Everything Goes Wrong

"Kurt, just pick something please." Mercedes begged over Skype. Kurt's computer was resting on the bed, what seemed like hundreds of shirts spread around his room. Kurt was in his closest, tearing it apart, trying to find the perfect outfit for his date.

"Cedes I don't think you get it." Kurt called holding up two shirts in the mirror. "This is my first date, ever. And it's with a professional MMA fighter. I need to look like- well the best I've ever looked!" Kurt groaned throwing the shirts to the ground, digging through his closet once again.

Mercedes gave a groan as she saw her best friend dig through, his endless wardrobe. "What about that Alexander McQueen button up, with the black bow tie with the little chain." She said, biting her lip, as she looked at the helpless boy.

Kurt's small body perked up looking to his computer. "Why on earth did you not tell me sooner! That's perfect!" He called as he rifled through pulling out the accessories to pull it together.

"Your impossible, you know." Mercedes called putting her head in her hand. Kurt grinned over a shy grin to her. "I know." He walked of frame putting it together. "What would I even say to him Cedes?"

"Normal small talk?" Mercedes replied, as Kurt got his sinfully tight skinny jeans on. "I don't want to bore him with glee club, and bullies at Mckingly." He grumbled, looking into the mirror straightening out non-existence wrinkles.

"Kurt. He's not going to be bored with you. If he truly likes you, he'll love and laugh at whatever you talk about. He'll make subtle moves to touch your arm or even hold your hand. He'll comment on how amazing you look, and how beautiful you really are. You'll see in his stare, how much he cares." Mercedes declared looking at Kurt, fixing his bow tie. He froze in his moves looking at himself in the mirror.

"When did you become an expert on love." He scoffed looking over to her. "Since I've watched a million rom-coms with you." She smiled teasingly. Kurt laughed out and rolled his eyes fixing his hair. The doorbell rang out as Kurt's breathe caught in his throat.

"That's him, wish me luck." Kurt smiled as he leaned to the computer. "Good lucky, love you." Mercedes smiled. Kurt gave a eccentric smooth to her as he ending closing his computer. "I got it!" He called to Finn as he laced up with boots.

He made his way downstairs with all he needed ,looking at Finn talking to Blaine. "Did you not hear me yell, I got it." Kurt scoffed a bit annoyed.

"Sorry I was down here, didn't hear." Finn replied looking over at his brother.

"Hey Kurt." Blaine smiled his jaw dropping smile to him. "You look... wow, I mean beautiful- handsome! God sorry, shall we go?" Blaine grinned bashfully.

Kurt smiled widely, a blush already creeping on his cheeks. "We shall." He smiled he he walked out with Blaine, he called him pretty, check on Mercedes list.

"Bye you crazy kids!" Finn called out waving to them. Kurt ignored as he quickly ushered into Blaine's car. Blaine gave a laugh getting in the drivers side.

Finn laughed, as he got his phone. "God Puck's gonna love to hear this." He laughed as he was texting his friend about the flustered fighter.

Blaine drove Kurt, the two sat in an awkward silence. What to do, what to say? They've talked before, but only as friend. Now it was different, considered as romantic interests.

"So, um how was school today?" Blaine asked glancing over to Kurt in the passenger seat.

"It was good, same as always. I got a hundred on my French essay. Mr. Shue accidentally drew a penis on the board as he attempted to explain a Beatles song." Kurt said looking over to the older man.

Blaine laughed, the kind of laugh when the corner of his eyes crinkle, as so does the corner of his mouth. "How the hell does that happen?"

"He was explained the set up of the band, during this performance of Hey Jude, 'there's a circle there, and one there, then you've got the runway, so they could jam out into the crowd.'." Kurt laughed as he remembered the hysterical evident.

Blaine kept laughing, which made Kurt laugh as well. They both checked off 'has an amazing laugh' off there list.

"That's gotta be the best thing I heard all day." Blaine smiled, his eyes glued on the road. He wasn't really talking about Kurt's story, although it was funny, he loved hearing his laugh. Not as high pitched as he thought, melodious in his ears. He wanted to hear it all the time.

"Glad I could make your day." Kurt laughed smiling softly, as he saw the fancy restaurant they pulled up in. Kurt gulped internally, the place looked expensive, he would probably only be able to afford the complimentary water.

Blaine and Kurt, got out of the car, walking together. "I know this place is a bit fancy, but I like it, no one really recognizes me." Blaine smiled.

Kurt nodded thankful for how he dressed, he looked to Blaine, fully looking over his outfit. A white button up, that fit tightly around his muscles. Navy dress pants to go along with it, as well as brown shoes and a belt, with a navy blazer to match. He was clearly dressed to impress. Kurt defiantly appreciated this.

They walked in, as Blaine ordered a table for two. The hostess seemed to know Blaine, smiling once he stepped in, and led them to a table.

Blaine pulled out Kurt's chair, and Kurt blushed sitting down, pulling himself in as Kurt took his own seat. "So how's Quinn?" Blaine asked as he picked up a menu, looking it over.

Kurt mirrored the action himself, looking over to Blaine. "She's good, happier than ever with Puck. Beth is good too. She can't understand it, but she's is a very happy baby."

"You're helping with the wedding right?" Blaine asked meeting Kurt's eyes.

"More like planning it." Kurt laughed looking at Blaine. "I mean trust me I don't mind, I planed my dads and Step moms, it's like a dream. I'm the kid that has a folder of every kind of wedding you could imagine. All thanks to vogue."

"Really? So you basically have hers done and planned huh?" Blaine smiled softly to him.

"Almost, I got to make a couple calls and all, but that can wait for another day you know." Kurt smiled back.

"Do you have yours planned out?" Blaine smiled.

Kurt gulped, talking about his wedding on the first date, I mean a bit strange but let's see where this goes. "Y-yeah, I mean I have my dream wedding I'd like. But you know I don't know... things can change." Kurt replied to him.

Blaine nodded looking through the menu. "Mm, you seem like the person who'd already have it booked." He laughed smiling as he looked through the menu.

"Well I'd want the person I'm going to marry have a say too, it's why mine is so... undeveloped. I know Quinn's and Pucks, by what they like and the way they act. It's common sense I suppose." Kurt described.

Blaine nodded along, as his eyes racked through the menu. Kurt's as well. "I see, that makes sense. So if it was me, I'd want roses, red and yellow."

"So would I." Kurt replied looking up.

Blaine looked up meeting the blue eyed boy. "See, one step closer."

Kurt felt a blush, did Blaine wanna marry him one day? His heart flutter as it did making him smile, he felt all giddy inside, he loved where this was going so far. "Yeah? Why, you who I'm gonna marry?" Kurt teased, a blush couldn't help but appear.

"Who knows, maybe one day." Blaine laughed, grinning teasingly to Kurt. Kurt smiled and blushed harder looking down, feeling he tips of his ear pink. "Maybe... it's only the first date, and I'd have to see the ring first." Kurt laughed, trying to control the blush spreading around his cheeks.

Blaine smiled more to him, he decided his next favorite thing about Kurt was his blush.

The waiter came, and took their orders. Kurt got a salad, as well as Blaine, along with a pasta dish to share. They talked more, about family stories and secrets, about school and the people there, they also talked more about the future; not just marriage but jobs. Kurt described how'd he want to be on Broadway, or design clothes for a show. Blaine smiled at the sparkle in his eyes, the passion he had when he talked about his dream, it made him smile, the crinkle up type smile.

They barley ate, with how much they talked. Blaine told his fight stories, witch made Kurt cringe at the thought, but paid close attention.

"-he was so close to me! He had what we're like brass knuckles gloves on, as he swung-" Blaine was in the mist of the story, what was a perfect fist balled up ready to hit him. Kurt leaned over and held his hand before it he could even pretend to land it. Blaine looked at Kurt, concern was sparkling brightly through his big blue eyes. "Sorry... guess the nerves kicked in." He replied, smiling awkwardly.

Blaine smiled softly to him, as I balled his fist, lacing his fingers with Kurt's. "Better for you?"

Kurt blush reached to his chest, gulping, his hand tingled; looking at how his smaller hand fit perfectly with Blaine's bigger one. "Much." He relaxed sitting back down. There hands stayed locked tightly for the rest of the dinner.

They did the check dance, Blaine insisted he paid, while Kurt said how he couldn't for such an expensive meal. In the end Blaine won, sticking his debit card in.

It's when Kurt realized, there was defiantly a major age difference- he well knew about it. That was the first time he really saw it. A seven year age difference. He knew worst, Mercedes parents had a ten year age difference, but he loved them together. Legally they shouldn't even be going out. But his heart took over his body, common sense was pushed way out of the way. This was the first time Kurt Hummel listened to his heart, and it was the best decision he'd ever make.

They split a piece of cheesecake, Blaine remembered how Kurt said it was his favorite. That bumped Blaine up, majorly on his list. They ate and talked more, Blaine would occasionally feed Kurt playfully, reminding him he had time to breathe, as he ranted on with a story. He simply rolled his eyes and blushed, which he was sure reached all the way to his stomach.

They finally walked out, "There are little shops around here, there not open, but it's nice to see the lights on and all." Blaine smiled to Kurt.

Kurt nodded, "yeah, let's." He smiled as he made there way to the abandoned shops, lit up with decorative lights. The two walked around, Kurt crossed his arm, rubbing his hands up and down his arms to warm himself.

Blaine took noticed, and took off his blazer off himself, draping it on Kurt's shoulders. Kurt looked up, and smiled. He normally would say how it doesn't match and his outfit was perfect without it, but it smelled of Blaine and he really liked the warmth. "Thanks." Kurt smiled softly, the blush still persistent on him.

Blaine nodded taking his hand, walking with him. "Aren't you cold?" Kurt asked looking up to the fighter.

"A bit, but I'm ok. You needed it more." Blaine smiled.

Another point for Blaine, on Kurt's list. They walked and talked, making there way to a park settling at a gazebo. There conversation grew quiet, and their bodies pressed closer together, in warmth and the sense of attraction.

In a moment they were leaning into each other, before he knew it, Blaine's lips were pressed against his, Kurt knew his blush reached to his toes. He decided kissing Blaine was his new favorite thing.

They saw a flash, making Blaine part from the kiss, Kurt took in a breath obviously wanting more from how his lips pouted.

Blaine looked over and groaned, "paparazzi, they found us." He mumbled.

That's when everything went wrong.
