"Okay team, pair up!" Gary announced suddenly, making several Pokémon groan. He then walked over to Serena. "Hey cutie." He winked. "Mind being my partner?" Serena glanced in Ash's direction with a longing look, before blinking it away and agreeing. Meanwhile, Ash was struggling to contain his anger. He wanted to pair up with Serena.

"Hey Ash," he turned, a harsh glint in his eye. "want to pair up?" It was Paul. Ash looked at him doubtfully, before giving one last desperate look in Serena's direction and nodding.

Bonnie was forced to pair up with Max, who was confidant he would win against some puny Pokémon that he had no idea about. "I'm not PUNY!" Some voice echoed through everyone's head. It was familiar, since they heard it a lot, although they still had no idea who it was -not including the XY gang. It had a feminine tone and she sounded pissed.

"Begin!"

Gary started with Shadow Ball, then rushed in with Shadow Claw. Serena panicked, until she remebered, Never give up, 'til it's over!  She spun her ribbons, creating a harsh tornado of pink dust. When it hit the Shadow Ball, said energy burst in to black mist that was enfused with pink sparkles. The spiral continued on, crashing into Gary and sending him packing. Gary fainted from the single attack.

While everyone was fussing around Gary, Ash sprinted up to Serena and nuzzled her cheek, sending shivers down her spine. Her face was pink and there were traces of red on Ash's. 

Battle, after battle, everyone got stronger, until the last one. Max verses Bonnie.

Sorry, Max verses very ticked off Bonnie.

Max walked over to his end of the clearing and turned before realizing that Bonnie wasn't even close to being there. She was hopping, the distance covering only an inch at a time, but she was hopping fast, that in a minute or two, she finally made it to the field. "Begin!" Gary cried out.

"YOU'RE GOING TO REGRET CALLING ME PUNY YOU TINY POKÉMON!" Bonnie roared, her cry making many wild Pokemon hide in their homes for hours. She let out a cry, a cry for assitance. Ash, Serena, and Clemont shared scared looks, which Gary and May noticed.

Max

While Bonnie was doing that weird call, I looked her over.

(Bonnie:)

I hope she lasts at least one attack.

"You should be hoping you last at least one attack." The voice echoed again.

Who are you?

The voice chuckled. "It's me! Bonnie!" That statement made Max regret his words.

Especially when he saw what she had become.
