The darkness closes in, soon burying the three four-wings within it's holds. Without them, Tan braces for her defeat. She had no one left. Purplebird was shattered. Her only six-wing was gone. And now, at this very moment, it seemed she was destined to join her lost Pearl. That was it, huh? A Diamond to fall by the one she was created by...Seems like a cruel twist of fate.

But suddenly, without warning, a burst of rainbow light blasts through the darkness, shattering the barrier around where the three power pearls had been as a larger Power Pearl raises up on unsteady feet their very body repelling the darkness that tried to consume them. Their eight wings unfurling from their back as they steadied out. Their tail glows dimly, pulsing with a rainbow hue as the newly formed Eight-wing Power Pearl rises.

Dark Brown feels the barrier weaken, lifts up the foot up that's holding Tan, and hops around with a scowl. Tan scampers to her feet and faces Dark Brown quietly. The barrier breaks further more until it's pushed away from Tan's HQ and frees a few trapped two-wings. Dark Brown growls as she swishes her tail angrily, challenging this new Power Pearl.

The rainbow Power Pearl swishes her tail back, taking a defensive stance. Her size making her as big as the Diamond. Her eyes focus intently, her wings seem to shimmer as she moved, and her eyes almost glow with a fighting spirit seen only in Yellowbird Pearl. This new Power Pearl...A fusion...Was ready to fight for the Diamond she held close. The Heardbird of the Birdpearls. Tan Diamond. And she would do whatever it took, no matter the cost.

The two giants sized the other up. Now they circled the other on the ground. A Diamond against a Power Pearl.

Tan could only watch. It brought memories of a similar occurrence that she had tried to push away. The day she had fought Purplebird.
