Is it possible to feel extremely excited as well as scared? When on the contrary I should feel nothing. I mean why should I be concerned about that stranger's reply to my message? It's not like I know him or something. But still somehow as I am driving my way to the office, I feel scared about his reaction as well as reaction. It has always been difficult for me to handle such kind of situations considering what Aakash had said about him.

Still thinking about his reaction, I reached my office and parked my car. I headed towards my cabin with fast steps. As soon as, I opened the door I again found a box waiting for me. I opened the box hastily and started reading the note.

Firstly I must tell you that it feels great to hear from you. Secondly, Welcome for the wishes and you can accept the gift as I am not just a stranger. I would really like to see that watch shinning on your wrist.

A broad smile made its way to my face after reading the note. I don't know what this man wants from me but I think this would definitely be worth it. This note created a sense of excitement within me which is normally found at the start of the relationships. This person completely intrigued me. I guess now as we are talking, maybe I can know about this person more. Shaking my head with a smile, I kept the note in my drawer and started working on the work assigned to me as I had to submit a report to my in charge and yesterday's lady in black - Mrs Sakshi Saran. She really has a problem of split personality I guess because one can never know when this witch can turn into an angel and vice - versa. But I really don't blame her cause being the head of the marketing department was not an easy task. She had to deal and align the work of many other departments on her own.

By lunchtime, I had completed my work and I found myself sitting in front of my charge who was in a deep discussion regarding some issue with the head of the Production department - Mr Rithik Sharma.

"Ma'am if you want I can come later ?" I asked and she instructed me to meet her after lunchtime to which I stiffly replied with a nod. I got up from the chair and headed towards the canteen to have lunch. During the entire lunch, we kept bickering about our bosses when Anvi asked, " Did you get any reply from that man and what about that watch ?"

" I did and I am keeping the watch " I shrugged while all of three looked at me with an amused expression.

" Oh I am already liking this guy " Aditi exclaimed and all of us chuckled.

" But how did he convince you to keep the watch? What was written in that note" Aakash asked with a twinkle in his eyes.

" Nothing special," I said with a blank expression and sipped some water to keep my face straight.

" Oh really," Aakash said and smirked at me as if reading through my entire act. Coughing slightly, We started discussing on some other topic making me heave a sigh of relief internally.

After lunch time was over, they all got back to their work and I made my way towards Sakshi's cabin. I knocked on the door and entered it only after hearing a" come in". I entered her cabin and gasped internally seeing the person sitting in front of Sakshi. He was none other than the head of the finance department - Mr Dev Malhotra. As soon as my eyes met his, his expression hardened making me look away immediately.

" Okay, Sakshi! I will see you later then " He said in a husky voice and I kept looking here and there whereas Sakshi nodded at him with a smile. As he got up, I immediately moved away from his way and Sakshi gestured me to take a seat. I grabbed a chair and started explaining to her the important things in the report.

After discussing the report with her, she pointed out some faults but nevertheless gave me permission to leave early when she learned that yesterday I was there in the restaurants to celebrate my birthday.

Told you! That lady is extremely unpredictable .....

I got back to my cabin and tidied my desk before grabbing a white paper to write a note to that so-called stranger.

Don't you think, It will be better if I know who this well-wisher is? I know we work in the same company so your name wouldn't hurt.

Smiling at the note, I folded and kept it neatly in the box with a wide smile on my face. Yes, a wide smile but the reason for that was unknown to me. With that, I left for home.

Next day

I was lost in my thoughts when a knock disrupted it.

" Hi " Aditi greeted as she entered the cabin.

"Hi! How come you are early in my cabin? " I mocked making her roll her eyes at me.

" Actually I need help from y-" She trailed off but stopped in between when she saw the box beside my hand.

" Did you got any reply ?" She asked excitedly making my heave an exasperated sigh.

" Yes," I said and opened the box, I gave her the note.

When something is important enough, you do it even if the odds are not in your favour.

To answer your question. I know it won't hurt and it is better that you know me but it will be best if you don't. Look around properly! Maybe someday you will find me.

Remembering the note, I rubbed my forehead thinking how I landed myself into this. I saw a face splitting grin emerging on Aditi's face as she read the whole note making me feel somewhat uncomfortable.

" OH MY GOD !! Is he for real ?" Aditi asked enthusiastically making me roll my eyes at her.

" Oh please! I don't understand why is he playing this hide and seek game," I said with a frown.

" OH God! This girl. Can't you understand Meghna? " Aditi asked and I looked at her with clueless expression making her slap her forehead.

" Meghna Read the quote," She said and passed me the note.

" I read the note thrice " I stated and she muttered something like " this girl is so dense".

"Hey. I am not dense " I chastised immediately and she let out a chuckle.

" Then can't you understand that he wants you to look for him if you think he is important enough in your life. He is leaving the ball in your court Meghna " She said making me understand the whole thing.

" He is a Goodman. " She stated and I ran my hands on my face realizing how complicated this man is when Aditi immediately caught my hand

"HEY! Is it the same watch that he had gifted you ?" Aditi asked with exuberance making me give out a shy smile to her.

"SO CUTE! " She exclaimed and pinched my cheeks.

"Anyways, tell me what help do you want? I asked Aditi, making an attempt to divert the topic of discussion.

" OH YES YES! Actually, the thing is that asshole has given me shit loads of work and today I have to leave early as it is my cousin's birthday so will you check and submit this report to my manager " She asked me with pleading eyes making me laughingly nod at her.

" Thank you thank you " She chanted and I just smiled at her and she raced out my cabin making me laugh again. But then I realized the mess I landed myself in.
