Third Person's POV

Previously a case of mistaken identity set our speedy heroes on the run. Their trouble doubled when a robber ripped off an Emerald, and cameras showed a hedgehog and a wolf making the heist. As the Project Shadow Bolt investigation continued, Sonic and Brody made a shocking discovery. Sonic, Brody, Bolt and Shadow went head-to-head in a brutal battle with a chaotic finish. Trapped by government forces, Sonic and Brody surrendered and were taken to Prison Island. Will their friends find a way to free them? Or will Sonic and Brody be locked away forever? Find out today.

We start in Prison Island as Sonic and Brody are seen relaxing in their cell. Security official Howard Watcher narrates as several images of the island are shown on monitors, showcasing the various security gadgets "Sonic and Brody's in the underwater isolation cell. It's impossible to escape from there, and even if they could, where are they gonna go once they break out? Prison Island is surrounded by the sea. There's no land for miles, and everybody knows Sonic ain't no swimmer. We got guards keepin' lookout in the towers twenty-four hours a day, and the laser alarms will go off the second they detect the slightest movement. The entire prison is wired with surveillance cameras, metal detectors, and sound monitors. Not even a fly could escape from here! This place was built to hold the toughest crooks in the world, but in all the years that Prison Island's been in business, there hasn't been one single colitary breakout! Hope Sonic and Brody like it here, 'cause they ain't leavin'!" Howard said and laughs, then points to the image of Sonic and Brody on the screen "Don't think of pullin' any funny stuff while I'm on duty, 'cause I got my eye on you, Sonic and Brody!" Howard said and laughs again 'I'm sure Sonic and Brody are innocent, but there's nothing I can do to help them' A security guard thinks. "Oh well. If We can't get outta here, We might as well kick back and relax" Sonic said and Brody nods.

On Tanaka's boat, "We are still quite far from Prison Island, but we can't take this motorboat any closer because of their radar. Their security systems are so advanced that they would spot us long before we reach the coast, and if they do detect us, they well send out armed boats to intercept and arrest us" Tanaka said "So, what are we gonna do?" Chris asks "Luckily, I've thought of a way to thwart their system. It is high-tech, so we will fool it using my low-tech solution" Tanaka said and his glasses shine. The boat deploys a swan boat "They'll be looking for motorboats, so this paddle boat will let us duck under their radar" Tanaka said "Hm..." Chris said and they board the swan boat and begin pedaling "I don't know about this, Mr. Tanaka. I feel kinda goofy" Chris said "We can make it. We just have to paddle faster" Tanaka said and they pedal with all their might toward Prison Island.

Inside Prison Island, two security guards detect the swan boat moving erratically toward them "Sir, somebody is heading toward the island" Security guard 1 said "Really?" Security guard 2 asks "It looks like a giant... duck, sir" Security guard 1 said "That's no bird. It's a boat. Somebody's trying to sneak onto the island. They think they've fooled us, but I'll make sure they're sunk before they reach land" Security guard 2 said "Do you really think a paddle boat poses that much of a threat?" Security guard 1 asks "Who knows? It's better to destroy 'em first and ask questions later" Security guard 2 said.

Meanwhile outside Prison Island, Eggman arrives in his Eggmobile and laughs and presses a button which disrupts the TV screens' signals, turning them to static "What? Whoa, what? Sound the alarm! We can't, sir The system's going haywire! Call the cell blocks! They're jamming our communications! It's an attack!" The security guards said and Eggman laughs a victory laugh. In Eggman's Base, "He did it! He's back on Prison Island!" Decoe said "Dr. Eggman rules!" Bocoe said "All right!" They said and high five.

In Prison Island forest, Eggman is hovering idle with his hands clasped behind his head "I wonder if I'm pushing my luck, breaking into the place a second time" Eggman said and his communicator screen activates "Perhaps. The security on the island has been upgraded since your last visit. You must be careful. When they restore communications, they will send robots to stop your team" Decoe said "Their robotic designs are greatly improved. With their new defenses, it will be almost impossible to enter that compound again" Bocoe said "Well, nothing is going to stop me from breaking in and taking those Chaos Emeralds. Shadow and Bolt said I need to obtain all seven Emeralds in order the Eclipse Cannon" Eggman said "But are you sure it's worth the risk, Doctor?" Decoe asks and Eggman grins 'Once I get that cannon working, I'll be unstoppable!' Eggman thinks and Rouge, Bolt and Shadow arrive "Okay, Eggy, fill me in" Rouge said "According to Rouge, the Chaos Emeralds are stored in a vault inside the compound. I must have them" Eggman said "No prob. Just leave it to me" Rouge said "Do not trust her!" Decoe said "She wants it for herself!" Bocoe said and Eggman shuts off the screen "They get on my nerves. Let's get down to the nitty-gritty, shall we? In the first phase of my plan, I'll go around the island wreaking havoc and drawing the guards from their posts, clearing th way for you three to enter the compound. Then, Shadow and Bolt move in. They'll blow up the whole island by sneaking into the weapons center and setting off all the ammunition stored there with this miniature detonation device" Eggman said and tosses a time bomb to Shadow, who nods along Bolt "Meanwhile, Rouge will proceed to the warehouse where the Chaos Emeralds are locked away and remove them. We will then meet up at the rendezvous point and make our escape. We have exactly thirty minutes. If you run into trouble, you're on your own" Eggman said and Shadow, Bolt and Rouge nod "Let's go!" Eggman said and the four take off. Soon Eggman fires several missiles at the facility. Various GUN robots emerge to attack Eggman, but he nimbly dodges their attacks and fires back in return "Peekaboo!" Eggman said and the X-Tornado flies into the vicinity "What's going on?" Turbo asks "It looks like somebody's fighting" Amy said "We'd better get down there and find Soni and Brody!" Tails said and the X-Tornado lands near Rouge, Bolt and Shadow, and Amy throws herself at Shadow, thinking he is Sonic "Oh, Sonic! What a relief! I came her to rescue you, but you escaped all by yourself! ... Sonic?" Amy asks realizing her mistake, and also seeing a smirking Rouge nearby and a glaring Bolt with his arms crossed, Amy cries out and lets go of Shadow  "You're not Sonic! Who are you?" Amy asks and the Eggmobile hovers in front of her "None of your business. Now get lost" Eggman said "Dr. Eggman!" Amy said and Turbo and Tails are equally as surprised "Shadow, Bolt and Rouge, I'll handle this. You go on ahead" Eggman said and blows a hole in the door with a missile, and Rouge, Bolt and Shadow enter the facility. Then he bears down on Amy, who takes a few steps back "I'll take care of you..." Eggman said "Keep away!" Amy said "Amy!" Turbo and Tails said and they quickly convert the X-Cyclone to the X-Tornado and chase Eggman into the sky "We can't rescue Sonic and Brody 'til We get Dr. Eggman out of the way" Tails said "This will send Tails and Turbo into a tailspin!" Eggman said and fires lasers and rockets at Tails, but he dodges them. Then Eggman finds himself at the front of the X-Tornado, trying to keep one step ahead of the craft. On the ground, Amy recalls the hedgehog and wolf she just met "They look almost exactly like Sonic and Brody. I wonder what they're doing here?" Amy asks and enters the facility "Sonic and Brody, where are you?" Amy asks.

Inside Prison Island, an alarm sounds as Shadow and Bolt search for the ammunition warehouse as Eggman ordered. Elsewhere, Rouge flies around searching for Chaos Emeralds, even nimbly crossing a laser field and locates the red Chaos Emerald "I can feel those Emeralds here. All I have to do is break into the vault and help myself" Rouge said and locates the keypad "Ah. Cracking the code will be a cinch" Rouge said and after pressing a few buttons on the keypad, the door opens, granting Rouge access to the Chaos Emerald.

Outside Prison Island, Tanaka and Chris, having disembarked from the swan boat, are scaling the steep cliff. Suddenly there is an explosion above them as Tails, Turbo and Eggman exchange fire "Take this! ... They'll see. Tails and Turbo can't outfox me!" Eggman said and his communicator screen activates "Hey, Dr. Eggman! Forget them! You have more important things to do!" Decoe said "Stay focused!" Bocoe said "I'll have to crush Tails and Turbo another day" Eggman said and stops right in front of Tails and Turbo, forcing them to stop in midair "Now look, Tails and Turbo. Just because I'm leaving doesn't mean you two win. This only a time out, you hear me?! A time out!" Eggman said and flies away. Tails and Turbo blink in surprise before landing in their original position in front of the hole the missile explosion made. They open the cockpit and look around "Amy! ... Where'd she go?" Turbo asks. It is revealed that Eggman never really left, as he flies back onto the island "I have to see what Shadow, Bolt and Rouge are up to" Eggman said. Meanwhile, Chris is now scaling the cliff alone. A flashback of last night comes to him "Don't worry. We'll be out before you know it, buddy" Brody said. "Sonic... Brody...." Chris said.

Meanwhile Inside Prison Island, it is revealed that Rouge has collected both the red and cyan Chaos Emeralds, and Shadow and Bolt have installed the time bomb, which is labeled Eggman Bombom "Doctor, the detonator is ready to go, but We need to know how long to set the timer for" Bolt said on radio "Good work, Bolt. You can tell Shadow to set the detonator to go off at exactly fifteen minutes. Will that be enough time for you, Rouge?" Eggman asks over radio "I can be out of here in five minutes easy" Rouge said on radio "All right, then. Set the detonator for ten minutes" Eggman said over radio "Right, Doctor" Bolt said on radio and nods at Shadow who nods back and sets the bomb for ten minutes and the two leave.

At Sonic and Brody's cell, Sonic and Brody look up in surprise to see Amy in the distance. A tube extends from the facility to Sonic and Brody's cell, bring Amy with it. Soon she is right outside his cell "Bet you two are surprised to see me! I rushed here to rescue you from this awful island. You ready?" Amy asks.

"Intruder alert! Intruder alert!" The intercom said and the facility goes on lockdown, shutting all its doors "Gold Beetle, go bonk those bozos!" The intercom said and several new-and-improved GUN Beetles teleport away "Flying Dog, sniff 'em out!" The intercom said and the robot called Flying Dog moves out "Flying Dog is the ultimate security robot, specially designed to fetch any trespasser. Flying Dog will keep hounding its prey until it's cornered, and then it pounces, decimating its foe with rabid ferocity!" Howard said snickering "Not every trespasser is dangerous, you know" A security guard said "My motto is "Take no prisoners; we have too many inmates here already."" Howard said and laughs.

Back in Sonic and Brody's cell, Amy draws her Piko Piko Hammer "I'll open your cell now. You'd better stand back, Sonic and Brody; I wouldn't want you to get injured" Amy said "I don't know, Amy. These bars are pretty strong" Sonic said "Well, I happen to be pretty and strong too" Amy said and a Gold Beetle materializes behind Amy "Amy! Look out!" Brody said and Amy turns around and hammers the robot to pieces "Don't you know it's rude to show up someplace uninvited?! And don't bother me when I'm trying to rescue Sonic and Brody!" Amy said "Amy, than was great!" Sonic and Brody said "Now I'm gonna bash down the bars of your cell, Sonic and Brody" Amy said "No, Amy! You can't do that!" Sonic said "Don't worry, Sonic and Brody" Amy said "But Amy, We let them drag me to Prison Island on purpose so that We could learn something about our lookalikes" Brody said and Sonic nodded "Your lookalikes?" Amy asks and recalls Shadow and Bolt "You mean the black hedgehog and the white wolf?" Amy asks "Did you see them? Do you know where they are now, Amy?" Sonic asks "You really want to know?" Amy asks "Yes, We do. Oh step back" Sonic said "Why?" Amy asks "We'll break the door ourselves and go after them!" Brody said "Okay listen to this. When Tails, Turbo and I landed here, we saw a red and black hedgehog and a red and white wolf near the entrance being ordered around by Eggman" Amy said "So Eggman's behind this again" Sonic said arms crossed and Amy notices the markings in the wall "What's all this math about?" Amy asks "Don't know. That was there before. Watch out, here We come!" Sonic said and they break out of their cell "We're gonna need you to help hammer your way out of this prison, Amy" Brody said "Let's go!" Amy said. Three hits is all it takes for Amy to bring down the door "Not bad, Amy" Sonic and Brody said and Amy smiles. Howard Watcher has detected the breakout "Sonic and Brody are out!" Howard said and an alarm sounds through the base.

Back outside, Chris, who is still on the cliff, hears the alarm "Now what?" Chris asks but he remembers something Tanaka told him earlier "It is too dangerous. You stay here and I will find Sonic and Brody" Tanaka said "I'm sorry, Tanaka. I'm worried about Sonic and Brody!" Chris said and continues scaling the cliff. Meanwhile, Sonic, Brody and Amy run outside through the hole, where they meet Tanaka, Turbo and Tails "I'm relieved to see you're safe, Sonic and Brody, and Mr. Chris will be too. Shall we go?" Tanaka asks bowing "Hi Tanaka! Long time no see! How's everything going with Chris?" Amy asks "Can't we catch up on how are friends are doing later, Amy?" Tails asks "He's right. You guys get moving. Brody and I still have to track down our lookalikes" Sonic said "Wait a minute, Sonic and Brody!" Amy said but Sonic and Brody already leap out of sight.

Back inside, Rouge has uncovered a third Chaos Emerald, the purple one "Lovely..." Rouge said. Suddenly the Flying Dog appears in the doorway "Hello there. I hope you didn't come to get my Emeralds back" Rouge said "Intruder located. Security units proceed to level 5. Prepare to attack" The flying dog pilot said and Rouge starts to flee "Hold it" The Flying Dog pilot said and Rouge dodges the lasers the Flying Dog fires, then avoids its missile. She then rebounds off a wall and destroys one of its missile launchers. The time bomb is at 5:13 and counting. Outside, Brody sees Shadow and Bolt fleeing in the forest below.

"Over there!" Brody said and he and Sonic jump and land in front of them "Shadow and Bolt, this is it. We want answers. Who are you, and what are you two up to?" Sonic asks and Shadow and Bolt smirk "You'll find out" Shadow and Bolt said and they clash several times. Sonic even manages to land a hit on Shadow and Brody lands a hit on Bolt.

Back Inside, Rouge finally destroys the Flying Dog, but the door closes, preventing her from escaping "And just when things were going so well..." Rouge said and the time bomb is now at three minutes and counting "Red alert! An explosive device has been detected in the security area! Begin emergency evacuation immediately!" The intercom said.

Back outside, Tanaka is now at the bottom of the cliff near the swan boat, but Chris is nowhere to be seen "Mister Chris! Where are you?" Tanaka asks and then returns to the top of the cliff "He's gone! He must be on the island somewhere!" Tanaka said and Amy, Turbo and Tails gasp "I must go and find Mr. Chris fast! Mr. Chris!!" Tanaka said running off and Amy, Turbo and Tails follow him.

In the forest, Sonic and Shadow are still fighting separated from the fight of Brody and Bolt. Bolt's wrist communicator activates "Come in, Bolt. Bolt, do you read me? I have a little problem on my hand" Rouge said over radio. Inside, Rouge is slumped against the door "I'm sort of locked inside the vault with the Chaos Emeralds. There's no way to open it from in here, so I'm stuck" Rouge said "Shadow and I can't talk. We have to go now!" Bolt said over radio "You mean... you won't help me?" Rouge asks and the sound of Bolt's fighting comes from the other end of the radio "Not right at this second, no" Bolt said over radio "You can't leave me. Remember, I have the Emeralds" Rouge said on radio. "We're busy right now!" Bolt said and is bashed by Brody, and Bolt returns the blow, the same was happening with Sonic and Shadow's fight. "It was stupid of me to think that I could rely on them!" Rouge said and tries to break down the door, but to no avail.

As the Prison Island staff evacuate, Chris runs through the forest searching for Sonic and Brody "Sonic... Brody..." Chris said. Back inside, Rouge sighs "I'm finished, and worse than that, I'm losing three Emeralds, too..." Rouge said. In the forest, " Shadow, come in now! Shadow! Ughh! Bolt! come in!" Eggman said on radio but Sonic and Shadow are still fighting as well as Brody and Bolt.

Then Bolt's wrist communicator activates "Bolt, where are you and Shadow? The detonator will go off any second! You two have to get off the island now or you're going to be blown sky-high! Do you read me?" Eggman asks over radio "The island is gonna blow up?!" Brody asks shocked "I'm not waiting for you, Shadow and Rouge any longer. You three are on your own" Eggman said and Bolt runs and pushes Brody aside and grabs Shadow running and Brody runs and grabbing Sonic going a different direction "Brody? What's going on?" Sonic asks "This place is gonna blow up!" Brody said "What?!" Sonic asks shocked "We need to get everyone out of here!" Brody said. Meanwhile, Bolt caught Shadow on the situation and the two watch Eggman fly over the clearing. Just then Chris sees Shadow and Bolt, and thinks they are Sonic and Brody "I found them! It's Sonic and Brody!" Chris said but quickly stops 'Those are not Sonic and Brody...' Chris thinks and Shadow and Bolt see a vision of Maria "Maria..." They said to themselves.

Inside Prison Island, "When I found three Emeralds, I thought this was my lucky day..." Rouge said "Rouge, this is Shadow and Bolt. Come in" Shadow said over radio "I'm here" Rouge said on radio "Do you still have the Chaos Emeralds?" Bolt asks over radio "Of course I still have them" Rouge said on radio "We'll be right there to pick them up" Shadow said over radio "They're coming for the Chaos Emeralds, but what about me?" Rouge asks.

Back in the forest, Chris is shocked at what Shadow and Bolt say next "Dr. Eggman, We're going back in to pick up the Chaos Emeralds for you" Bolt said on radio as only one minute remains until the bomb explodes "Shadow, Bolt, promise me..." They hear Maria in their heads "Yes, Maria. You will be avenged!" Shadow and Bolt said to themselves "Chaos Control!" Shadow said holding hands with Bolt and Chris runs toward Shadow and Bolt 'Shadow and Bolt! They're the ones they want! Now I can prove Sonic and Brody are innocent!' Chris thinks when Tanaka arrives on scene "Chris, waaiit!!" Tanaka said and Chris grabs Shadow and Bolt the moment Shadow uses Chaos Control, causing the three of them to disappear "Chris?" Tanaka asks and falls to his knees "He is gone..." Tanaka said and as he begins to break down, Sonic and Brody grab him and carry him to safety.

Inside Prison Island, Shadow, Bolt and Chris appear inside the vault "Shadow! Bolt!" Rouge said and Shadow shoves Chris aside and Bolt takes the Chaos Emeralds from Rouge "Oh, what the...?" Rouge asks. Only ten seconds remain until the bomb explodes "Let's go!" Bolt said "Hey, hold it, Bolt and Shadow. You're not gonna leave this kid behind" Rouge said "We don't care what happens to him" Bolt and Shadow said "Hold on! My friends got arrested 'cause of you. They're still here. We have to get them off the island. ... Please, will you help me? I have to rescue Sonic and Brody somehow? They would rescue you if it was the other way around. You have to help them please!" Chris said and In Shadow and Bolt's minds, the image of Chris changes to Maria "Please, Shadow... Bolt..." Maria said 'Maria....' Shadow and Bolt think and Bolt uses Chaos Control seconds before the island explodes in a violent fiery eruption, taking Rouge, Shadow and Chris with him. The explosion even rears up a small tsunami. It is now dusk, and Eggman watches from a distance before he flies away. The X-Tornado escapes safely "Mister Chris... Oh... Mister Chris!!" Tanaka said.
