4) Ollie's Interlude
Sky's POV
•———————•
"Please...Oh, hurry up, you can't be stuck! Please!"
I felt someone shaking my shoulders roughly, and my body was slightly limp. It took more effort than it should to regain my sense of self, and look at the two figures in front of me. My senses were intensely heightened, and I was glad the room wasn't incredibly bright. A woman with brown hair and pair shaped body sat to my right, her freakishly long brown hair flowing over my small arms and torso. Her hazily brown eyes gazed, terrified, at my childish face. To my right sat the person who was shaking my shoulders, a man with his curly blonde hair pulled into a ponytail, his nose and cheekbones covered in dark freckles. His pair of blue eyes was staring into mine, and he looked like he was going to cry.
I sat up, my body feeling heavy, and was immediately yanked into a hug.
"Hurry up next time!" It was the woman who hugged me, and I wrapped my arms around her neck, confused. Who were these people again? They seemed so familiar... She was hiding me so tight I though I'd pop, before letting me go and saying, "What were you doing?! Seriously, did you get distracted or what?!"
"I...my uncle did something really stupid and Momma... Auntie Pacifica, Madi... they were upset," I said, trying to remember what happened. The man glanced at the woman worriedly, and he scooted over until he was sitting directly in front me.
"Sky—" his voice sounded very concerned, and his brows creased.
"How do you know my name?" I asked, shocked and suddenly scared. He ignored my question, but looked even more worried.
"Sky, I would like you to think for a second. What are our names?" He said. He laced his fingers together, and his hands shook and twitched nervously. The woman behind him looked at me inquisitively, fearful.
My brain went into over drive, thinking of all the people I knew. Strangely, I could only find a few... my mother, my uncle, and this girl named Madi... I tried to get a mental image of her first, and it felt like I'd just make a crack in the thing that was holding me from whatever I was forgetting. I began to think of what she was like. Another crack. How did I even know her? Memories began to flood back and my eyes widened. Memories of my life came right back, but.. some of them didn't seem like mine at the same time. Everything I forgot was in my mind, even what had happened when I gave the younger girls a warning. But why would I forget in the first place? And whose memories did I have? Why did I have them?
I pointed to the blonde man, "You're Ollie...," He gave me relieved smile.
I pointed at the woman,
"Madi...,"
