A Flame
It burns
It burns because you provide it more fuel
It burns because you provide the warmth
The breath of heat
You can't put it out, not after you've tend to it for so long
Not after you've given the fire the opportunity to burn
Not after you've allowed it to spread
Water is no good, you tried it once, but it wasn't water it was gas
You ignited the flames even more to where they have burned your finger tips and have reached your lips
The breath of heat on your lips and finger tips
A flame has rose to spread into you
And it went straight through
It burns doesn't it?
It burns your chest and your eyes
It burns your throat and your nose
It burns and flows and it won't stop until it knows...
That you've died
And before you know it, it's gone and you're left with the small breath of heat.
