As the day of the ball went closer, the more the preparations are being completed. This ball was the first they hosted for years. Sure, they hold banquets and feasts for some occasions, but they never hosted a large scale ball since the tragedy several years ago.
Such reason pushed the royal family to a very tiresome situation.
Not only that the preparations need to be accomplished as soon as possible but they also need to make sure that all preparations will be up to the standard that they set for themselves.
Financially, this wouldn't be a problem. Heck, every necessity in the ball can easily be attained. They also have enough man power.
No. The very tiresome situation that they are in is much worse. If this predicament cannot be solved as soon as possible, the ball will have to be cancelled.
What is their predicament, you care to ask?
Well, it is---
"THE GOD'S SAKE GIO JUST FINISH YOUR FCKING PAPERWOR ALREADY!"
"YOU'LL NEVER DRAG ME TO THAT HELL HOLE!"
"EXTREME!"
"Nufufufufufu. They will never get to finish everything in time."
"DON'T JUST FCKING STAND THERE! HELP ME CAPTURE THE IDIOTIC KING!"
"Hahahahaha!"
"Hn. If you don't stop this nonsense, I---"
"JUST HELP ME FIND THAT IDIOT!"
"Hn. With tha--"
"Nufufufufu~ Seems like someone doesn't want FIND the king. Would you rather be coward and---"
"JUST FCKING HELP ME FIND HIM!"
"Yare Yare..."
-- Just a problem with a certain blond king who refuses to get his paperwork done.
With that, they are even making a bigger mess. It was a good thing that the children are with their Aunt Elena, or else it would have been an even bigger mess than what the adults are creating for themselves.
The staff members, who saw the comical act of the royal family, can't help but feel relieved, at the same time disturbed of their actions.
It was nostalgic enough to see the kind of routine they used to see three years ago. After all, the adults' expressions are eerily the same as it was before. But all of them are a little off lately. Their usual shenanigans are even coming back. It was like; they are starting to get over the dread of what happened long time ago.
As much as they feel relief for them, a question wondered at the back of their minds on who or what made them go back to almost their normal selves. There were a lot of speculations going on about it, but the most common that they heard is that they have found where the young prince is.
Of course, they would have been ecstatic, but those were only rumors and-

*CRASH*
*BAM*
--- They have no time to worry about it yet.
---
After several hours of hunting down a certain blond king, the said blond king was forcibly being dragged back to his office (with constant pleas and puppy dog eyes coming from him). It was when their personal guests came.
Coincidentally, their said guests and the royal family were able to meet as they planned to go to where they needed to be.
"It is quite a surprise, Gio," Chuckled one of their personal guests. "It was such a long time since I saw you like that." He looked at the young king, his red, compass-like eyes, gleaming with amusement.
"Indeed." A raspy old voice of a man agreed with such bemusement.
"Giotto looks livelier than usual, ne~" Said a voice behind the two. "Ah~ No~ All of you are livelier than ever before~ Cozart-kun is right, though~" He smiled eerily as usual as he ate his marshmallow with every statement.
"Perhaps, something great had just happened..." The only lady with them concluded. Even though her voice sounded innocent, the glint in her eyes shows otherwise.
"Ahaha..." The person, who they are referring to, chuckled awkwardly, as he let out a shaky smile to them. He doesn't know what to say anymore as the position he is in is indeed very out-of-his-current-character and so far, unbefitting to a king of his league.
He was roped from the neck to toe and his guardians were dragging him like a baggage.
"Either way, my grandson seems very uncomfortable with his restraints." The man with a raspy old voice said, looking at his 'grandson'.
His 'grandson,' looked at him with hope for him to be released with such tight ropes around him.
"Never mind this idiot here," G. replied as he gestured to Giotto. "This is what he gets for messing around and attempting to skip paperwork."
"Typical Giotto." The man, who spoke first, said, but confusion is evident on his eyes.
"We have a lot to catch up to, I presume." The lady said, chuckling to herself. "How about a little chat for a while?" She offered.
Giotto, though tied up, beamed at the suggestion and said, "In fact, there is something that we have to discuss! Let's go to the meeting room, right after you get settled with your rooms and belongings."
---
Despite being a chat, tensioned air surrounded the occupied meeting room of the Vongola Castle. This isn't just a normal chat, after all. The people in the said room aren't just commoners who sat around for a regular chit chat.
After all, the people involved in this 'chat' are the rulers of several powerful kingdoms, the persons, who at their unified decision can lead to the devastation and/or prosperity of their territories.
As usual, the one who is sitting in the head chair is none other than the host itself, the king of the Vongola Kingdom, Giotto. The three seats in his left and right side were occupied by his six guardians.
Opposite Giotto sat the Queen of the Arcobaleno Kingdom, Luce Giglio Nero. While on her right side is her daughter, the Queen of the Giglio Nero Kingdom, Aria Giglio Nero, who was invited by her mother at her arrival.
Two seats apart from Aria, sat Cozart Shimon, king of the Shimon Kingdom. While opposite him is Byakuran Gesso, the newly crowned king of the Millefiore Kingdom (formerly known as Gesso). And two seats apart from the guardians, is Timoteo di Vongola, the current Varia leader and the grandfather of Giotto.
"I believe you have a lot of explaining to do, Giotto." Cozart said, his face morphing to a serious expression.
The guardians looked at Giotto in confusion, except Alaude, whose expression remains impassive.
"First of all, I thank you for responding to my request to come as soon as possible," Replied Giotto who eyed everyone, not minding the incredulous look on his guardian's face.
"That wasn't a problem at all," Timoteo responded. "What we want you explain first is you and your family's questionable behavior."
"They are just excited after all~" Byakuran piped in. "You found him, right?"
All eyes turned to Byakuran, who is smiling creepily as he eats his marshmallow.
"It's quite obvious," Reasoned Byakuran.
"Is it true, Gio?" The atmosphere around them started to feel lighter, as the news sunk in to the occupants.
The wide smile in Giotto's lips is enough to answer the question.
"Where? How? When?" Cozart asked.
"The children were the ones who found him in town, perhaps was taken in by someone," Supplied G.
"If that's the case," Luce wondered out. "Why weren't you able to find him right away?"
The atmosphere became gloomy.
"That is what we are confused about too." Asari said. "We did search in the whole kingdom before leaving the premises."
"Hn. But he was never found." Alaude continued. "Every Lord in their respective territories also conducted a wide search."
"Yare.. Yare... Another problem is about his memories..." Lampo brought up the 'sensible' topic.
"What of Tsunayoshi's memories?" Timoteo inquired.
"Nufufufu... They're gone..." Daemon answered. "But... We would like to think that it was erased..."
"He doesn't remember us at all. He insisted that his name is Cielo." Knuckle explained further. "But when he suddenly ran away, he bid us farewell and at that moment he recognized us..."
"But given that, we are sure that he is alive." Luce said.
"However, how could someone bypass Alaude?" Timoteo wondered. Alaude scowled at that remark, but didn't say anything to rebutt it.
"Moreover, who is the one who kidnapped Tsunayoshi?" Aria, who was quiet except at this point, asked. "It might help us to find out to what happened to him."
"About that..." Giotto scratched his nape while letting out a nervous laugh. "I thought that you could be of help?" He spoke it with such reluctance, making it sound like a question.
Each of them agreed to do so.
"Thank you..." Giotto said.
"It's alright, our guardians are very willing to do so." Luce replied for everybody.
"We will also help in terms of security," Added Timoteo.
"So, you don't have to worry and just do your paperwork." Cozart reassured (NOT) as he smiled.
Giotto paled at the reminder of his best friend and struggled to get away as soon as possible, only to be stopped by a force called Gravity. He faced Cozart with a look full of betrayal. But Cozart just smirked in return.
"NOOOOOOOOO!"
---
"Hmm... It took longer than I originally thought."
---
"So here it is." A man muttered as looked at the he is. He scanned the surrounding for any other person around the area, only to find none. 'So they also went to it.'
"Just you wait." He lowered his fedora, shadowing his beady black eyes, as he left the house At the outskirts of the kingdom.
