Memoir Confession
This Memoir was very difficult to write. Part of me was a bit hesitant to even consider it, but the fact I've still felt the brunt of his loss, means I still have issues. I'm still damaged. So when the opportunity came around, I chose him for my person Memoir. He wasn't perfect, but nobody is. Hell, if he was... My sister wouldn't have married him. Knowing her, that kind of stuff would bug her to no end.
Truthfully speaking here, I did find myself a bit saddened when I wrote this. Not just in recent days but this goes for every day since he died. When writing his memoir, I cried a little. I almost did in class and it would've been embarrassing but it's what I felt. Writing the scene where we did see my nephew an innocent but confused look in his eyes... It kinda broke me all over again.
I really do hope his family will enjoy this as I only want to honor his memory from the way I saw things. It's not being ignorant, it's being proactive. It also helps Braden feel better as if he knew all the details now, he'd be severely damaged. He's too young for that.
All in all, I hope any of you who read this, loved this piece. Trust me, it wasn't easy to be open but I did it. I also don't know how my family and I pulled through this, though we made it happen. We really, really did.
