A Not So Cinderella Like Story

His Highness, King Giotto di Vongola, together with the whole royal family, will be holding a ball on October 14, XXXX, two weeks from now. This will be held at the Vongola Castle Grounds.

All families are invited to come to the ball. Anyone, as long as they are a Vongola resident, are all welcome to come.

This is to comemorate the Kingdom's prosperity and peacefulness throughout the years since its foundation.

The whole royal family is awaiting for your prescence this coming October 14.

Their plan in finding him is to have a ball; a ball to gather everyone in one place. This, so far, is the best plan that they come up with.

They are sure that everyone would come, as this is the first time that they will be having a ball ever since their prince went missing.

News about the ball, quickly spread throughout the kingdom, from its capital to its borders. Everyone who had known about the ball and all had planned to go. From the richest of the families to the 'regarded' as the 'poorest' had known about it.

And in a week time, everyone had been preparing for the ball that they were about to attend.

With the news  spreading like wildfire, in no time, it reached the house at the farthest part of the kingdom, the Rito Household. Of course, they too planned to go to this ball. After all, who wouldn't want to miss the ball that the Vongola's royal family had prepared?

Although, there is a problem at hand. A servant named Cielo.

It is said that EVERYONE needs to be there at the ball, even though he or she is a servant or slave. So, they had no choice but to include him as well.

"BRAT! GET DOWN HERE!" Hiro roared from downstairs, startling the young brunet from his work.

Cielo, even though near at his so-called room, ran- more like sprinted downstairs, tripping a few times. And just after some minutes, he had reached downstairs where he has been called.

There, he saw that Hiro and his three sons were dressed as if going somewhere. He also saw that they have packed things along with them.

"Yes, master?" Cielo said.

"Tch. Brat, we are going to the Capital." Hiro said while slamming to Cielo a 'suit' that was for him. Although it looks like rag, he accepted in nevertheless.

"Be glad, useless, that father had decided to bring you along with us." The three said in harmony.

"Why are we going?" Cielo asked.

"King Giotto will held a ball a week from now. And we will attend it." Hiro explained.

"Tch. Anyway, you will NOT, I said NOT attend the ball. You will only stay outside.." He added, while having a thought, 'If only you are not with us.' He clicked his tongue in dismay and nervousness.

"Hai..." Cielo said, but noting the nervousness that he can feel from his 'master.'

"Well then, let's go." He said, with a hint of excitement yet anxiety laced in his voice, before ushering his sons to their carriage.

While he, Cielo had went to the front because he is the one who will be driving the 'carriage' towards the Capital. Luckily enough, he knows how to do it and he knows the way there, which is a little weird, as if he has already been there.

'Why is going there makes me feel so nostalgic and happy?'

A single thought lingered in his mind.

After 4 days of the tireful trip, they atlast reached the Capital. As expected, everyone had been preparing for the upcoming ball. The Capital had more people in it, much much more than their usual 'population'.

People from different towns of the Vongola Kingdom had came exclusivley for the ball.

Cielo's blank eyes, look at the 'Capital' with unusual sparkles present. Afterall, this is the first time that he had seen so many people. He would have stayed in daze if not someone hitting him in the shoulder (but not that rough because there are many people).

"Brat. Go to that hill. The house is there." He said, seething angry that I spaced out. He pointed to the small house near the hill, nearer to the Castle.

"Hai." While having an after thought, 'Is it just me, or is he getting a little more cranky than usual?'

And after a few minutes, they arrived to the small house on top of the hill. Apparently, this was his master's house before moving to the borders.

After his children had went to their rooms to rest, one of his sons tossed Cielo some clothes, which were clean, by the way. And then he went to his room.

"Tch. Make sure you look presentable even though you are not going to the ball."

Cielo rolled his eyes once and he left to find his room.

Cielo P.O.V.

'Of course, my room is at the roof. Quite obvious.' I thought as I found my room.

I looked at the clothes that he 'gave' me. Lately, he's been more gentler to me. As if he doesn't want me to be hurt. After few minutes, I rolled my eyes from coming up the 'reason'.

'Oh yeah, the King might recognize him as an 'ideal man' once he saw me being taken care of..'

'King... Castle... Capital... Why does it feel like it is familiar to me..'

'Will I also have answers about myself here?'

Better take advantage of it. Time to look around. But maybe a lunch before that?

Vongola

While the preparations for the ball are still ongoing, the adults had allowed their children to take a break for the day. Even though that it is only noon, they decided to make them take a rest for half of the day (after all they have been working since morning). And as a 'rest' they are allowed to go out of the castle grounds.

However, they were not out to play. They are out to find their missing 'brother'. Even though three years had passed, they are still hoping to find him. He might now be lurking around here somewhere.

They, obviously, asked permission first. But their parents had declined, although after a few minutes of persuasion, they reluctantly agreed them to go.

"Where could we start looking?" Hayato wondered out loud.

"Kufufufu.. We couldn't go to town because it will create too much ruckus." Mukuro said.

"Then we should EXTREMELY search in the forest!" Ryohei enthusiastically suggested.

"Hahaha! We can't. Dad and Uncles will surely get worried if we suddenly get lost!"

"For now, we can only search in some of the houses near the castle.." Chrome said.

"That isn't a bad idea, Chrome-nee.." Hayato said. "What do you think?"

Everyone nodded at the suggestion.

"Hn. But we could also try to search near the town. There is a possibility that we can see someone related to him.." Kyoya said.

"Ne, ne, wouldn't that draw too much attention to us? In the end, we will not be able to search at all." Lambo retorted.

"That is why we will search NEAR the town." Kyoya repeated, emphasizing the 'Near' part.

This had made everyone confused, seeing that it was just the same thing. Until, Mukuro explained it to them, "I hate to agree with him, but he has a point. We can search the areas and houses near the town. Apart from focusing near the castle, we should also try and search the areas near the populated ones."

"Does that mean, we will try to search at the entrance of the town?" Hayato inquired.

"Hn." Kyoya answered with silently means 'yes'.

"And I asked Aunt Elena to give us 'commoner's' clothes." Kyoko said while showing to them the normal clothes of their residents. "So that if someone notice us, they will think that we are only civillians from other towns that went here to attend the ball."

"Kufufufu.. Then this means that we are already ready. We need to go know to search more places."

With that, they left the castle and started to search.

Cielo

Granted that he will not be getting any lunch, he wandered through the busy town, exploring it for the first time. However, not being used to crowds and to prevent himself from getting lost, he first searched the near entrance of the town, near their current place and near to the castle.

He looked everything in awe. Never had he saw anything like this (or had he?). Houses and lots of them. He continued walking to no particular direction, still admiring what he can see.

To prove that he is in real awe, he forgotten about his hungry stomach.

'Wah! I can't believe this! I haven't seen anything like this!'

'Amazing!'

Those are his thoughts, with real delight.

He continued to walk and walk, still admiring everything he sees. After all he has all the time to explore, because he had just saw Hiro and his sons in the town.

Vongola

Just as what they had planned, the Vongola children started to look near the town. They were careful in to not attracting any attention from the few people passing by, so it went along as what they had all expected; peaceful.

Unfortunately though, their search wasn't that successful as they had originally thought it would be. They had already roamed around the area 'near' the town, yet they caught no signs of who they are looking for.

"It seems like we aren't going find him today..." Hayato said, his disappointment clearly expressed.

"Hahaha.. It was only our first try. So it's probably alright." Takeshi uttered. With that everyone nodded.

"But then! We can still continue to search for him, right! After all, it is still early in the afternoon!" Kyoko said.

"Hn. Then let's have a quick look near the castle grounds before we go back here." Kyoya suggested, which earned everyone's agreement.

"Hn. Let's go"

With just a matter of time, they were able to arrive to their 'destination' and they started to look for their goal. They splitted in to partners, in order to cover more area as possible with little time.

Their search was going normally at first.

Not until they heard Lambo shout—

"GUPYAAAA! TSUNA-NII!"

—addressing a child, at their age, with a familiar mop of brown hair.

They sprinted towards him, who at the moment, is clueless. But when he heard someone shouted, he turned around and saw children around his age, who is looking at him wide-eyed.

Once they saw him fully, they are sure that this is him. He is the only one with that wide caramel eyes and untamable mop of hair.

"Tsuna/ Tsuna-nii/ Tsunayoshi/ Tsuna-kun!"

When they said that, the child tilted his head in confusion.

"I'm sorry.. But who are you?"

Precious-Little-Girl: And here I am, saying that I will update on April 10 but I posted this on April 18. I'm very very sorry.. T^T Even though I am on vacation, I still have many things that I need to do. And that I also fell in love with a new anime called 'Log Horizon'.
