Roleplay Day 7 part 2
(I had to break this into two chapters)
K: Ukraine helped UPA back inside, the two headed towards the small room he had been in before. Once there, UPA sat down and picked up his prosthetic, about to put it on when he was stopped.
"I know you usually only take it off when it's bothering you, let me see," Ukraine said as he sat on the coffee table in front of the entity. UPA simply nodding before pulling his shorts up further to reveal his stump, taking off the sock and setting it down on the couch beside him.
"I think I was standing and walking for too long, it's been rubbing at me." He said as he watched the Ukrainian pull out a small roll of gauze before starting to wrap it up
"Hopefully that will prevent it from rubbing as much, but you need to give yourself more breaks. I know you don't like to admit it but you're not in the same shape as you were in before, you can't push yourself that hard anymore."
M: Mandara and MA were able to find a medkit and they went to one of the many sitting rooms to treat Mandara's wing, with Poland joining them as well. Since there were no external injuries, MA focused on wrapping the wing so it was strapped to Mandara's back and it wouldn't drag on the floor. Mandara sat down on a couch sideways so MA had better access to his wing. The country winced the second MA touched his wing and his other one flapped in reflex. MA retracted his hand,
"Sorry Trigger, are you ok?" Mandara shook his head in response, MA sighed and looked to Poland for help. He nodded and sat down next to Mandara and just held him close, comforting him as best he could while MA wrapped the wing.
K: Ukraine finished before getting up, moving around to the back of the couch to have a look at UPA's wing, he couldn't help but notice how it dragged on the floor when they were walking.
"What exactly happened?" He asked as he started to gently feel the wing along the bone and shoulder of it. UPA explained what happened, occasionally winching from his country's touch.
"I think you're just bruised pretty badly," Ukraine said as he started to run his fingers through the jet black plumage, plucking out damaged or loose feathers, something he often helped UPA with. The two sat in silence for a while, just enjoying the moment before Ukraine broke the silence,
"oh! I almost forgot to mention, your brother's on his way, decided to come after he got a feeling that you were hurt."
UPA looked over his shoulder at the country with a surprised look "Wait, he's actually leaving home?" He asked since OUN wasn't one to leave home and the surrounding area.
"Well, he's worried about you."
M: It took a good while for MA to finish wrapping Mandara's wing, and the poor country ended up falling asleep from the pain robbing him of energy.
"We should probably get him to bed." MA said, referring to the guest rooms in the WATCH building that many of the countries were staying in, including the Mandarians. Poland nodded in agreement and helped MA carry Mandara to their room, being extra careful not to wake him as they did. Once the two got Mandara situated, they both decided to try and find the Ukrainians to check on UPA.
K: The two had continued to chat and soon enough Ukraine was finished plucking and grooming the militant's wings.
"Do you see a garbage can or a bag around?" He asked as he started to pick up the feathers that were scattered across the floor behind the couch.
UPA looked around before shaking his head, "no, unless it's on the other side of the room where you are." He said before deciding it was time to put his prosthetic back on, his wing feeling a bit better already.
M: MA and Poland wandered around the WATCH building looking for the Ukrainians, but weren't having much luck. They tried to do a wing sweep to find UPA, but because neither of them were that familiar with UPA's vibrations so they couldn't distinguish him from the other winged countries there, so they had to resort to asking around. Unfortunately, everyone they had asked said that they haven't seen UPA or Ukraine.
"Is there any place we haven't checked?" MA asked Poland, who just shrugged his shoulders as he didn't know, and little did they realize, but they were actually standing right outside the room the Ukrainians were in.
K: Ukraine has no luck finding what he was looking for so instead he decided to just go to one of the garbage cans in the main room.
"I'll be back, I need to find a place to put these." He said to UPA, his arms full of a decent amount of feathers as he used his foot to open the door.
M: MA and Poland both jumped as the door behind them opened, they backed up to let whoever was coming out pass them, and were surprised to see Ukraine walk out.
"Oh, there you are Ukraine, we were looking for you." MA said, he noticed from the corner of his eye Poland tense up a bit, but he just brushed it off. He then noticed the large amount of feathers that Ukraine was carrying and raised a brow in confusion, "Um ... do you need any help?"
K: Ukraine looked at the two with wide eyes as he straightened up slightly and gave them a small smile.
"Oh, why's that?" He asked as he walked over to a garbage can as he shook his head, "thank you but I'm all good." He added as he shoved the feathers into it before walking back to the two of them.
M: Poland remained quiet and tried to avoid eye contact with Ukraine, which MA again found odd but focused on Ukraine for now,
"Well, we just got done fixing up Trigger and wanted to check on UPA, we figured it was the least we could do as a thanks, not to mention I'm guessing he would like to know how Trigger is doing."
K: Ukraine's eyes drifted to Poland for a split second before he turned his attention back to MA as he gave a small nod.
"He's doing better now, but you can come ask him for yourself." He said with a wave of his hand for them to follow as he walked into the room. He was unsure as to why Poland had come, after all their history wasn't the best with one another.
M: MA and Poland followed Ukraine in the room, with Poland staying behind MA. They both stopped when they spotted UPA on the couch, "Hey there soldier," MA greeted "we came to see how you're doing." MA then stepped to the side so Poland wasn't behind him,
"Yeah, we thought it was the least we could do since you saved Mandy," he added, he was still wary of Ukraine but he hid it as best he could.
K: UPA looked over at them, having a slight wave when he first saw them before getting up off the couch, slightly shifting his weight from leg to leg for a moment.
"I'm better now, just bruised, how is Mandara doing?" He asked, managing to hold his wing up a bit better now.
M: "He's good," MA said, "I wrapped up his wing so it wouldn't drag on the floor and he just fell asleep from exhaustion, so we took him up to our room."
Poland nodded as MA spoke, then he piped up, "I do have a question though, why were you and Mandy together in the first place, I have never seen you near him before." MA looked at Poland and then back at UPA, he was also curious since he also has never seen the two together.
K: "That's good to hear." He said with a small relieved sigh before continuing to answer their question.
"Well earlier I was just getting some food on my own and we started talking, I think I may have crossed some kind of line at some point since he decided to go outside. I was then in here having a break when I saw him out there flying and asked if I could join since I haven't flown with anyone for a while." He explained as Ukraine took a seat on one of the two couches.
M: MA and Poland exchanged glances when UPA said he crossed a line, they both knew how sensitive Mandara was so they were slightly concerned about what UPA might have done. They turned back to UPA, "What did you do to make Trigger upset?" MA asked as the two also sat down.
K: "Well he said that he missed flying and I basically asked if he didn't fly much." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck and frowned, looking down slightly "I didn't know I was crossing a line till I said that."
M: MA and Poland exchanged glances again but quickly turned back to UPA and Ukraine. "I see," MA said, "Well, in a way, I am quite impressed. Us and Kazakhstan have been trying to get him to fly for a long time with no luck, so even though he won't be able to again for a while, it is good to know that he did, so I again thank you."
"I do too." Poland said, "Mandy has been through a lot in his life so it's nice to know he was happy."
