his hand and everything was put back into the basket. Then he stood up, "I'll just take you home and I'll take care of everything."
I nod my head. Dipper then got up and hugs me. Then he releases me and I was back at the Shack. I look up at him, "Thanks."
"See, I told you that you'll have fun."
I playfully shove him away, "So what? Doesn't mean we are a thing or a second date."
"Uh huh."
I then gave him a small peck to say goodbye, "I'll see you later."
He smiled, "Okay."
I then headed to the house. I close the door, having a smile on my face. It was fun. Dipper was so sweet...a jerk yes...but he has a soft side with that charm.
"Hey Paz." Gideon asked coming down the stairs.
"Yeah Gideon?"
"So while you were in town for a few hours....I forgot to tell you there was something else Dad needed."
"What's that?"
"The candy store. Dad ran out of candy."
I sighed, "Okay, okay...I'll get my bike and do the order."
"Thanks." Gideon smiled then it dropped, "Now I have to go clean the oven. You got the easy stuff..."
"Going back and forth? Not really."
Gideon shrugged, "I would trade you but Dad has his orders...we better not break them."
I nod my head, "I agree on that."
I then went back outside and grabbed my bike and again....heading back to town. I then road by bike back to candy store. I headed in, "Hey Tuck."
"Hey! It's my blonde friend. What do you need?"
"Do you got some more boxes for me to just keep Uncle Bud happy until next week?"
Tuck thought about it, "I'm sure I got something in the back. Hold on." Tuck then left to go to the back room. I looked around the store, waiting for him. Minutes later Tuck came out with a box, "This is all I got."
I took the box, "Thanks Tuck."
"No problem blondie Paz."
I chuckled, "Bye Tuck. See you later."
"Catch ya on the flip side!"
I put the box on my bike, strapping it in, and started to ride off, heading back to the shack. I was careful about driving my bike this time. I looked both ways and everything to make sure i wasn't going to run into trouble.
I stopped at this one curb since a car was coming up. The car stopped, seeing me. It was a dark car with dark windows but I could see a hand waving for me to pass. I nod my head as I started to petal across the road to get to the other side. As I was getting close to the car these men came out of the car.
One man stepped right in front of me. I stopped by bike from not running him over, having to turn my front wheel sharply to dodge his toes. "What the hec-" I started before a man came up behind me and clamp his hand over my mouth. I tried screaming as he was pulling me off of my bike.
I started to squirm and kick around but once he got me off my bike, he wrapped his arm around my front to pin my arms. Then lifted me off the ground, having me feet kick up in the air. The other man grabbed my bike and pulled it off to the side.
I was being carried to the car, in the back seat. I knew what this was...a kidnapping.
I tried to fight but they shove me into the back, where another guy was waiting. I was pulled in and the third guy pulled me in and stuff this cloth onto my face. I was feeling sleepy instantly and I started to feel very weak. I still tired screaming and squirm but it was quickly cease as I passed out.
Dipper POV
I was reading through the journal...well I wasn't really reading it. I couldn't stop thinking about Pacifica. It was the best date in the history I bet....well....I think it could have gone better if her parents weren't getting into a divorce and me having to tell her. Other than that...it was really nice.
I've never met a girl like her before. She is one of a kind and I'm going to keep her.
Then the door to the study opened but I didn't bother to look or care. Then suddenly an large envelope was shove into my face, "This is for you, brother."
I got it off my face and glared at her, "I can see. Don't see you stuffing it into other people's faces."
Mabel snickered as she went over to the mirror to admire herself or to fix something. I really didn't care so I didn't pay attention.
I sat up and lay the journal on my lap and open the envelope.
"I hope it's something that Ford left us. You know...his will and so on." Mabel asked, looking into the mirror to fix her hair.
"Of course that is all you care about in Ford's death." I snapped.
I then pulled out what was in the large envelope. There was a piece of paper but it was strange. It was made up of cut up letters from magazines or headlines from the newspaper. I read it to myself, "If you want your girlfriend back alive, get 500,000 dollars. Put that in a briefcase and meet us at the old wear-house at the corner of West Hill and North Rock. Come alone and with the money or she'll die."
I read it twice. This couldn't be true. They had to be bluffing. Pacifica was back at home. I took her there. I then check in the envelope for more things, if there were any, and there was. There was a picture and yes...it was Pacifica. She was bonded and gag and asleep...I hope. Well she better be for this trade. Then there was a small clump of her blond hair. I tighten my grip around it.
I'm going to murder them.
Bet you didn't see that coming. :)
