Running lets me breathe again

the pounding of feet on the hard ground

The heavy breathing 

mixed with the breath of air in my ears

Run, run

heart pounding

Body burning

body hurting

The pain brings relief from pain

finish a 5k in 32 min and 25 sec

And I go home

back to where the yelling

The fighting

the tears

And the hurt is

can't breathe for a second

Think about running

then I can breathe again
