The Last Roleplay pt 3

M:   Prudoria immediately hid behind Iremacht when he saw Schwitzy, he didn't need to see her for more than five seconds to decide that she was the scariest person he had ever seen in his life.

"Wait what, don't leave me alone with her," he squeaked in fear when Iremacht left, "I know I said I killed people but that doesn't make me a tough guy, she looks like she'll gut me with her bare hands!"

He turned back to Schwitzy and raised his hands in surrender, "please don't hurt me," he quietly whimpered, his eyes glowing brightly and turning black.

L:   Schwitzy ignored Prudoria's whining and stepped toward him to take a good look at his face. Then she leaned back in exasperation.

"Another eye-swapping freak," she scowled. "And a Prussia-Mandoria mix at that. You're a killing machine. Has Machty lost his mind letting you stay here?" She started walking away, not bothering to check if Prudoria was following. "First thing I need to make clear: DON'T show your black eyes when you're around me. I don't care if you can't control it. If I see you with black eyes again, I will put a knife to your throat until they're gone."

----------

While Schwitzy took over the business with Prudoria, Iremacht had gone down to the mansion's underground laboratory. Several researchers, scientists, and guards worked away at the giant screens spread over the walls. Iremacht handed the USB to one such human, who immediately began analysis for the data and information it contained.

Profiles and reports began popping up on the huge central screen that covered one wall. Iremacht skimmed through details about genetic experiments, potential combinations, and failed attempts. There didn't appear to be any trials yet at this particular Russian facility. But he wasn't necessarily looking for that. Instead, he ordered the researchers to open a different folder that listed the locations of various other existing facilities.

"Ah, so there is one in Mandara," he smirked. "Open that one. There. The Prussia-Mandoria trials." There were more than a thousand numbered Prussia-Mandoria trials listed. He went straight to the last one - 3948.

"Download this one," he ordered. "And send me the full report."

M:   That terrified Prudoria to his very core, his eyes were glowing so brightly that you couldn't see the black anymore, he was that scared of Schwitzy. Not knowing what to do, and damn sure not going to go anywhere with this demon lady, he ran in the opposite direction to get away from her.

While he ran, he was using his wings to find the one person he trusted, TU. Even though TU didn't have wings, thanks to Prudoria's artificial nature, he was able to track the specific wavelengths that all creatures emitted, and he somehow knew how to look for TU's.

When he found the insurgent, he nearly knocked him to the floor as he wrapped his arms and one wing around his friend, on the verge of tears.

"Please don't leave me alone again," he pleaded, "the snake lady is terrifying, she said she was going to stab me if my eyes turned black, don't let her hurt me, please, don't leave again!"

L:   "Whoa!" TU yelped when Prudoria leaped onto him from out of nowhere. "Snake lady? What are you -" His red skin turned a little paler as the blood drained from his face. "Schwitzy?? Did you make her mad?" His heart beat fiercely in panic as he checked the direction that Prudoria had come from to make sure she wasn't there. "Why'd you lead her to me?? I can't help you, I'm as terrified of her as you are! Let go!"

He pushed Prudoria away from him and held him out by the shoulders. "Why is she mad? Why are your eyes black? Ah SHIT, your eyes are black!" The pieces came together in TU's head and he even gave Prudoria a little shake. "You gotta turn them back to normal before she gets here. Come on, you can do it! Just, um, calm down!" TU wasn't doing a great job at helping him with that.

----------

"He's the second successful countryhuman created by these people," Iremacht read from the profile. "So the first ... Hm, find me information on Jeramy Norman and the facility he worked at."

In a matter of minutes, the details were pulled up on the screen.

"So his lackeys continued his work after he was sent to prison," Iremacht murmured. "And the first success was the one they now call Adira. But Prudoria said they mentioned his name frequently ... Is he somehow plotting while in jail?" He chuckled. "Sounds like something I would do too. Fair enough. I think we need to pay Mandara a visit."

M:   That honestly made Prudoria panic even more, but he did as told and switched his eyes back to white, though they didn't stop glowing since he was still freaking out. He was basically having a panic attack right now, hyperventilating and his legs felt shaky, he didn't know why he was so afraid, at this point it was becoming overdramatic but he couldn't help it.

He then slid down to the floor and hid his head in his knees, but not only that, a bright flash of light surrounded him and a crystal blue dome encircled him. Because half of Prudoria's genes were shared with Mandoria, one of the last members of magical countryhumans called Eternals, the country inherited some of his "father's" powers, though he didn't know how to control them well and they would go off randomly.

Prudoria was crying inside his force field, he was so scared, it was almost worse than the facility he was kept in, and for once, he wanted to go back.

L:   "What the ...?" TU stumbled away from the blue dome that appeared out of thin air. Where did it come from? Was Prudoria wearing some device that could summon force fields at will? Actually what if it was meant for offense? Judging from Prudoria's sobs, however, TU doubted that.

"Hey." He crouched down in front of Prudoria, careful not to get close to the dome in case it was electric or something. "It's all good. Schwitzy's scary but she won't really hurt you. Her threats are just part of her tough act. She's a little touchy about people who can swap eyes like you but you didn't know so it's not your fault. You're not in trouble, Prudoria. Could you lower your shield please?"

"What else can he do?" came a voice down the hall. "Teleport?"

TU turned to face Schwitzy as she strolled up to them. She appeared calm but her slightly disheveled bun said she'd been running. TU rolled his eyes at her and growled, "Look what you did. You scared him. Why do you have to be so mean?"

"CHiseyes are back to normal now," she huffed. "I was just helping him regain control. The sooner he learns to control his powers and not pop a Star Wars force field around himself randomly, the easier it will be to keep himself safe."

"Powers?" TU echoed in confusion. "Like SUPERpowers?"

"Ja, dimwit. He's half Mandorian. He's literally a mythical being. Go back to history class."

"WHAT? That is so cool!" TU stared at Prudoria with a new excited look. "What else can you do, Prudoria?" He also hoped talking would calm him down.

M:   Prudoria looked up when everyone was talking, he tried to scoot further away from Schwitzy but just pressed himself against his shield since he apparently couldn't pass through it. TU's lighthearted voice helped him feel a little better and he stopped crying, though would still sniffle every now and then.

"I-I don't know," he admitted quietly, "it just kind of happens, I don't know what triggers it or how to control it. For the most part, I can only do this shield thing, though it only happens when I'm really scared and won't go away until I've calmed down enough. Though once I did make every electronic in the facility turn off for five minutes; lights, monitors, anything with a battery or wall socket just shut down."

He looked up at Schwitzy and whimpered again, "please don't hurt me."

L:   "Such a crybaby," Schwitzy snorted. "I've been instructed not to lay a finger on you by our hospitable cousin Iremacht. Unless you, I don't know, stab Tutu here. Even then, I may not intervene."

TU scowled and tried to elbow her but she easily dodged.

"A facility-wide shutdown would be pretty useful in a heist," TU mused, turning his attention back to Prudoria. "If we help you train, maybe you could do it for hours on end! That would be amazing. We could steal so much stuff."

"You are a horrible influence," said Schwitzy.

"You're literally in the same line of work as me," TU pointed out.

"Don't listen to him, Prudoria. You'll want to be a law-abiding citizen in this world. It doesn't yet know what to do about creations like you and the unknown makes people ... afraid."

TU glanced sympathetically at Prudoria. "Well, he's kinda already killed a bunch of people ..."

Schwitzy narrowed her eyes on their guest. "Were they BAD people?"

M:   "To me," Prudoria admitted, "they created me, but they hurt me too, and when they weren't hurting me they just kept me in a water tank, never letting me out unless it was to test on me. When ... Tutu, found me, he took off my collar, it was really tight and would shock me every 30 minutes, I guess it sensed that I was out of the facility."

For some reason, talking about his time in the facility calmed him down as the shield slowly faded, though Prudoria didn't notice since his head was resting on his knees.

"I'm so tired," he muttered, "I'm tired of hurting, of being afraid, I want the pain to stop, but I'm too weak to make it stop."

L:   "Aargh, now you've got him using that stupid nickname!" TU grumbled at his cousin. "It's Third. Union. I am literally the combination of the two most infamous countries in history. I am NOT a kiddy skirt!"

"The force field is gone," Schwitzy said, completely ignoring TU. "Good, we've made progress." She bent over so her face was closer to Prudoria's. "Clearly you aren't weak. You sought vengeance on those who harmed you, gruesomely so and I love it. Make the bad people pay. Never forget that."

Both Third Union and Schwitzy suddenly stood straight as footsteps approached. Moments later, Iremacht appeared and smiled at them. When he wanted his presence known, he would make noise.

"Either the guest quarters was a very quick tour," he said, observing how Prudoria was curled up on the ground, "or you two have once again terrified a visitor. I hope your session was ... productive, at least?"

"My fault," Schwitzy admitted. "I'm the scary lady today, could you tell?"

"Glad I will not be here to witness more of it then," said Iremacht. "I will be heading ... out of 'town' tomorrow." He extended a hand to help Prudoria up. "Apologies I couldn't spend more time with you. But I'm leaving to see someone who may have more information about the people who hurt you. That's what you want, isn't it?"

M:   Prudoria let out a breath of relief when Iremacht came back, he and TU were the ones he felt most safe being around. When he was helped up he shrugged at the entity's question.

"I don't know, to be honest, I've had enough of them," he sighed, "I don't want to hear about them, I don't even want to think about them, I just want to start over, have a chance at a normal life."

He paused as he let out a large yawn, "I also wouldn't mind a nap, to be honest, I've had enough action for one day. I've never slept on a bed actually, I've heard that it's like sleeping on a cloud, is that true?"

L:   Iremacht was quite surprised at Prudoria's answer. It seemed he had no interest in getting revenge on the organization. Iremcaht gave TU a look and TU nodded back.

"Allow me to explain to you all the perks of beds then," TU said happily, guiding Prudoria towards the guest quarters' side of the house. "I'll show you to your room since Schwitzy did such a horrible job the first time. Beds are the best creation in the world. Once you lay on one, you'll never want to leave."

-----------

While TU led Prudoria away, Iremacht pulled Schwitzy aside.

"You're going to Mandara, aren't you?" she immediately guessed.

"Mm," affirmed Iremacht, not bothering to ask how she knew because nothing ever escaped Schwitzy. "If Pru doesn't want to get involved, I will respect his wishes. But this organization wants our heads, so it needs to be shut down. The facility he came from had a hand in creating the other artificial countryhuman currently under the Mandarian's care. Their mastermind sits in the Mandarian prison as well."

"What makes you think the Mandarians will help you? Have you forgotten we're criminals? We stole tech from their militant entity literally two weeks ago."

"MA isn't the one I want to talk to," said Iremacht. "Don't worry, I'll handle it. In the meantime, make sure Prudoria doesn't leave this place. His wing is still healing so he has no reason to fly. If you are able to train him to control his powers, that would be a plus."

"Tch, whatever you say," Schwitzy grunted. "Consider it done. Good luck."

M:   Prudoria listened intently as TU explained beds, he kind of amused himself that he was so fascinated by the simplest things, but he couldn't help it.

When they got to his room he was quite taken aback, it was much bigger than he expected, it had its own sitting area, privet bathroom, and a balcony. He walked over to the middle and spun around to take it all in, a surprise smile spread across his face.

"This is amazing," he declared, "and it's all mine? I can't believe this is real."

He then walked over to the bed and face-planted in it, humming and purring in contentment, "this is nice, it's better than a cloud, it's so soft."

L:   "Haha, yep it's all yours," TU grinned. "We're rich as fuck, so this kind of pleasure is exclusive to us. Let me show you into the bathroom."

It was built from marble and pristine white walls. A marble bathtub rested in the middle; a glass shower stall stood to the side. Towels were neatly folded beside the tub, along with various soaps and lotions.

"If you want to wash before you sleep, everything is here for you. Use anything you'd like. Just in case ..." TU opened one of the cabinets and took out the bottle at the very back. "This is a special soap for your wings. There's a brush here too. We rarely get winged guests but we know plenty of winged people, so we keep these in handy."

His phone rang at that moment and he checked it to see Schwitzy's name. "Ah, scary lady's calling. I'll leave you to it then. Someone might come to get you for dinner but the rest of the time is yours to nap or explore the guest area."

He strolled out, taking the call as he went. "Sup."

"Iremacht has left for Mandara. We're on babysitting duty."

"I didn't expect Machty to go so soon," TU mumbled. "Hope he finds something."

M:   Prudoria looked between TU and the shampoo bottle, slightly confused since he's never taken a proper bath before, sure his tank had sanitary water that kept him clean, but that wasn't really the same thing.

He decided he would figure it out later and went back to his bed, crawling into it without changing his clothes and melted into the soft fabric, never had he felt so comfortable in his whole life. He lay there in bliss for a moment, just taking in everything while enjoying his new bed, and slowly fell asleep.
