Once I thought  that I saw the stars

As I gazed out from behind the bars

Once I dreamed that I was free

And that the World no longer laughed at me

Caging me so I couldn't walk

Silencing me so I could no longer talk

The stars I once thought  I could see

Then the world hit them from me
