5.)Anything but limbo.
After a few hours, my head finally finished sorting what's what. I still didn't know who else's memories I had, and Oli hadn't left me alone since I'd woken up. Madi had to push him out of the room, just so I could change and take a nap. Who knew false comas could make someone so tired?
"Hey Madi, do you think Sky's going to get better? I mean, we did put her back in time. But will she recover?" I heard from the next room over, the kitchen, and a coffee cup was placed on a counter as someone leaded on one of the pantry doors.
"Oli, I have no idea, but it's Sky we're talking about, she always has been one to suck it up," Madi's voice sounded reassuring, with a kiss sound from the other room and a " I love you" thrown around, I finally fell into a deep sleep. Little did I know, this sleep was one I wouldn't be waking up from soon...
Pov- Maddie
I came to check in on Sky, but she was fast asleep, her forehead was sweaty as she tossed and turned. But what I didn't know was she was having a nightmare, and it was all my fault.
Oli came from behind me, his chin resting on my shoulder, as his hands snaked around my stomach.
"How are you feeling?" His asked.
I smiled and answered. "Much better now that she's back. I just hope that she stays alright,"
"Me too," He replied, letting go. "It's almost dinner time, what would you like?" He walked away and stood at the door frame waiting for a answer. The cool air hit my stomach, the part he had been covering with his arms.
"Sky's favorite, please,"
"Three pizzas, three glasses of sparkling water and chocolate chunk cookies coming up," He beamed as he trotted towards the kitchen.
I kneeled down next to Sky's bed. She had a blue-gray bed spread, and the walls were pink. It was the total opposite of her but she enjoyed the time she spent with us.
I slowly moved the sweaty hair off her face and neck.
"Hey Sky, hunny? Want some food? Oli's getting pizza. If your lucky you can see him talk like Luigi... how about it Sky?"
She mouthed something that made the hairs on my neck stand up straight. I quickly leaped off of her bed, stumbling towards her door in a panic.
I tripped out of the room as fast I could, and got Oli's attention. My body shook at the thought of my old master.
"What's wrong Madi?" He frowned placing a batch of fresh cookies into the oven. He wiped the white power off his hands with a clean wet rag and took off his homemade apron. I heard my room mates and friends yelling in the next room over, unaware of everything that was happening.
Oli quickly walked up to me and grabbed my right hand, two of his fingers checks my pulse.
"Madi, what's wrong?" He speaks more forcefully this time making me take a step back, which only scares him more. "Is it Sky?" He brushed past me, and entered Sky's room. I wobble behind him, loosely pressing against the wall to make sure I don't fall. The open door comes into view, with Oli at the side of sky's bed.
"Fever, shakes, what in the world...?" He whispers. But then regrets it when he hears the soft mumble. The tiny voice, and a small cry that almost shoves me to the ground with the magnitude of the accusation.
"Bill..."
