Third Person's POV

We start in Chuck's secret workshop as there are several shots of Emerald Coast in a TV "The new Emerald Coast Resort sounds like the perfect place to get away from it all! You can hang out at the beach, or float in the crystal-clear ocean all day long, then dine as you watch a spectacular sunset!" Amy said as Tails, Turbo, Cream, and Cheese are already in the X-Tornado. Chuck, Chris, and Amy are standing nearby, and Sonic and Brody are loumging in a few crates "It sounds absolutely romantic! I wish we were going to the opening party!" Amy said "We'll have fun at the Thorndykes' villa. Are you ready to go, Cheese!" Cream said "Chao! Chao!" Cheese said "I'm ready too, guys! My flight plan will take us right to the Emerald Coast" Tails said "Be careful, Tails, and try not to let anybody see you" Chris said "They won't have a problem as long as they stay on the grounds of the villa" Chuck said and Chris holds up an invitation "I wish I could hang out with them instead of going to the resort opening" Chris said "I know, but your mother can't make it, so she needs you to go in her place. You won't have to stay long, and after you can join the others at the villa!" Chuck said "That's great!" Chris said and Chuck nods "I can give you a swimming lesson, Sonic" Chris said "Don't bother, he won't go" Brody said "Actually Brody, I wanna go but I don't want you to go" Sonic said and everyone is surprised at Sonic "You don't want me to go?" Brody asks "Yeah" Sonic said "Why?" Brody asks "B-because I um...I mean.. ummm" Sonic said trying to come up with an excuse and Brody looks at him and smiles "Okay, I'll give you a few hours then I'll pick you up" Brody said and runs off "Why didn't you want Brody to come?" Chris asks "Secret" Sonic said "I wonder if we can go for a walk on the beach" Amy said "I'm torturing myself to go to the beach and not to bore myself with a walk" Sonic said "This is my chance to get it since we got here" He said and everyone looks at him confused and Chris hears a car horn from outside, and sees thst it's Ella and Tanaka "Mr. Chris! We have to leave now or you'll be late for the ceremony!" Ella said "Have a great time, Chris" Chuck said "We'll meet up later" Chris said "Okay. Don't be long!" Amy said "See you there!" Turbo said "Chao chao chao!" Cheese said "And don't be nervous, Chris. That opening party will be just fine!" Amy said "Uh, yeah..." Chris said and chuckles nervously. Soon, the X-Tornado is in position to take off. The engines warm up, the wings open, and Chuck presses the button that tilts the trees away from the runway "Next stop: Emerald Coast. Hang on!" Turbo said and the X-Tornado gains speed "Here we go!" Tails said and the X-Tornado takes off and Chuck watches it. Meanwhile, Chris, who is in the car with Ella and Tanaka, sees the X-Tornado flying overhead, and begins wishing he was going with his friends instead of the ceremony "Master Chris, remember that you are representing the Thorndyke family on this trip" Tanaka said "I'll do my best, Mr. Tanaka" Chris said. Meanwhile at a field, Brody is lying in a field among the flowers and he picks one of them.

"My cute cheeky hedgehog is planning something, so I'll let him suprise me" Brody said and sniffs the flower he's holding "Man this is so relaxing, though I miss my cute Sonic snuggling into my fur" Brody said smiling.

*Meanwhile at Emerald Coast*

Amy, Tails, Cream, and Cheese are enjoying themselves in the water, Turbo chuckles as he splashes water at Tails using his tail.

"H-Hey!" Tails said giggling "Come here!" He said "Try and catch me then!" Turbo said swimming away and Tails chases after him both laughing. Amy, having been diving underwater, surfaces "This place is unbelievable!" Amy said "It sure is, Amy! I'm really glad we came!" Turbo said "And we'll have even more fun when Chris gets here" Cream said while Sonic runs by looking around.

*Meanwhile at Thorndyke Villa*

Fireworks burst overhead as guests chat with each other. Chris, who is dressed in a suit, shakes hands with one of many guests who are lined up to see the Thorndykes and Chris yawns "Try to look interested" Tanaka said and Chris snaps out of his yawn and shakes the hand of the next guest.

*Back at Emerald Coast*

As Cheese is playing by the water and Cream, Turbo and Tails are building a sand castle, Sonic is running along the beach "Man, if Brody was here he would want me to go in the water" Sonic said and remembers one time Brody got Sonic in the water though Sonic put on a lot of water gear to stay afloat and even then he cling to Brody being a shivering. Sonic giggles "Brody puts up with my fear of water, he's so sweet. I definitely gotta give him a gift" Sonic said and runs past an unsuspecting E-38 Octoron, which then submerges under the water. Sonic soon hears a nearby conversation "Chad, I made something for you" A woman said "For me?" Chad asks "Yes. It's nothing really, but I want you to have it. It's like a lucky charm" The woman said and Sonic's ears perk up and he sees the woman holds out the lucky charm, which is a bracelet made of seashells "It's a lucky charm, for when you go in the water. It's just like mine" the woman said "Thank you. I'll always wear it and think of you" Chad said "Oh, Chad..." the woman said "Oh, Wendy..." Chad said "Perfect!" Sonic said.

Later, as Cream, Turbo and Cheese build a sand castle, Sonic is sitting in a beach chair, creating a bracelet of his own "It's so annoying doing this slowly. But it'll be worthy to see my handsome wolf's face when he sees this" Sonic said and suddenly Tais appears infront of him "Who's that for Sonic?" Tails asks "Ah! Nobody!" Sonic said "Is that why you told Brody to stay back?" Tails asks "N-No" Sonic said and suddenly everyone is aware of a rumbling in the distance. Black smoke pours up from the villa. Another explosion occurs.

*At the Thorndyke Villa*

The guests scream and run for their lives as Dr. Eggman in his Eggmobile and E-38 Octoron appear "I'm turning the Emerald Coast Resort into my kind of stomping ground!" Eggman said and Octoron punctures a boat with one of its massive tentacles before completely smashing it. Chris stares in shock "All right, time for my deconstruction crew!" Eggman said and an army of E-39 Quizon robots ready their tools of destruction and march single-file onto land and they begin laying waste to everything in their path, making their way to the hotel and they destroy the entire hotel in seconds. Immediately a giant statue of Eggman is erected, along with with other aspects of Eggman's resort "I have to find a way to call Sonic and Brody!" Chris said but several Quizons surround him, Tanaka, and Ella "You're my first guests. Welcome to Eggman's Scream Park, where your first vacation is guaranteed to be your last! Hahaha!" Eggman said and Tanaka steps in front of Chris "Stay back, Chris. I will guard you. As your father's servant, it is my duty to protect you, even if it means sacrificing myself. Now it is time for both of us to face our fate" Tanaka said and strikes a karate stance, but Ella pulls him away "Easy now! Tanaka, you aren't even strong enough to lick a stamp" Ella said "It's true. Right now, our only hope are Sonic and Brody" Chris said.

*Meanwhile at the Thorndyke Manor, living room*

Brody enters the room with several picked flower "Hey!" Brody said but he is surprised to see that no one else is in the room "Oh yeah, they went to that resort" Brody said and looks at the clock "I still got some time before I go pick up Sonic, I hope Amy and the others aren't urging him to go in the water" Brody said and sets the flowers inside a vase "You don't see beautiful flowers like these at the seashore" Brody said "Sonic will love this flowers" He said and Chuck enters the room "So you're finally here, are you?" Chuck asks "Yeah?" Brody said and Chuck turns on the TV "A gang of robot destroyers has been wrecking hotels and resorts all along the Emerald Coast. The situation is growing more dangerous by the hour. Authorities have issued evacuation orders" A news reporter said and suddenly a laughing Eggman appears on the screen and Brody stares in surprise "The owners of the Emerald Coast Resort didn't invite me to their opening, so I knocked it down and turned it into my own vacation destination! It's now... Eggman's Scream Park!" Eggman said and Brody looks behind him to see Bokkun with a bomb "I brought you a personal invitation! Your friend Chris and your boyfriend Sonic are already there. I'm sure Sonic is having a great time! Stop by; we'll have a real blast!" Bokkun said and hands the bomb to Brody, which explodes, blackening Brody's and Chuck's faces. Bokkun flies away laughing as Brody shakes the ashes off "I said  there's time but I have to go now!" Brody said and runs out of the house, and Chuck stands there, blinking in surprise

*Later at Emerald Coast*

Amy is using binoculars to spy on the villa, which is completely destroyed. She sees Eggman in his Eggmobile, shouting orders "It's Eggman!" Amy said and Turbo maneuvers the X-Tornado for takeoff "Out of the way! We've gotta save Chris!" Tails said and suddenly Sonic hops into a seat in the X-Tornado "Sonic?" Tails asks "Brody's gonna show up, but Chris is gonna need help till Brody shows up" Sonic said "Okay. Here we go!" Turbo said and the hatch closes and the X-Tornado takes off "I hope they make it back safely" Cream said to Amy.

*At the Thorndyke Villa*

Eggman is directing the setup of his theme park as the Thorndykes look on "Hahaha! Build faster! Don't use too many nails and bolts, and make sure you water down the cement. I want these rides to be the most dangerous in the universe!" Eggman said and suddenly Brody arrives and knocks down one of the attractions "Well, well" Brody said "Brody!" Chris said "Hiya, Chris. Thought I'd drop by earlier" Brody said and turns to see Eggman and Octoron "You fell right into my trap, Brody. I know Sonic can't swim, so I lured you to the sea so Sonic can't save you! Get him, Octoron!" Eggman said and as Octoron lashes out with two of its tentacles, Brody races forward and laughs as he dodges the tentacles, and when he is about to land a hit on Octoron, he is stopped by a tentacle which begins to wrap around him "You won't get away" Eggman said "Oh yeah? Just watch me!" Brody said and Octoron dunks Brody into the water and he holds his breath trying to escape "Let him go!" Chris said "Heheheh! I'm giving Brody a choice. He can either forfeit the fight, or forfeit his life, cause there's no way Sonic will jump in the water to save him!" Eggman said and Brody struggles for another moment before Octoron finally lifts him out of the water "Well, how do you like the ocean?" Eggman asks and Brody spits out some water he swallowed "It's dee-lightful!" Brody said "Good. Now let's see how long you're able to stay under" Eggman said and Octoron lowers Brody toward the water once more, but he starts running in an attempt to break free "Don't let Brody slip out of your grip, Octoron! Haul that wolf back into the ocean, and don't let him up till he drowns!" Eggman said and Octoron steps down into the water. Brody sees this and tries to break free with all his might "Come on, Octoron! Flex those tentacles!" Eggman said and the X-Tornado arrives "Brody!" Sonic said and opens the hatch "Sonic wait! we are too close above the water!" Tails said but Sonic has already leaped out of the X-Tornado "Let him go Egghead!" Sonic said and spindashes and slams on Octoron's tentacle, severing it. It whips back into Octoron's body, knocking it down into the water "BUT HOW?!" Eggman asks "Leave Brody alone! Now Brody!" Sonic said "Thanks, Sonic!" Brody said and dashes along a section of roller coaster track before jumping off "Hey, Brody!" Turbo said and shoots a ring toward Brody, who grabs it and spindashes through Octoron and bounces around a few times inside it before exiting. Octoron sinks into the water and explodes "Oh no!" Eggman said and Sonic runs over and hugs Brody "Brody! Are you okay? Have you been there too long?" Sonic asks "Whoa! Lighten up, Sonic! A little water isn't gonna take out this wolf" Brody said "You two won this time, but I'm not through!" Eggman said "Yeah, right!" Brody said and Eggman flies away and Brody looks at Sonic smiling.

"What you did was crazy? What if you got thrown in the water?" Brody asks "I wasn't scared" Sonic said and Brody looks at him confused "Even if I fall into water I know you'll be there to save me" Sonic said resting his head on Brody's chest making Brody blush "G-geez and you call me cheesy" Brody said chuckling and the X-Tornado flies by "Everything okay down there?" Tails asks "Yeah Tails! Thanks for the ring Turbo!" Brody said and looks at Brody "Still want me to wait?" Brody asks "Actually" Sonic said and holds out the bracelet he made for him "Brody, this is a bracelet I made for putting up with my fear of water" Sonic said smiling "Aw my love, it's no big deal,  you made this?" Brody asks "Yeah, if you wear it, it will bring you good luck" Sonic said blushing and Brody smiles. There is a pause. Just as Brody is about to take the bracelet, a giant explosion rocks it out of  Sonic's hands and onto the ground not far from them. Sonic stumbles and Brody catches him "You okay?" Brody asks "Your bracelet!" Sonic said and then a large number of Quizons stack on top of each other, forming E-39 Serpenter, and crushing Sonic's bracelet in the process "I can't believe it..." Sonic said and Eggman flies in "Eggman!" Brody said growling "I told you I wasn't through with you two, Brody, didn't I? My Quizons have merged to form Serpenter, and it's ready to strike!" Eggman said "Impressive, isn't it?" He asks "For you, you'll pay for breaking that bracelet" Brody said "You'll need more than speed to survive this robot, Brody!" Eggman said "Really? Yo, fang face! Let's see how quickly you can slither!" Brody said and leaps away "After him, Serpenter! Get rid of that yellow bozo first!" Eggman said "Catch me if you can slowpoke!" Brody said and Sonic gathers the broken pieces of the bracelet "My bracelet..." Sonic and bites his lip trying not to cry. Sonic growls gripping the broken pieces "All right, Serpenter, you know what to do! Put the squeeze on Brody and then toss him out to sea!" Eggman said and Sonic glares at Eggman "That's it! You'll pay for this Eggman!" Sonic said and runs past Brody suprising him and Sonic charges toward Serpenter "Don't mess with me!" Sonic said and in a move that surprises both Brody and Eggman, Sonic starts spindashing at Serpenter's tail "Sonic..." Brody said "Oh my..." Eggman said and Serpenter turns toward Sonic "You just had to stomp on my bracelet!" Sonic said and starts spindashing and kicking segment after segment off of Serpenter and Eggman gulps "Oh no... Perhaps I'd better... go..." Eggman said and with all the segments gone, Sonic repeatedly strikes Serpenter's head and Serpenter's head springs up, sending Sonic high into the air and heads toward the Eggmobile and with all his might, spindashes into the Eggmobile, sending it into the ocean. As it surfaces, Eggman looks up in terror to see Sonic spinning down at him "W-wait, you'll sink into the water Sonic!" Eggman said "I don't care! You're sinking too!" Sonic said and Brody watches from the shore as water billows upward "Sonic! That idiot!" Brody said worried and takes a deep breath and dives into the water "Brody!" Tails, Turbo and Chris said but Brody doesn't listen. He swims toward Sonic, who is clutching the bracelet. He briefly opens his eyes 'Brody....I told you, I knew you'd save me...I'm not scared of water as long as you're with me, my wolf....' Sonic thinks closing his eyes as he slips out of consciousness. He dreams of himself and Brody running together on the beach and Brody stops "Wake up, Sonic" Brody said in Tails' voice.

Sonic wakes up. It is now sunset, and he is back in the beach chair and Tails is with him "Sonic! You're awake!" Tails said relieved "Where am I?" Sonic asks "You're back at Chris' villa. They brought you here after Brody pulled out of the water" Tails said and Sonic sits up and looks around "Who brought me?" Sonic asks "Brody. He urged us to come here fast" Tails said "And is Brody okay?" Sonic asks "Yes, but he went back home" Tails said and Sonic looks down at his hand to see the bracelet is no longer there "The bracelet's gone... I made it just for him, and now it's gone..." Sonic said "Actually, Brody repaired it" Tails said "Really?!" Sonic asks "Yeah... well with what was left that is. He also said he loves it" Tails said and Sonic smiles and looks up with new resolve "It was a good luck bracelet, but I guess Brody had good luck anyway" Sonic said "I think Brody's very lucky" Tails said and the two watch Chris, Turbo, Amy and Cheese playing on the beach.

Elsewhere, Brody is sitting on a rock, looking out at the ocean with a smile and sneezes "Geez, I shouldn't be in the water for so long" Brody said and looks at the bracelet Sonic made for him on his arm "But it was worth the wait" Brody said standing up as this chapter comes to an end.
