All I had to do was mix softened butter with the mix and water. This is what happened when the butter wasn't soft enough and I put the mix in the microwave for a few seconds before baking it.

The cookies are as hard as rocks.

I am disappointed.

On the bright side, the strawberry cookies I made were tasty.

But, I didn't get a picture of them before they disappeared.
