Third Person's POV

We start in the Thorndyke mansion in Chris' room as Chris is speaking to Cream and Cheese "Understand, Cream? Stay here with Cheese and make sure you're not seen" Chris said "Okay!" Cream said "Chao!" Cheese said "I'll see you later" Chris said and as he leaves the room, Cream and Cheese look sad. They sigh and head out onto the balcony "I don't want to stay inside. I want to go outside and play" Cream said and what she saw next excited her.

*At Chuck's lab*

Sonic, Brody, Amy, Turbo and Tails are gathered in the workshop. Suddenly the sound of Cream enjoying herself can be heard and Amy walks over to the window "I wonder what Cream and Cheese are doing?" Amy asks and Tails and Turbo join her as they can see Cream down on the ground among the flowers "I wonder what she's doing out there, Amy" Turbo said "I bet Cream's out there gathering some flowers" Amy said as Sonic and Brody are resting on Chuck's chair with their eyes closed, opens their eyes "She knows we're supposed to stay inside while Chris is at school. What's so important about going outside to get flowers?" Tails asks and Turbo and Tails remember back on Mobius Cream making a crown made of flowers for her mom "I guess she misses her mom" Turbo said "Of course she does. I just wish... I just wish we could do something to cheer her up" Amy said while Sonic and Brody look over to a poster on the wall. It is of Peace Park, which depicts a lake surrounded by flowers and the two look at each other and nod as Brody grabs the poster and the two exit through the trapdoor and Tails, Turbo and Amy turn around "Sonic? Brody?" Amy asks.

*Later at the dining room*

Chris is sitting at the table, with several poorly-cooked dishes in front of him. Lindsey arrives bringing in burnt pancakes "I'm usually not at home because of work, so I should do motherly things when I can. The pancakes are ready. Eat up!" Lindsey said and sets the pancakes down in front of him. Chris picks one of them up, and it crumbles in his hand. He sighs and Ella enters "Oh my! I smell something burning! Oh!" Ella said and heads to the table to look at Lindsey's cooking "Oh, Ella, it's so good to be home again. I have an idea. Let's have a big party!" Lindsey said "Party?" Chris asks and unaware to them Cream and Cheese are watching them "Yes, a dinner party tonight. We can all dress up! I'm sure Ella can prepare something absolutely scrumptious" Lindsey said "A party's a great idea! And do you think you can invite your brother Sam to come over since he's my favorite uncle?" Chris asks and Lindsey hugs Chris "Of course, darling! You can have anything you want! Anything at all for my adorable baby boy!" Lindsey said "If we're having a party tonight, this calls for heavy-duty cleaning. Time to clear some clutter!" Ella said giggling and she runs out of the room "Wow, a party! This is great! I love parties!" Cream said "Chao chao!" Cheese said.

*Later at Chris' school*

The students have their textbooks out and Chris is once again sitting with Danny and Frances "A party?" Danny asks "Yeah! My mom want us to have fun while she's home. My uncle's coming for the party, too" Chris said "The racer?" Frances asks "Yeah, he's the coolest, and the leader of the S-Team" Chris said and Mr. Stewart, who had been silently listening to the conversation, walks away.

*Back at Chris' room*

Cream is sitting on the edge of Chris' bed, counting her flowers "This crown doesn't have enough flowers. I'd better pick more" Cream said "Chao!" Cheese said and the two leave the room and head down the stairs and they stop when they see Lindsey hanging garland in the living room "Maybe I can help decorate for the party" Cream said.

*Back at Chris' school*

School is out, and the students are chatting in the halls and waving goodbye to the student, Chris retrieves his backpack from the locker "Hey, Chris" Stewart saidand Chris looks at him "I haven't been teaching here long, but I just wanted to say thanks. I'm really lucky to have so many intelligent and talented kids in my class" Stewart said "Uh..." Chris said "Kids are terrific, and I want to know all of you better. So, I'm coming to visit you and your family later today!" Stewart said and Chris becomes anxious "I'll see you at 4:00 today" Stewart said and leaves "Aah!" Chris said.

*Meanwhile at a mountain*

Brody, who is standing on one of the peaks, takes a look at the image of Peace Park.

"Are we there yet?" Sonic asks "We should be, come on love" Brody said and the two take off through the rugged peaks.

*Later at the Thorndyke mansion*

Tanaka is taking care of the plants when Chris bursts through the front doors "Hey! I'm home!" Chris said "How was school today, Master Christopher?" Tanaka asks "It was pretty good, Mr. Tanaka" Chris said and Lindsey runs in and hugs Chris and Tanaka leaves "Oh Chris, darling, you're home!" Lindsey said "I... I hope it's okay, but my teacher Mr. Stewart's coming over today to visit. And it sounds like he's a really big fan of your movies, Mom!" Chris said "That reminds me, what am I going to wear? I should have had the studio send over a gown!" Lindsey said and Chuck comes down the stairs and he is wearing a tuxedo "I feel sorry for dogs. How do they stand it? This collar's killing me!" Chuck said "How come you're wearing those clothes, Grandpa?" Chris asks "Mr. Tanaka said I couldn't wear my lab coat to the party. I don't see why not" Chuck said "Hey Grandpa, when you see Sonic, Brody and the others, could you ask them to please stay out of sight 'til Mr. Stewart and my uncle go away?" Chris asks "I know that Amy, Turbo and Tails are up in my room, but I haven't seen Sonic, Brody and Cream and Cheese all day" Chuck said and to their shock, Chris and Chuck see Cream and Cheese hanging garland in the living room "It's Cream and Cheese!" Chris said and Lindsey walks in "Is something wrong?" Lindsey asks and Chris and Chuck try to act casual "Aah! No! No! Nothing to see here!!" Chris said "Uh, what's the matter with you two?" Lindsey asks and Chris turns Lindsey away from them "Uh, everything's okay here, Mom! You'd better hurry up and get ready! Ma and Grandpa will take care of the rest of the decorating for tonight's party!" Chris said "But there's plenty of time" Lindsey said "Yeah, but you know how time flies when you're putting on your makeup! Right, Grandpa?" Chris asks "Ahh... Yes! And don't forget all of the food that has to be prepared too!" Chuck said "Oh... Well, I'll go see how Ella's doing in the kitchen" Lindsey said and leaves, and Chris and Chuck breathe a sigh of relief. Chris rushed into the living room, where Cream is standing on the back of the couch, hanging decorations "What are you two doing here, Cream?!" Chris asks and just then Ella enters with a basket of laundry, and Chris grabs Cream and Cheese and hides them behind the couch and Ella sees the decorations that Cream had been hanging "Mrs. Thorndyke decorates like a little kid" Ella said and leaves "Cream, I asked you to stay upstairs so nobody would see you" Chris said "That room is boring, and we only wanted to help you get ready for the party" Cream said "Master Chris understands" Tanaka said and Chris looks up in horror to see that Tanaka has discovered Cream "It is very thoughtful of you to help us get ready, Cream" Tanaka said "Mr. Tanaka, you know about these guys?" Chris asks "Of course" Tanaka said "You knew all along! Do you think you can help me and Grandpa keep this a secret for right now?" Chris asks "I will" Tanaka said "Ahh... Thanks a lot" Chris said and looks to see that Cream and Cheese are gone "Hold on! They're gone!" Chris said. Back at the mountains, Brody takes another look at the map as he runs guiding Sonic.

*Back at the mansion*

Chris enters one of the rooms "Cream! Cheese! ... I wonder where they wandered off to?" Chris asks. In the kitchen, Ella is mixing batter for a cake "Ella! Ella!" Lindsey calls "Oh...what?" Ella asks and turns off the mixer "I can't find my green Versace! You didn't send it to the cleaners, did you?" Lindsey asks "Oh no; it should be there!" Ella said "It's not here!" Lindsey said "I'm on my way" Ella said and puts down the mixer and leaves. Cream and Cheese enter the kitchen, and Cream climbs onto the stool places in front of a table loaded with food "Wow, look at all that food! It smells so good!" Cream said "Chao!" Cheese said and then Cream notices the blender, and Cheese flies over to the mixer "We can help, Cheese" Cream said and they both press the buttons that activates them, and, as the mixer and blender spew their contents around the kitchen, Cream and Cheese flee "Oh no!" Cream said as she leaves and Ella reenters. Elsewhere, Chris is searching another room "Hey Cream, are you--" Chris said when he suddenly heard the sound of the rogue blender and mixer, as well as Ella's screams, and runs in the direction of the kitchen "Cream! Cheese!" Chris said. Chris enters the kitchen to see that the kitchen utensils have soaked Ella in their contents. He runs over to her "Ella! Hey, are you okay?" Chris asks "My dinner is a disaster..." Ella said.

*Back at the mountains*

Sonic and Brody are standing at the top of a waterfall, which is on one side of a canyon and the duo whistles "This is cool!" Sonic and Brody said as a decaying bridge spanning the canyon lies in front of them. They dash across the bridge, causing several boards to fall off of it into the river below.

*Meanwhile in the mansion at Lindsey's room*

Lindsey has her dress on, and is finishing putting her earrings in "This should do, at least for my entrance" Lindsey said and her phone rings "Interruptions. ... Hello? ..." Lindsey asks and gasps "What's that? The starring role? ..." Lindsey asks standing up "I'll catch the next plane! ... Oh... Actually, I'm having a little party for my son tonight. I'm afraid I will have to leave tomorrow morning" She said and Cream and Cheese appear in the doorway and listen in on the conversation "Oh, I didn't realize. We have to shoot on location first thing tomorrow morning. ... I know, you can't put a hundred-million-dollar production on hold for a party. I'll leave immediately. Goodbye" Lindsey said and with a glum expression, she hangs up "Why does it always have to happen this way? I don't even have time to spend with my little boy! I may be a great actress, but I'm the worst mother. Please forgive me, Christopher!" Lindsey said and starts sobbing and Cream becomes concerned.

*Back at the mountains*

Sonic and Brody zip over to a nearby ledge and below them is Peace Park "We found it!" Sonic and Brody said as they speed down the mountain toward the flower-surrounded lake and Brody picks up one of the flowers and he takes in its aroma.

"Should we settle with one bouquet?" Sonic asks "Nah let's make two bouquets, Cream will be really happy" Brody said.

*Meanwhile at the mansion's Living room*

Chris is still searching for Cream and Cheese "Cream, where are you? Hey, Cheese!" Chris said and then has a thought "Ah! Maybe they went back to the lab with Grandpa!" Chris said and leaves the house en route to the lab "Chris! ... Oh, the poor boy... Oh dear..." Ella said. Outside, Tanaka is loading Lindsey's luggage into the trunk of her car. As he closes the door, Ella steps outside to speak with Lindsey "Ma'am, I looked all over, but I'm afraid I couldn't find Chris anywhere" Ella said and Lindsey takes Ella's hand in hers "Ella, please tell Christopher how sorry I am, and apologize to Mr. Stewart and my brother" Lindsey said "They'll understand. You take tare, Mrs. Thorndyke" Ella said "Call me if Chris needs anything" Lindsey said "Certainly, Mrs. Thorndyke" Tanaka said and Lindsey climbs into her car and leaves.

*Meanwhile at Chuck's lab*

Chris runs inside the garage and enters the lab "Cream! Cheese!" Chris said but Amy, Chuck, Turbo and Tails look at him blankly "What? They're not here?" Chris asks "Weren't they with you?" Chuck asks "They're wandering around someplace, and Mr. Stewart's gonna be here any minute now! What am I gonna do if he sees them?!" Chris asks frustrated "Stay calm. Let's all split up, and each one of us will search a different part of the house until we find them" Chuck said "Okay!" Amy, Tails and Turbo said.

*Meanwhile*

Lindsey's car makes a left at an intersection. A moment later, Mr. Stewart's small green car drives by in the opposite direction. There is a bouquet of roses in the back seat. Mr. Stewart holds up a tiny device.

*Later at the Throndyke mansion*

Mr. Stewart arrives at the house, gets out of the car with the roses, and rings the doorbell and Tanaka answers "I'm Chris' homeroom teacher Mr. Stewart" Stewart said "Welcome, sir. We've been expecting you" Tanaka said and Chris appears in the doorway "Hi! Come in!" Chris said "How are you, Chris?" Stewart asks. Ella and Chris guide Mr. Stewart into the living room "Sit down" Ella said but Stewart has caught sight of the decorations that Cream had hung "Do you like it? Mrs. Thorndyke is not only a great actress, but an artist too!" Ella said and laughs while Chris blushes "Well, it's great. I can't wait to meet Chris' mother and give her my compliments" Stewart said and Chris sits down "'m very sorry, Mr. Stewart, but just before you arrived, she was offered an important movie part and she had to leave right away to start filming" Ella said "Aah! No way!" Chris said "Oh, well that is too bad. I was really looking forward to meeting her in person. Hm... I guess I'll offer these to you then" Stewart said and holds out the bouquet to Ella "Ah, why thank you, Mr. Stewart! What beautiful roses!" Ella said and accepts the bouquet, and Mr. Stewart sits down next to Chris "I'll put them in some--" Ella said and is about to leave when there is a crashing sound. Amy, Turbo and Tails, who are safely hidden in separate hiding places, hear the sound as well and Turbo peaks out from his hiding place.

"Hello? Cream?" Turbo asks "What was that?" Ella asks and as the sound has come from outside, Ella walks to the window, while Mr. Stewart walks over to a modern painting and fishes out his tiny device. Ella sees that Chuck has fallen among several potted plants. He stands up "Haha, sorry, Ella. I was just leaning out the window, and I fell out and knocked the pots down" Chuck said "I don't know what you think you're up to, but you'd better be on your best behavior because Chris' teacher is here" Ella said "Oh! I'd better come in and say hi" Chuck said and climbs in through the window "Oh, sir, why can't you just use the front door like everybody else!" Ella said "One way in is as good as another" Chuck said and suddenly Chris lets out a cry when he sees Cream's little legs protruding under the curtain... right behind Ella! Chuck and Ella turn to Chris "What's the matter, Chris? Why did you scream?" Ella asks and Chris sits back down on the couch "Uh... uh... It's nothing!" Chris said while Stewart continues to "admire the painting" as if nothing happened "Oh my, this certainly is an extraordinary painting" Stewart said and Cream sees Sonic and Brody leaping into a tree in front of her. They signals that they got the flowers before jumping off the branch "Thanks, Sonic and Brody" Cream said and much to everyone's shock, Cream walks out into the middle of the room, completely oblivious to everyone's presence. Chris is greatly concerned, Ella is surprised, and Chuck facepalms "That's right; Sonic and Brody went out and picked a whole bunch of pretty flowers just for me" Cream said and Ella picks her up "You can have some too if you want" Cream said "No... I can't... Is this little animal talking?" Ella asks "Talking animals, what a joke!" Chuck said and Tanaka enters "Yes, that's some joke" Tanaka said while Stewart is ignoring them "Love this painting" Stewart said "Thanks for finding my stuffed animal toy for me, Ella. Can I have it back now?" Chris asks and takes Cream from Ella "Toy? Look, I heard that thing talking and nobody's going to convince me otherwise!" Ella said "Pretend you're a toy" Chris whispers to Cream "If this is some kind of joke you're playing, then you'd better quit before I do!" Ella said "Hey, hey!" Sam said walking into the room "Haha! Hey, where's the party?" Sam asks "Uncle Sam! This is my teacher Mr. Stewart" Chris said and Sam and Mr. Stewart shake hands "A pleasure. I understand you're involed in the highway patrol somehow" Stewart said "Well, I don't like to brag, but I'm the leader of the S-Team" Sam said "That statement is only half correct" Chuck said "Really?" Stewart asks "My uncle drives fast. No other driver's quick enough to catch him! That's why he's called the Speed King! You came up with the name yourself, didn't you?" Chris asks "Sure! A little self-promotion never hurt anybody" Sam said laughing "Let's cut the chit-chat and get this party moving; it's too slow" Sam said "And your mouth is too fast" Ella said and Sam sits down "Ha! I can;'t help it that I like speed. I've always been fast! I even beat the doctor to the delivery room. I was the only kid in town who had a five-speed transmission in my baby carriage. I admit it! I like living in the fast lane. Even when I'm in the supermarket, no matter how many items I have, I use the express checkout. I can't even walk my dog. I make him run!" Sam said and laughs, and the others are clearly bored of his inflated ego "There's only two guys who're faster" Sam said and remembering Sonic and Brody running at the speed of sound past him "I never saw anything move that fast, but don't you worry. I'll catch up with them someday" Sam said and this piques Mr. Stewart's interest "Really? What did they look like?" Stewart asks "It's weird, but one of them looked like a blue hedgehog and the other looked like a yellow wolf with some black stripes on his body-- Huh?" Sam asks when he suddenly catches sight of Sonic and Brody in the tree, waving at him and Sam jumps up and points at Sonic and Brody "Hey! There they are!!" Sam said and everyone except Mr. Stewart turns to look, but Sonic and Brody are no longer there "There! Did you see? It was the blue hedgehog and yellow wolf I was talking about!" Sam said "Sorry, I was just admiring this painting" Stewart said "I didn't see anything. Did you?" Chuck asks "Perhaps your eyes were playing tricks on you, sir" Tanaka said "But I'm telling ya, I saw it! You saw it too, Chris, didn't you?!" Sam asks and Chris shakes his head and Sam rubs his eyes "I saw it. My eyes don't lie. Those thing waved at me and ran off!" Sam said "You know, they thought I was crazy too when I heard that animal talking" Ella said "Animal talking? Well I didn't hear it say anything, but I'm sure it could understand what I said. We both saw the same creatures! That proves that I'm not crazy" Sam said "The animal I heard is over there" Ella said pointing at Cream "You know, I'm sorry Mom can't be here for the party, but she got a phone call and had to leave to make a movie. I was pretty mad. Mr. Stewart was looking forward to meeting her, but she went away before he even got here. She's pretty rude, huh?" Chris asks "Now that sounds like my sister all right" Sam said and Cream remembers what she heard from Lindsey 'Please forgive me, Christopher... ' Lindsey said. Suddenly something snaps inside Cream, and she breaks out of Chris' grasp "You're wrong! Your mom felt very badly about she had to go and she tried to find you to say goodbye! You're lucky! You get to talk with your mom all the time on the phone. I can't do that cause we're here!" Cream said and leaves the room crying and everyone else stares in shock, even Mr. Stewart and finally Tanaka breaks the silence "Well, I hope you enjoyed that! I've been rehearsing my ventriloquism acts for weeks now and if I do say so myself, I'm not half bad!" Tanaka said and clears his throat as Mr. Stewart returns to the painting "Ah yes, this painting is stunning!" Stewart said when Tails, Turbo and Amy run through the room "I heard her crying over here!" Turbo said "Cream!" Tails said "Wait, Cream!" Amy said and the three are soon out of sight "I'm seeing more of them now!" Ella said and just as it looks like she is about to faint, Chuck catches her "Hey, Ella, would you care to dance?" Chuck asks and attempts to dance with Ella "Well Uncle Sam, I hope you can come and visit me again!" Chris said "Yeah, but you know me, Chris! It'll have to be a quick visit!" Sam said and they both laugh "I guess I've seen and heard enough" Stewart said and he pockets his device while Chuck continues to dance with Ella "Chris, I better get going, I've got homework to grade. Please give your mother my regards and tell her that I hope we get to meet soon!" Stewart said "I'm sorry, Mr. Stewart" Chris said. Mr. Stewart drives away, and Sam is also about to leave "Later boys! See you in my rearview mirror!" Sam said and drives away.

*Back at the living room*

Chris, Chuck, and Tanaka reenter the living room to see a depressed Ella sitting on the couch with the bouquet of roses "Oh dear, I'm working too hard! I'm hearing things!" Ella said "Mr. Chris, would it not be wise to let Ella in our little secret, too?" Tanaka asks "He's right. Things would be a lot easier if she were in on it, too" Chuck said "Sure, okay!" Chris said and they approach Ella "Hey Ella? Listen. It's like this..." Chris said.

*Later at the kitchen*

It is now nighttime, and Cream and Cheese are helping Ella cook dinner in the kitchen "So the only nutty thing in my kitchen is my pecan pie! What a relief! I'm so happy that you don't have to hide from me anymore, sweetie!" Ella said "Yeah, we can be friends and I can help you out in the kitchen!" Cream said and Ella starts to cry "You're such a dear. I'm sure your mother misses you terribly!" Ella said "Please don't worry. Sonic, Brody and their friends will find a way to get all of us back home, and you can take care of me 'til then" Cream said "I will, Cream... I will..." Ella said "Thank you, Ella" Cream said while Sonic, Brody and Chris look on "Now that Ella knows we're here, we can have the run of this place!" Sonic said "We can all be around the place freely" Brody said "Sure. Uh..." Chris said and remembers something and becomes sad and walks away "Huh? Chris?" Sonic and Brody ask confused.

*At Chris' room*

Sonic and Brody open the door and see Chris, with a glum expression, sitting on his bed "What's wrong?" Sonic asks "Why are you sad?" Brody asks "I didn't mean it when I complained about my mom missing the party, but Cream got really angry. I didn't even think about how bad she misses her mother. I... just hope she doesn't stay mad at me" Chris said "Don't worry; it'll be okay" Sonic and Brody said winking and Cream enters, humming and carrying a flower crown "Hello, Chris" Cream said and Chris gets down on one knee "I made this specially for you! Do you want to put it on?" Cream asks and places the flower crown on Chris' head "Wow. Thank you" Chris said "You can wear it to school and tell all your friends that I made it for you. Now I'm gonna give Ella her flowers!" Cream said and leaves "Way to go, buddy!" Sonic said "Cream will only give her flower crowns to the people who she really likes a lot, like you" Brody said "Really? You think she likes me?" Chris asks "You bet!" Sonic and Brody said winking and giving a thumbs up.

Back at the kitchen, Cream places the other flower crown on Ella's head as onlookers Chuck, Tails, Turbo and Amy cheer and laughing with joy, Ella scoops up Cream and Cheese in a big hug as this chapter comes to an end.
