Chapter 7

{~Epic music recommended~}

Not yet, I'll tell you when.

"Alright, is everyone ready?" Finnigan asked, his gaze raking over them. They were at the castle gate, ready to leave.

"Yes!" They answered.

"Let's fight for what's ours!" Zane called. Cries of agreement followed his words.  Their breaths were visible against the cold night air. I sat on a bench, which was against the castle wall, next to the entrance to inside the building. My knees were pulled up to my face and my arms wrapped around my legs. My chin leaned on my knees.
I shivered with cold and fear as I saw them getting ready to leave. I saw Kiki looking at me. She smiled with her usual perky smile, and I smiled a little bit, but the smile didn't last long. My gaze swapped to Nicole. She had her own arms crossed and she was shaking. Kaden came over and gave her a jacket. She nodded toward him with gratitude.
My gaze finally rested on Ace. He was talking urgently with General Finnigan. I closed my eyes. Please let my friends be protected. I opened up my eyes and saw them marching out. I furrowed my eyebrows worriedly. I guess I should get back inside. I walked into the castle and closed the big doors. I relished the warmth of the castle for a minute and went into the Training Room.
Not even bothering with my Galaxia Dagger's, I hit the punching bag with my fists, but the punching bag barely moved because of my pathetic hit. Concern heavily weighed on my shoulders. I kicked it hard, and it swung. What if they die? The thought couldn't leave my mind. A girl to the right of me was punching a punching bag hard. She kicked it and punched it like it she was beating up a person.

"Uh, hi. Are you okay?" I asked. She stopped and looked at me.

"Yeah, I guess I am." She answered, her gaze quickly landing on the floor. I put a hand on her shoulder.

"You don't look like it." I murmured. She looked up at me.

"Yeah... I-I'm not." She admitted.

"Your name?" I tilted my head.

"Mila."

"Blaire." I smiled.

"The reason is... M-my brother is with them." Mila answered.

I looked down. I wish I had a brother or sister to care for.

"My friends are on that patrol too, but we needn't worry. We have strong ranks and strong people there." I tried to reassure her, and secretly, myself. The girl smiled.

"Ye--" She was going to say something, but she was interrupted by a voice.

"Hello there." She looked past me. Huh? All ranks above trainee should be gone... I turned my head and saw a man enter the entrance of the Training Room. I widened my eyes when I saw Crecon's symbol. It looked like a orange sword. Despite my lack of confidence, I walked over to him. "How did you get in here?" I demanded, my voice low. And by the time I walked over and talked to him, all the trainee's that was in the castle and in the Training Room stood beside me.

"Oh, how did I get here? The castle gates were easy to open, since there wasn't any guard there, and also, the castle entrance was open." His explanation caught me by surprise. Oh no. I didn't lock it when I came in...

"Who are you?" I inquired. "Crecon." He replied. My mouth dropped. "C-crecon? The Crecon?"

    "What?"

    "He's here?!"

     "Oh no..."

Trainee's around me whispered the words.

"Oh yes. Am I famous around here?" Crecon chuckled. Suddenly, I realized something. Why aren't they at Base Heathens!? I widened my eyes. I lifted my gaze to look at the man. He had white hair, not with age, but naturally. He looked as though he was 40. He also had gray armor on. His muscles were shown visibly across his arms.
Before I could ask why they were here, Phoenix stepped up.

"Why aren't you at Base Heathens?" He narrowed his eyes.

(~You can do music now!~)

A smirk creeped onto his face. "Oh, honestly, I pity you all. But we can't continue to chat like this." Crecon suddenly snapped his fingers, and people with black armor swarmed out and ran to us with big guns. "Take them." The bulbs that were keeping the room alight were shot and the only light and sound that was heard was the neon gunshots being fired. Oh no... I backed away. Horror gushed into me. Cries and wails filled the room.

"Don't please!" I whispered.

I looked around, fear lighting up inside of me. Someone ran toward me, and despite my fear, I grabbed my Galaxia Daggers out of my sheathed, and prepared for the worst. The man came at me with a sword, his blade almost cutting my arm. I gasped, and quickly tried to wound him, but he dodged, grabbing me.

"Hey!" I yelled. I grabbed his arm and tugged him close landing a blow to his face.

"Argh!" He shouted out with pain. It wasn't too strong,so this mostly just angered him. He came at me again, but this time I dodged, and cut his right arm with both of my Galaxia Daggers. He widened his eyes; and I realized how bad the wound I gave him. Whirling around, I ran through the fighting. Suddenly, someone knocked me to the ground. I was on my chest, and I tried to get up, but someone was holding me down, with their foot pressed on my back.

"Grr." I put my hands flat on the ground and pushed up like I was doing a pushup. The foot was off now, and I got up. A girl with long blonde hair was in front of me, narrowing her frostbitten purple eyes.

"I'm going to make you wish you didn't come!" I yowled. I grabbed out my Galaxia's and threw both of them at her. She ducked swiftly and it went past her and stabbed her comrades.

"Ugh!"

I reached out and it went out of their bodies, and blood spilled out. The handles of the Galaxia's came to my hand. Suddenly, she grabbed hold of both of my wrists in both of her hands.

"Let me go!" I shouted, struggling.  She threw me to the ground. Her eyes wandered around and stopped at me.

"Run. You don't want to know the weapons we have." She murmured. She looked down at me. "You need to." Sympathy passed in her eyes. One quick glance at me, she flung herself into battle. I was on my back and I looked at the direction where she ran. What...?

"No!" I suddenly Mila's voice.

She's behind me, I realized. I got to my feet. Thank you for sparing me, but I can't just run. I turned around and widened my eyes. A man shot her, but it didn't hit her. The bullet dropped and suddenly, a green neon net popped out, trapping her.

"Ow! Please!" She wailed, and I suddenly saw her face cringe in pain. What's happening to her!? For all I knew, she was only in the net. I jumped onto the attacker's back and choked him.

"Hey! Let her go!" I yelled, and my grasp on his neck tightened. The man wheezed, and walked weakly with me on his back, over to the net. He pressed a button that was on it. The net loosened and dropped onto the floor. The net no longer was neon green, now it was gray and looked like a normal net. Mila dropped onto the floor. Somewhat satisfied, I let go of him and jumped down and hurried over to the girl. Dropping to my knees, I asked,

"Are you okay?"

Suddenly, I heard a gunshot behind me. I turned around and saw the bullet in front of me. I looked down to look at it.

"Hm? Wait, no!" I gasped. tried to get up, but it caught me. I fell to the ground and felt the net wrap around me. Suddenly, I was struck with unbelievable pain.

"Help me! Please! HELP ME!" I cried, but the pain sizzled inside of me like my blood was lava. A spasm came over me and I groaned. I gave a wail of anguish. Tears gushed out of me, while agony shot through my whole body.

"HELP ME!" I screamed. Suddenly, I shook, and darkness swirled into my mind as my cold body hit the floor. Pain was all I could remember.
