"C'mon, c'mon!" Queen Poppy was hosting another random party today, and she of course had to drag Branch along. The young queen was a bit to excited.

Branch was laughing at his girlfriend who was currently dragging him by the hand. "Poppy, I can move myself, ya know!" he joked.

Poppy let go of him and said, "Sorry! I just wanna get to the party!" She giggled. This was the first party she was hosting that would have all the other leaders invited, and the first party in a while.

Branch smiled. It was cute when she got excited. He followed Poppy to the party, Poppy skipping the whole way there.

Once they were there, Poppy noticed Barb and Riff talking at a food table. Poppy was glad to see her bestie showed up early. "Hi Barb!!" Poppy said. Barb turned her head and waved at her.

Before Poppy attacked her with a giant hug, she calmed down. She had practiced this because she knew her hyper energy could bother other trolls, and as the most energetic Pop troll, it was a bit hard, but she's working on it.

Barb side-hugged her friend, and as she did, Branch and Barb shared a look. They were both proud of her for keeping her energy level to a ten instead of a million. Branch had also helped her since she learned her lesson about being a good queen and listening to others.

"So, when's the food being served? I don't wanna eat everything before the last troll gets here," Barb asked. Poppy rolled her eyes playfully. "Help yourself, just don't eat everything," she responded.

Over the next few minutes, a good amount of trolls arrived. Poppy was checking on everyone to see if they needed anything, Branch was sitting on the side watching to make sure everyone was safe, and Barb was eating everything she could.

Soon, the music started, and everyone (mostly the Pop trolls) started to dance. Even a few other tribes joined, especially when the music changed genres.

After a while, Poppy decided to watch. She stood around, smiling. It felt good seeing everyone get along. Branch was observing something else. He finally walked over to Poppy.

"So, it looks like this isn't the biggest, the loudest, or the craziest party ever this time," Branch said, smirking. Poppy turned and smiled at him. "Nope," she giggled.

She glanced at him a bit shyly. "I've- I've learned a lot. I know I shouldn't throw big parties. Even if the Bergens are our friends now. You were right when you warned me about them," she said.

Branch just smiled. "And you've come a long way from that," Branch said. "You're learning, and I'm proud of you for that," he said lovingly. Poppy blushed a bit and said, "Thank you." She grinned. "Now, c'mon, let's dance!"

She took his hand and he followed her to the middle. They were having a blast, and soon Poppy went over to grab a bite. She took a cupcake for herself, then another chocolate one for her boyfriend. She walked back to him and offered it.

Branch gladly took it and ate it in a few bites. Poppy laughed at him. She knew he had a weak spot for chocolate (and her.)

As Poppy was finishing up her cupcake, she suddenly heard a faint voice. Poppy stopped and glanced at Branch. "Did you hear that?" She asked. Branch's ears twitched back to where it was coming from. His unique ears could pick up sound better than any troll they knew.

Then they heard it again. "Where are those trolls? I'm hungry!" The ground began to shake, more and more each second. It finally came close enough and they saw that it was a- "Bergen!" Poppy gasped.

Branch instinctively took Poppy's hand. He was worried, but he had to stay calm. Poppy then said, "I don't think she wanted to ask us for food..." They both knew what she meant.

Poppy yelled, "RUN, hide! Blend in, blend in!" She looked at the other monarchs who had absolutely no clue what was going on. She ran to them and said, "Guys, you have to go hide, now! Trust me, please go!"

Barb said, "What is that thi-" but Poppy interrupted, "Barb! Not the time, I'll explain later!" The Bergen was getting closer. They decided to take her word for it and went and hid.

Branch watched Poppy, once again proud of her for trying to keep things under control. The Bergen was really close now. He had to do something...

Poppy saw her dad coming out of his pod to see what all the commotion was. "Poppy?" He asked. Poppy just said, "Bergen, go back inside!" Peppy looked a bit worried, but he knew his daughter had it under control.

Branch was attempting to fight the Bergen. He was close to her, and the Bergen just got annoyed. She stomped and knocked him over, and reached down to grab him.

Poppy was looking again to see if anyone needed help. She saw Branch on the ground and the Bergen reaching towards him. "Branch!!!" She called. She couldn't lose him.

She ran to him and pushed him out of the way just in time, but unfortunately she was caught instead. Branch yelled, "Poppy!" He immediately extended his hair for Poppy to grab, and Poppy did the same. Their hair grabbed each other and Branch pulled as hard as he could to get her out of the Bergen's grasp.

Poppy came free and fell, landing on top of Branch, but they wasted no time at all. Branch helped her up and under a nearby mushroom. They used their hair to camouflage.

Poppy held on to Branch for comfort, her arms around him tightly. Branch was also holding her, trying to calm her down. She must be terrified. They heard the Bergen leave, and they slowly let go and put their hair back to normal.

They walked out from underneath. Poppy had the most scared expression. Branch grabbed her hand and said, "Poppy, are- are you okay?"

Poppy tried to answer, but she couldn't. She just hugged him and tight. Branch stroked her hair. He gasped softly and said, "Oh, you're shaking..."

After being in his arms a bit more, Poppy was pretty calm. She said, "Th-that was scary..." Branch looked at her with concern in his eyes. "Yeah... But you're okay now. It's gone."

She stepped back, but soon threw her arms around him again. "Why would you risk yourself like that?! You really scared me!" Branch hesitated. "Because I want to protect you.. you and the kingdom."

Poppy slightly smiled, but she said, "Well, don't so that again! I- I don't wanna lose you like I did my mom..." Branch gasped, now knowing how she lost her mom. He felt bad. "I- okay.." They shared a hug once more.

She calmed down some more, then she walked to the others. "Guys, don't ask me to explain now, I just need you to go home. I can't let you get hurt," she said to them.

They were about to say something, then decided to keep their mouth shut. They nodded and went home, trusting she knew what she was talking about.

They were all still a bit shook, but recovered. Branch said, "Poppy, we need to get everyone in the bunker, now. The Bergen could come back any time!"

Poppy looked at him confusedly. "What? No, we're safe enough out here!" Branch was also confused. "No, bunker."

"Out here."

"Bunker."

"Out here."

"Bunker!"

"Out he-!"

Poppy stopped. She sighed. "Look, I don't want to argue," she said. She looked up at him with a face that said please, I don't wanna ruin this relationship.... again.

Branch saw what she meant by that face. He remembered the last argument they had, and they both didn't like it. Poppy thought for a second.

"H-how about... for now, we stay out here where I'm pretty sure it's safe, and if it ever comes back, we'll- we'll do whatever you want," Poppy said.

Branch asked, "Like going to the bunker?" Poppy nodded. "If it comes back?" Poppy nodded again. "If it comes back," she confirmed.

It looks like they had a deal. They hugged. "Thanks," Poppy said. "I- I didn't want another argument..." Branch said, "I know... I love you." Poppy smiled. "I love you, too, Branch." She pulled back and giggled.

Branch smiled hearing her laugh. "See? That giggle says it all," he teased. Poppy giggled again. Branch booped her and nuzzled her nose. Poppy returned the loving gesture, hoping they were all safe now.
