Day 2 (2nd June 2020) : Things that make me happy

"Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens
Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens
Brown paper packages tied up with strings
These are a few of my favourite things"

I feel this song has the capacity to explain things that make me happy.

⚡The smallest things of life, be it man made or gift from mother nature can make me happy.

⚡Vintage collections, old books and papers whose pages are layered with yellow colour, my paint palette with variety of colours swirled around, cute packaging of products, bath and body works shop (and their sale), fairy lights, small glass bottles...

⚡Flowers that dance with wind, chirping of the morning birds, the golden ray of sunshine that penetrates my window during the early hours of the day, the dried and antique brown leaves fallen on my terrace, cats and kittens purring and rolling...

⚡But most importantly clouds. The fluffy cotton filled masses of white, floating about the space gives me immense joy. Being an artist I love the nature in all it's colours, somehow clouds manage to capture a special place in my heart. It gives me a sense of tranquility and joy to paint clouds. Half my phone gallery will be either filled with clouds or cats when I travel (domestic or abroad).

⚡Memories of my school life gives me happiness. Especially my 10th grade. One of the most blissful year of my life.

⚡I get happy when my hair is silky and smooth, that bounces all day long. I hate it when dust and sweat make it sticky.

⚡Hearing compliments makes me happy. Be it my on attire or my work, I just love to hear compliments.

⚡Most importantly I get happy when I know I am loved. When my friends say I mean something to them. When people genuinely like me. And it gives me happiness to say that I love them back (a lot).

⚡These tiny things manage to delight me. Sometimes I prance around my house when I am happy.
