Stop expecting drastic changes to happen in your life. They don't just happen overnight. They are simply the accumulation of every action and reaction of yours. You don't just wake up one day and decide that you're going to completely change the way you live. You acknowledge that it needs a change and start taking baby steps towards it. You fail at it, you suck at it, you learn and grow through it but you don't give it up. The rough patches are going to make all the difference. So embrace them and remember you just have to compete with who you were yesterday. It's okay to fluctuate, it's all a part of the process. One day, you will finally reach that place you always wanted to. But will that be it? No. You will always want more. Always. The thirst to be better and wanting more is good, but when you keep waiting for something big to happen, you forget to respect the little things which matter the most. When you look back, you will end up remembering how badly you failed in the beginning, how you dealt with it, what motivated you throughout and things like that. All these little things will matter the most. So stop hating these obstacles and start embracing them and learning from them. But before that, awaken that belief in yourself. Because 'you can'.
