The Day It All Happened
The Next Morning....
It was 10 o clock in the morning when everyone decided to begin their day by getting up, all except Ezra which was odd; the small family were becoming worried as he had missed breakfast and had locked himself away in his room. Inside the teens locked bedroom, Ezra was sat on his bed, completely dressed, ready to go and try to start the day, but all he wanted to was lock himself off from the rest of the world, but knowing he couldn't, the young boy just sighed. Ezra reluctantly stood up and final left his room, making his way down towards the kitchen to find the small family talking. Hera was the first to notice the teenager and smiled "hey Ezra, you okay??" all attention was suddenly on Ezra, but he just shrugged "can I go out for a bit please??" he asked, trying to stay polite. The couple shared a looked, metal agreeing "sure kid, where do you want to go?? Maybe we can all go??" Kanan suggested, but it was more than clear that Ezra was against it "err...no, it's fine" he stated "I just have to...go somewhere...alone" each family member raised a brow to that response, but Hera just smiled "okay, just make sure you have your phone and to call if you need us" she reminded earning nod. And with that Ezra, returned to his room, packed a few things into his backpack before making his way back down stairs "okay, I'll be back later" was all he said before leaving the house. What the boy didn't know was that when he went upstairs, Hera and Kanan quickly and quietly discussed the situation, saying they were both worried about the whole thing before coming up with a plan; Kanan was going to follow Ezra in the car to make sure he was actually okay and didn't get into any trouble. Now, the man was driving the car, following his adoptive some; he saw Ezra first enter a flower shop and bought some nice red roses and a bottle of water. He gently placed them into his back pack. Ezra began to make his way into a forest; Kanan was forced to follow the kid on foot and quickly hide behind a big and old oak tree as Ezra had come to a stop. The boy turned around, folding his arms with a smirk planted on his face "you can come out now Kanan!!" he called. Kanan was surprised 'how the?!' he slowly came out with his arms held up in surrender "okay, you caught me" he admitted "but how and when did you know I was following you??" Ezra rolled his eyes but explained "rule one of tailing someone, don't get too close so that they can see you". The man nodded "I'll keep that in mind, but here's another question for you" he said before asking "why did you buy flowers and water?? And then come all the way out here??" he was clearly still very confused; Ezra just sighed "you shouldn't have followed me, but since you're here, I guess you can tag along" he stated "just keep up". And wit that, they began walking again, but Kanan and Ezra side by side this time.
After a good 10 minute walk, the two came across a beautiful willow tree; underneath it were two large stones that had something carves into them. Ezra approached the two stones before pulling out the flowers and bottled water; he knelt in front of the two stones. He separated two flowers into two piles before placing them on the patch of grass next to the stones and poured the water over them. Throwing the now empty bottle back into his backpack, Ezra began to speak "hey mum, hey dad...I miss you guys" he mumbled "I hope you guys are looking down on me...and my new family...they're really nice". Kanan suddenly realised exactly what this place was; it hit him like a one of bricks. The head stones were his mother and father's head stones, and someone had carved their names, date of births, dates of death and what they were into them. Kanan also noticed the young boy's shoulders shaking; Ezra was crying!! Moving over, the man placed his hand on the teens shoulder, in a form of comfort "today...10 years ago today...was the day those hooded men broke in and...and killed my parents" the adults heart broke for the boy and pulled him into a hug once he had crouched done next to him. After five minutes, the two parted and Ezra said his goodbyes before they quickly returned to the road where Kanan had parked the car; a storm was coming, a big and bad one. Little did either of the two males know, someone was watching them, twenty feet away, hiding behind the bushes.
When They Returned Home....
The two soon arrived home and rushed in; they were both drenched from the storm. Hera handed them a towel each to dry their dripping hair; Ezra decided to go change into some dry and warm clothes whilst Kanan explained to the others why he had been acting strange earlier that day and that he had gone to visit his parents grave in the woods.
Soon enough, they were all sat in the living room, watching a movie during the terrible storm; it had worsened by adding thunder and lightening. Ezra went to get some more popcorn for them when all of a sudden, a loud bang at the door was heard. Zeb answered the door and called for his dad; they all walked over towards the door, all except Ezra who was still in the kitchen. A man was stood at the door, soaked from the rain, looking terrified. Before any of them could speak, a smash was heard from behind them. Turning around, the small family saw Ezra stood near the stairs, his eyes wide, glass and popcorn scattered at his feet "Ezra??" Sabine spoke, worried by the stated the younger teen seemed to be in. Ezra just stared at the man in the door way "...Tseebo!?"
