Guys I had this idea in the shower XDXD

Poppy had been working a bit too much lately. She was running around the village, making sure everyone was alright and doing her daily queen duties. Unfortunately, today was just too much.

"Coming-" Poppy started to say to one troll, but another interrupted her. "Poppy! Queen Poppy! PoPpY!"

People just kept calling out to her. She couldn't handle it and sprinted off. She slowed down once she reached her pod, but she didn't go inside. Instead, she turned around and started walking to the only place where comfort would be: Branch's bunker.

Branch never made Poppy knock if she really wanted or needed to come in. He understood how stressful it can be being queen sometimes, so he always let her in. He knew she liked cuddling.

Poppy opened the hatch to Branch's bunker and let herself in. She headed down the elevator, and when she got down, she called, "Branch? You here?"

She walked around, looking for her boyfriend. She couldn't find him, but when she looked in his bedroom, she saw Branch sleeping.

She wanted to cuddle, so she wanted to wake him up. She thought about shouting, because she was too stressed, but then she remembered: self control, Poppy. Self control.

When Poppy was little, she had been diagnosed with a minor condition that caused her to lose a bit of self control when she got stressed or anxious. She tended to shout a lot, but she learned to mostly control it over time.

Instead, she gently shook him and said, "Branch, could you wake up?" Branch twitched, and sleepily opened his eyes. "Poppy?" He asked.

Poppy said, "There's too much going on." Branch knew what she wanted and asked, "You want cuddles?" Poppy climbed into bed with him without any hesitation. (Omg I just realized how dirty that sounds help-)

Branch smiled warmly at her. He was lucky to have the queen as his girlfriend. He cuddled with her and calmed her down.

Poppy loved the feeling when he hugged her. It was enough to soothe her when something was wrong. Then she heard him cough a small cough. CoRoNa

She looked at him, question I'm her eyes. "Something wrong?" She asked. Branch shook his head. "It's nothing," he said.

But Poppy gave him a look that meant she wanted the truth. She didn't like when something was wrong with Branch.

Branch sighed and said, "Fine, I'm just a little sick." Poppy said, "Nothing serious?" Branch liked her concern. "I thought I was supposed to be the paranoid one," he joked.

Poppy giggled. "True. Though you know I don't like when you're not fine." Branch fully embraced her and Poppy squealed, delighted by the fluttery feeling.

Branch kissed her on the nose and Poppy blushed. They has their first kiss not too long ago, and they were still getting used to the sensation.

Then Branch sneezed. Poppy looked at him again. "Want some soup or something?" She asked. Branch shrugged and nodded. Poppy hugged him one more time before getting out of bed to make the soup.

After she was done making it, she went back to the room. "Branch?" Poppy asked. "Soup's ready-" She saw that he had fallen asleep again.

She smiled and walked over to him. She stroked his cheek. She found him really cute. She didn't want to wake him up, but she wanted him to get better, so she lightly shook him.

Branch groaned, not wanting to wake up. (Me in the morning tho.) "Branchifer, I have your soup ready," Poppy said. Still half-asleep, Branch sat up. "C'mon. It's in the other room."

So Branch got up to go eat. He sat down and got ready to take a bite, but then he actually saw it. Poppy had arranged the noodles I'm a little heart shape; it's how they always place their food when they eat together.

Branch smiled at Poppy, who smiled back. She knew he'd like it. He started eating, the suddenly Poppy gasped. "I have to go do finish all the things today!"

She started to run towards the elevator, but before she could take two steps, Branch grabbed her hand. "Whoa whoa whoa, slow down. You came down here I'm the first place because you had to much to do," Branch said.

Poppy tried to argue. "B-But- but I-" Branch stopped her. "I'm not gonna let you get stressed again today. You're staying" he said.

Poppy gave in and sat down next to him. Branch smirked. "Plus, you'll have a lot more fun with me than doing work," he said. (Again with the dirty mind-!)

Poppy smiled again. "Yeah, okay." When Branch was done eating, he said, "Wanna watch a movie?" Poppy happily nodded with a grin.

So the two spent the rest of the day watching a movie. Idk how else to end this oneshot.
