The Last Roleplay pt: 1
No, I'm not stopping my roleplays with anyone, I mean my last RP with 0luv0love0, we started it a few months ago and now that he's gone it will most likely never be finished. So to honor his memory and show my gratitude for being my first and very best friend, I'm publishing what we did get done here.
Some context: this is about three years after Adira was found, I finally figured out what to do with my Mandoria x Prussia ship kid and I had him be an experimental creation made by the same people who created Adira. They thought that by combining two former King Wings it would allow them to overthrow the natural countryhumans, of course, it didn't work out well for them.
Without further spoiling, here's what our last roleplay came to be:
M: It was a cold spring evening, the sun was just starting to set, casting long shadows on a quiet forest below. The stillness was shattered by a figure bolting through the thicket, running like their life depended on it, and every once in a while attempting to take flight with their large wings.
The mysterious country crashed with a grunt when he tried to fly again, he was frustrated, what was the point of his wings if he didn't know how to fly, out of all the times to be grounded this was not a good one. Exhausted, the country leaned against a tree to catch his breath, he had finally escaped from the cursed imprisonment he had been held in his whole life, no longer would he be a toy for humans to experiment on, this fact made him laugh in relief.
That joy was broken when he felt a jolt of electricity flow through him, causing him to shout in pain. He growled and yanked at the metal collar around his neck, he couldn't take it off, the scientist made sure of that because it was how they kept him under control, not that it could save them from him slaughtering them all.
After a minute more, the country stood up and kept walking, he needed to find someplace warm for the night, the tank he was kept in didn't allow for clothes since he was underwater most of his life, but he didn't care, he'd rather freeze to death than spend another day there. He looked back the way he came once more, a satisfied smile etched on his face, and continued onward, not knowing where he would go, just knowing that he was never going back.
L: Third Union's car was the only one on this quiet road through the Polish forest. He preferred driving himself rather than having a chauffeur - it's not like he'd lost the ability to drive just because he was a countryhuman, which seemed to annoyingly be the case for most of the stuck-up countryhumans in this world.
TU was returning from half a month's worth of stirring up trouble between the Baltic states and Russia. The fact that the Baltics had a great relationship with Germany helped move along his plans to distract his half-brother and buy TU enough time to sneakily download valuable information, which he had in a USB drive right in his belt pouch.
He was ready to go home to the mansion, take a nice long bath, and -
"FUCKING - " TU slammed on the brakes as his headlights skimmed past a figure near the edge of the forest. He swerved his car away and stopped a little way down the road.
He peered cautiously through his wing mirror at the person.
M: The country immediately hid behind a few bushes, fearing he was about to be caught by a human, only his glowing eyes visible through the leaves. He stared for a while, wondering why the person didn't continue driving, he knew what cars were despite never seeing one, so shouldn't it be driving away?
Confused and slightly curious, the country crawled out of the bushes and took a few steps towards the car, though still kept his distance. He just stared, the only movement he made was tilting his head every once in a while, but otherwise did nothing.
Eventually, he got bored of waiting for something to happen, his eyes stopped glowing and returned to normal. He slowly turned away and tried again to fly, but again he crashed, unfortunately, this time he fell at an odd angle and landed right on his right wing, shouting in pain when he felt it snap.
L: "Wings?" TU muttered in surprise. "That's not a human."
He watched this ... stranger step towards his car. TU had his hand on his strapped pistol but those eerily glowing eyes didn't harbor malice. More like curiosity? Suddenly the eyes stopped glowing, the figure turned away, and flew.
And crashed. And, from that pained cry, broke something.
TU slowly got out of his car, keeping his eyes on the figure, which he now determined to be a countryhuman after a closer look at his skin. He still had a hand on his gun just in case as he walked towards the winged man. This could most definitely be an ambush of some kind. Why was he doing this? What if Russia sent this guy after him?
"Oi," TU barked. "Who're you?"
M: The country jerked his head back when he heard the voice, panicked, he jumped up and got into a defensive stance, flaring his left wing while his right hung limply from his back. His eyes started glowing again and his sclera turned an inky black.
"I-I-I'm ... 3948," he said, his voice was slightly raspy and his words muddled like it was difficult for him to speak, "I-I mean no h-harm."
He yelped again as his collar activated, shocking him so hard he fell to his knees, then to his stomach, he was weakened by the injuries he sustained from his escape, add on the broken wing and he was starting to reach his limit of what he could take.
He fruitlessly tried to take off his collar again, knowing it wasn't going to come off, then just went limp as he gave up. He was so tired, he just needed to rest, but he needed help at the same time, and he had a feeling that this was the only chance he was going to get.
"H-help, please," he muttered, "so tired, need h-help, p-please."
L: A shock collar? TU grew more and more suspicious as the military side of his brain started calculating. There must be a reason why this countryhuman needed a shock collar. And numbers for a name? He looked like he'd escaped from somewhere, but where? And why? He couldn't have walked far so it must've been from either Poland or Mandara.
TU hesitated, but seeing him in so much pain and his own distaste for shock collars made him kneel beside the man. He noted that he didn't recognize his flag at all.
"Clearly whoever you're running from is still looking for you," TU grumbled, observing the active collar. It looked pretty tight around his throat. "I'm gonna get this piece of shit off. Don't panic."
TU slid out a knife from one of his belt straps and carefully cut into where the collar's clip was. It eventually made a dying btzz sound and fell to the ground.
M: 3948 flinched when the knife was pulled out, but he held still as the stranger cut into his collar, he jolted at the btzz noise and then started coughing as the pressure on his throat finally released.
After a moment of catching his breath, the country sat up and rubbed his neck, it hurt to touch it and the skin was so raw that it bled on contact, but it felt so incredibly good at the same time. A shakey chuckle escaped his lips, he couldn't believe it was off at last, he picked up the collar to look at it for a moment, then threw it as far as he could into the forest.
"T-thank you," he said, joyous tears leaking from his eyes, "thank you so much."
L: "Ja, no problem," TU said. He held up his hands in alarm when he noticed 39-whatever other number, was tearing up. He wasn't good with people crying so he joked, "You look like you've never tasted freedom before. Who put that thing on you? And where did you come from?"
He stood up and held out his hand to help the countryhuman. Dumping all these questions on him probably wasn't the healthiest move but TU needed as much information as possible to decide on his next move. He wondered if Poland or Mandara knew who this person was. Or, god forbid, had something to do with this.
M: 3948 took his hand and stood up, he was still a little shaky since he was weakened, but he toughed it out as best he could.
"I don't know, exactly at least," he admitted, "some humans who created me, don't know why though. They always mentioned two names, two people who they made me from, Mandoria and Prussia I think, I don't know who they are though."
A loud crash came as thunder started sounding off, which made 3948 jump and hide behind TU, whimpering in fear.
"C-can we go somewhere else, please," he fretted, "that sounded like a gunshot, I thought I killed everyone before I escaped, but maybe I missed a few and they're coming for me, I don't want to go back."
L: Killed everyone?? TU instantly viewed this supposedly timid and tired man as a bomb about to explode and was much warier of his presence hiding behind him.
What's more, were the names he had mentioned. To be fair, TU barely remembered anything about Mandoria. But Prussia? Prussia struck a very loud bell. Black and white stripe pattern. Red shield probably for Mandoria, if he remembered correctly. The design of his flag was starting to make sense.
Iremacht will want to know about this, TU thought."Alright, in the car," he ordered, practically dragging 3948 - gosh, this guy needed a better name, think TU, think. "We're getting the hell out of here. I'm not about to be mobbed. You're going in the back seat since you've got some pretty big wings there. And while we're at it ..." TU gave the man a hard look. "I think you should explain who the hell is chasing you and who you, well, disposed of."
M: "I don't know, just humans that created me," 3948 whined, "I was kept inside this large water tank most of my life, only let out so they could test on me."
He went quiet so they could get in the car and start driving away, 3948 kept looking back to make sure they weren't followed and would flinch in fear at the sound of thunder. After they drove for a while and he calmed down a bit he continued to explain.
"I learned a long time ago to be very good a pretending, to fake being hurt or healthy, or to be asleep or awake, that's how I escaped from my tank, I pretended to be asleep and then busted out of the restraints and glass. I was scared, but also incredibly angry, I wanted every single human in that place to feel the pain I went through, and to make sure they wouldn't ever hurt anyone else."
Another thunderstrike rang out and a flash of lightning shone through the car, causing 3948 to scream and cower under his good wing, "what is that noise, it doesn't sound like gunshots anymore, but it's so loud, is it an explosion?"
L: "You mean thunder?" said TU. Judging by the countryhuman's reaction, he was telling the truth about being kept in a tank his whole life. That was horrible. And being tested on like a lab rat would make TU murder those responsible too.
"Thunder is the sound those flashes called lightning make in the sky," he explained, hoping to calm him down because that scream nearly made TU swerve. "Lightning occurs when there's a storm, which might be coming anytime now. Storm brings rain. Um, water falls from the sky." He didn't know how else to say it.
"Anyway, I'm currently heading through Poland to Germany, my home country. It's safer there, and you'll get to know my cousin Iremacht. He's got more history with Prussia, one of the names you mentioned. He'll help you out."
Honestly, I have no idea what Iremacht will do, TU thought. He was aware of what the USB in his belt pouch contained. He just didn't expect a human test of a countryhuman to show up basically at his doorstep right after he'd downloaded the data for a similar test happening in Russia. That was what he needed to deliver to Iremacht. Advanced genetic information like that was vital.
He glanced at 3948 through his rearview mirror. A living specimen though? This was a much bigger prize.
M: 3948 breathed out when it was explained, relaxing a little now that he knew it was normal. Not knowing what to do, the country looked around the interior of the car and was able to find a medkit and a sweater, so he did his best to wrap up his injuries and then put the sweater on. Having something covering him and not just walking around in his underwear made him feel much more comfortable, even if his wings made it bunch up at the bottom it was better than nothing.
The country was quiet for most of the drive, just staring out the window and watching all the different colors go by. He then suddenly said, "Poland and Germany, I think I heard those names too, I don't remember much, but I think they wanted me to kill them, or at least make them submit, there was a lot of talk about a King Wing and taking down countryhumans, whatever those are. I didn't really care for any of that, they haven't hurt me, so why would I want to kill them?"
L: Holy shit. TU's eyes widened as he stared straight ahead at the road. That was some real intel there. A plot to subdue, potentially even assassinate, Poland and Germany? Taking down countryhumans? And the term King Wing which TU definitely heard Iremacht explain once but because he had the attention span of a squirrel, literally didn't retain a single piece of knowledge?
"Okay, we definitely need to get you to Machty. You need to tell him everything. The stuff you heard has very bad consequences on the world if those humans succeed." And hopefully, TU thought to himself, cousin figures out what to do with this guy because from what I hear, he's the murder weapon.
"Sorry about the lack of spare clothes. Keep that wing of yours stable, we don't want it to get worse." Also, wings were probably important to the whole King Wing thing.
TU was careful to take back roads and honestly unofficial pathways as they traveled across Poland. The last thing he wanted was for the Polish government to find out he was transporting someone related to Prussia. He didn't want to make any stops either, so he would have to drive through the night.
"Anywho," TU said, trying to make conversation. "What was life like in wherever you came from, 3948 - you know what, how about we give you a new name so I don't sound like a freaking squint? You said they created you from Mandoria and Prussia right?" He hummed. "Mandia? Manssia? Prudoria?"
M: 3948 was halfway dozing off at that point so he wasn't paying much attention, though when he heard that last name he opened an eye, "I like that last one, no one ever gave me a name, they said it wasn't necessary yet, that when I was perfect then I would get a name."
He yawned a bit then continued, "I don't remember, I taught myself how to forget things I don't want to remember at will, not that it made a difference since I was sleeping most of my life anyway. For some reason, I could never forget how hungry I always was, they usually just injected me with something that would keep me from feeling hungry, but when they ran out of it all I got was a weird slop from my oxygen mask, it tasted terrible."
He yawned again and could barely keep his eyes open, but he seemed reluctant to go to sleep, eventually he couldn't stay awake anymore and finally fell asleep, softly snoring.
