Normani sat at her kitchen table going over some bills. She sighed and put her head in her hands.
Just then, Camila walked into their two bedroom apartment and threw her keys on the kitchen table.
"More bills huh Mani?" she asked frowning.
"Yes. I don't know what we are going to do. I already borrowed and loaned as much as I can from my family and my bank. And this says we have to be out of here in 30 days," said Mani holding up a piece of paper. Mila took the paper and read it quickly and balled the paper up. She threw it into the trash and went to sit on the couch. Mani got up and sat down next to Mila.
"Look, our checks aren't cutting it. We have to do something." said Mani.
They sat in silence for awhile before anyone said anything.
"Lets rob a bank." said Mila softly.
"What!" yelled Mani trying to make sure she heard her right.
"Yes lets rob a bank. We literally have nothing to lose Normani."
"How about our freedom!? We have that to lose."
"What do you suggest we do then Mani? And anyway we are all prisoners. You think we have freedom? We dont. We're trapped in society and society wont let us out. If we rob a bank it'll be quick and easy because my friend Ally works at the bank. We won't have to do a stick up, we just have to get Ally to give us the money and it's done."
Mani stood up and started walking towards her bedroom.
"So what about it Mani? We have to do it."
Mani turned around and nodded. She really didn't have anything to lose did she?
"We have to do it." said Mani turning back around and walking to her bedroom.

When Mani woke up she walked to the bathroom to fix her hair and brush her teeth. When she got done, she found Mila in the kitchen wearing a business suit and holding a suitcase.
"Go put some clothes on Mani. We have business to tend to," she said with a smile.
Mani walked to her room and put on a white button up with black slacks and some red pumps. When she walked out of her room, Mila handed her a suitcase.
"Lets go."

When they arrived at the Third street bank They parked in the back and entered the bank through a back entrance.
"Mila what now. You won't even tell me what the hell we're going to do once we have the money."
"We're going to Mexico."
"Why?"
Mila didn't say anything.
They walked up to the desk and a short woman in a yellow blouse greeted them with a smile.
"Hello, what can I do for you?"
" We're here to see Mrs. Hernandez. She's expecting us." said Mila. The lady walked over to  a door and unlocked it and directed us up some stairs that led to the office.
Mila knocked on the door several times before anybody said anything.
"Uh, come in." said a soft voice on the other side of the door.
Mani and Mila walked into the office and Ally greeted them with a smile.
"Hello Camila. And who do we have here?"
"Allyson, Normani. Normani, Allyson. And I came because I needed a loan."
"How much?" Ally asked quickly.
"About $50,000."
Ally laughed and stood up from her chair.
"Now I know we're friends and all but I can't loan you that much money. I know you can't pay it back. Its just not gonna happen Mila. You do understand it's just business right?"
Mila nodded and took a gun from her suitcase.
"Mila what the fuck!?" yelled Normani.
She pointed the gun at Ally and shot three bullets straight at Ally's head.
"Get the cash. Its in her drawers." said Mila calmly.
"Why did you do that!? Oh shit we're gonna get caught!" Mani said running to the desk.
"There's nothing in here!" Mani said.
Mila looked around and saw the safe sitting up on a filing cabinet.
Mila shot at the lock from a distance and walked over to see how much money was in the safe. Heavy footsteps were heard coming up the stairs.
Mila quickly put all the money in her suitcase and headed for the door.
Mani followed and they ran down the hall the opposite of the stairs.
"I'm scared!" yelled Mani.
Mila put her fingers to her lips and signaled for her to be quiet.
They snuck onto the roof and down a ladder on the roof. Once on the ground, they hurried back to the car.
"We dont have much time before they catch us. We have to ditch them. They didn't see us run down the hall so we might not have been caught." said Mila starting the car and driving off.
"Yes! We did it. They aren't tailing us." said Mila.
"I thought they would b-" Mani stopped talking when she heard sirens.
"Shit!" Mila yelled turning a corner going 65 mph in a 40.
The police sirens got closer. Mila turned into a parking garage and slowly parked the car. She turned the car off and slouched down in her seat. Mani slid down in her seat and turned to look at Mila. Mila put her finger to her lips telling Mani to be quiet.
The cop cars sped past the parking garage. As soon as they heard nothing they sat back up.
"We're switching cars. We just need to find one." said Mila looking around.
They both exited the car and started checking cars to see if any of them were open.
"Found one," Mani said. Mila slipped in the passenger side with the suitcase. They drove back to their apartment and counted the money.
"There's $35,000 here. Looks like Ally wasn't clean herself. She kept this money locked up for herself." Said Mila.
"Well now that we have it, we can pay off our debt." said Mani smiling.
Mila put her head in her hands and started crying.
"What? What's wrong?" asked Normani.
"I'm sorry." said Mila.
"About what?"
"This."
Pow!!
Mani fell off the couch clutching her shoulder.
"Why!? Oh my God why did you do that!" Mani yelled.
"I planned this. I wanted to rob the bank and take all the money for myself. But I couldn't do it alone so I asked you to help me do it. But I need this money more than you. I'm moving to Mexico before the cops find out who it was. If they do, I'm dead too." Camila quickly packed the money back into the suitcase and bent down next to Mani.
"Sorry. But this is how it had to be. I have the rest of my family in Mexico waiting for me. I'm so sorry." and with that, she ran out of the house and left Mani there to bleed out.
"I didn't deserve this." she mumbled as life left her body.
