#After a few months#

*Abhilash Pov*

"Mihi!" I whispered waking her up but she groaned and turned to sleep with her back towards me and I stood up sighing.

"You need to wake up, Mihi. We need to go on a trip today within an hour." I pointed out but she covered her ears to block my voice.

I already informed our friends to be at this place after two hours when she didn't pick my calls and when I called Aunty she informed me that Mihi is not at all waking up.

"Fine!" I mumbled laying down beside her before holding her in my arms.

"What are you doing?" she mumbled with a sleepy tone.

"You are not waking up and I will just be here and let's skip the trip." I explained and she turned around in my arms to frown at me.

"It's not good to skip the trip." She whispered and I sighed brushing away hair strands from her face.

"We already postponed the trip as you had something to do yesterday and even hid what it is near us. It is not good to keep them waiting, right? I already asked them to wait an hour more than the scheduled one." I pointed out and she sighed leaning closer to me before closing her eyes.

"I am tired, Abhi. I have been studying for a whole week without taking a break and even yesterday I had to write such a long exam." She mumbled pressing herself to my body.

"Are you ready to tell me what exam you took yesterday?" I asked rubbing her back and she sighed shaking her head.

"That is my secret and I will tell you after the trip as by then I will get results." She replied and I nodded while she drifted off into sleep again.

After some time I shifted to check the time and found her bag which she didn't even pack this time. I took out a few clothes I remember she wore during our last trip that is two years back.

"Do you want to travel without even taking a bath?" I asked returning from the washroom after filling the bucket with warm water.

"I want to go but I don't want to get up." She mumbled groaning while looking at me with those sad eyes.

"If you get ready, I will take you to the vehicle and you can sleep until we reach the resorts." I promised her while helping her to sit up and she finally did after hearing my words.

After she got ready, I took her bag and took hold of her hand before climbing down the stairs and found her parents finishing their breakfast.

"Take care of her, Abhi." Aunty said and I nodded at them and even assured them to not worry.

"I will take care of him, Aunty." She commented when we found Mom walking out of my house after seeing the vehicle.

"Thank you, Mihi!" Mom said smiling at her while I shook my head before helping her to sit inside the vehicle beside Rekha as Vikesh and she swapped places, unlike that time.

"She is still sleepy?" Rekha asked while helping her as she is literally moving like she doesn't know how to move.

"Yeah! Let her sleep for now and don't disturb her." I mumbled sitting beside her.

"What is the exam you took yesterday, Mihi? Will you tell us now?" Vikesh asked ignoring my words.

"Let her sleep!" I mumbled shifting her a bit so that she can place her head on my shoulder while holding her with my other hand.

"Yeah! Maybe then the result from last time will not reach us again. Let's not have any breakups, okay?" Kalyan asked looking at Rakesh and Kavitha who are as usual showing their couple moments.

"I am warning you both along with them." Kalyan added hitting my shoulder.

"We are just friends. What breakup are you talking about? Right, Mihi?" I asked smiling at her and she nodded without opening her eyes.

"Right! It's that's true then we are actually going for a study session instead of to enjoy a trip." Vikesh mumbled and we all chuckled at those words but she peacefully drifted off into sleep.

Even though we decided to come to the same place like last time, the mood is definitely different as we all stayed together and everyone is closer than before.

"I can't believe we don't have anything to study now and have to start working." Vikesh mumbled sighing.

"It will be boring for us without you guys." Kavitha mumbled.

"Yeah! We need to go to college for one year and just spend it with each other." Mihi said nodding at Kavitha.

"We are already upset that we will not be able to go to college from now on and you are showing off in front of us." Vikesh complained.

"You can continue to study like Rekha and Kalyan decided to." But he shook his head at those words.

"I somehow ended up with a job offer and that's enough for me." He mumbled while I leaned back to stare at them.

Dad asked me whether I want to study further but I got a good offer somehow and I don't have any interest to go for further studies too.

"You are going to be so busy within two months." Mihi mumbled glancing at me and I smiled at her.

"Will we get distanced like these both did if we stop going to college together?" Rakesh asked looking at Kavitha frowning.

I remember those three years when we were distant from each other and I just blamed on the separate college and different timings when I could have been closer to her even during that time if I had tried.

"If you don't want to then you will not." Mihi assured them and I shifted my hands around her waist as she is sitting beside me before leaning over her while she patted my head.

"The two couples are making me regret not getting a girlfriend." Vikesh mumbled.

"Our time got spent while worrying about these people only. When would we have been able to maintain a relationship for ourselves?" Kalyan joined.

"You are not similar to me as you both at least liked someone." Vikesh shook his head.

"That's your fault for being curious about our lives instead of being curious about your feelings." Mihi commented shrugging making him glare at her while we chuckled before changing the topic.

We are glad for deciding to have a trip for ten days as a part of us graduating too and enjoyed every single moment of it washing away the previous moments.

When it was time for us to leave, Mihi got a call and asked us to wait for sometime before going away from us to take the call.

"Seriously, if you both are not a couple then I don't think I will ever be in a relationship. Which kind of friends will be this touchy?" Vikesh mumbled the moment she is out of the hearing space.

"Do you think he doesn't know? If he doesn't follow her words and just use the tag friends then she would have kept on worrying and would have even stayed away from him. He knows what he is doing and just think about your life." Rekha mumbled shaking her head.

"Why is everyone bullying me like this?" he asked looking at others but we completely ignored his complaint.

"Do you guys want to stop at my place once after returning?" Mihi asked returning to us.

"What happened?" I asked but she shook her head before looking at others and they all nodded.

"So, you have been preparing for this entrance test which you attended before the trip and you got selected." Vikesh said after she explained everything and she nodded clearing her throat.

"You have to do online courses for now until you graduate and then go for practical training to that country?" Rekha asked and she slowly nodded before glancing at me while I just stared at her.

"That Swapnil Sir! How can he make you leave us like this when we helped him so much?" Vikesh asked frowning as she told us it was Sir's idea and she has been preparing from last year for this.

"Congratulations, Mihi!" I mumbled smiling at her while she nodded looking down and I glanced at others before gesturing her.

"Yeah! That's really great and it seems completely suitable for your dream as you will be able to work privately and not just under government." Kalyan joined me.

"I didn't know you were working this hard. How did you manage everything?" Kavitha asked with an amazed tone.

"No wonder you were so tired that day." Rakesh joined.

"So, you will be giving a party soon for this?" Vikesh asked smiling at her.

"I am glad that you got selected, Mihi." Rekha smiled at her and she finally smiled looking at us.

"When I actually decided to do this I thought I would still be like before with you guys being distant with me and that's why I immediately accepted but then now I am not excited like that time but I want to do this." She mumbled and we nodded smiling at her.

"Your dream is important, Mihi. It's not like you are going to leave anytime soon and there is still a year time before you leave." I pointed out and she nodded smiling.

"Yeah! Even Rekha is going to leave within two months but acting like it's not the case." Kalyan commented making her glare at him.

"You are the one who decided to study locally when even you got good opportunities." She mumbled but we all know he is doing that for his Mom's sake.

After everyone left, I stayed back as her parents need to return and I freshened up at her room feeling tired.

"When is your next checkup?" Mihi asked sitting beside me on the couch after freshening up herself.

"Next month! Will you come with me this time too?" I asked turning towards her and she nodded smiling.

"Thanks for taking me with you." She mumbled and I placed my hand over her shoulder before pulling her closer.

"Thank you for bearing with it and being there for me. I don't want to ask Mom to accompany us this time. It is too much for her and I can see she is worried until I get the results." I said and she nodded leaning closer.

"You got mad or hurt that I hid this from you?" she asked after a few minutes.

"You said that you are hiding a secret from the beginning, right. You wanted to make sure you qualify before telling us. And you told us immediately and didn't even inform Aunty and Uncle about your results except for Swapnil Sir." I pointed out and she sighed closing her eyes.

"It feels like you got mature these past months as you used to get mad or hurt if this had happened in the past." She commented and I smiled pressing my lips to her forehead.

"Then where is my reward?" I asked making her shift a bit to stare at my face.

When I told her I am fine with being just her friend is the last time I kissed her as I couldn't control my actions but after that, I controlled every time I wish to do the same.

I can call this time as the time when I couldn't control too and just as a reward, right? With that thought, I pressed my lips to her before kissing her to show the feelings completely but at the same time didn't go all the way, unlike that time.

However, this time she kissed me back while letting me fall over her and I continued to kiss her until she patted my back.

"Thank you for this reward." I whispered pressing kisses over her cheek before moving towards her neck.

"Abhi! I think I heard something." She mumbled removing her hands from my hair as I continued to kiss on her nape while biting the skin.

"What? What can you hear?" I mumbled and that's when I heard the main door which caused me to shift away from her while she rushed towards her room leaving me all alone.

I took deep breaths before turning to look at her parents who just returned while she climbed down the stairs after wearing another top to cover her neck before telling them the news.

They were happy for sure but also worried while Mihi kept on glancing at me and I tried to control my smile as I can see she is feeling shy right now.

#After Two Years#

*Mihira Pov*

"Is it your boyfriend?" One of my classmates asked when I took out my phone after it started ringing.

I shook my head smiling before lifting the call asking, "Why are you not sleeping at this time?"

"I just returned from work. I had to do overtime today, Mihi." He mumbled tiredly.

"Had dinner? You need to take care of yourself, Abhi." I frowned at his tired tone.

"Hmm... are you in your class right now?" he asked after talking about his work and how much it increased after the promotion.

"Yeah! It is going to start soon." I explained and I asked about his parents and mine while he calmly passed their messages.

"Rekha returned to India last week and asked about you. By the way, Vikesh broke up last week too." I laughed at the way he joined the two sentences.

"I know! Kalyan called me yesterday to inform me about his engagement." I mumbled and he made a surprised sound.

"Why didn't he tell me? I didn't know about this. I will kill him tomorrow." He mumbled and I sighed shaking my head.

"Are you free next week, Abhi?" I asked smiling at the news I am about to pass him.

"Why? Do you want me to go and tell Swapnil Sir to just marry already this time too? How many times should we tell him that? He is dating for more than two years but still didn't ask her to marry him." Abhi showed his frustration while talking about Sir making me laugh.

"Don't worry! I will go and scold him next week." I mumbled and he sighed hearing that and immediately paused understanding my words.

"I booked a ticket for the weekend as my classes are done, Abhi. I can return this weekend itself. Are you free to pick me up?" I asked and for a few seconds, he didn't say anything.

"Send me the details of your ticket." He ordered and I assured him that I will send before cutting the call as the professor entered the lab.

I missed every one of them but I missed him more. I can't wait to see all of them this weekend and also I need to scold Swapnil Sir for sure.

Just one more chapter and then epilogue guys... I think I will finish it tomorrow itself... Let's hope so...

So, they are being a couple but the tag is just not there... :P As usual pretending :D
