Third Person's POV

We start at Chris' school as Danny, Frances, and Helen are playing basketball "No way! Two points!" The students said and the basketball lands through the net. Nearby, Mr. Stewart is secretly contacting his superiors "This is Chalkboard Charlie calling Homeroom. Chris Thorndyke is still absent from school" Stewart said and the basketball stops rolling when it collides with Mr. Stewart's right leg "Get the ball, Frances" Danny said "Mr Stewart? Can you throw me the ball, please?" Frances asks and Stewart picks up the ball "Hey, Mr Stewart! Why don't you come and play?" Danny asks "Uh... me?" Stewart asks "Yeah, it'll be fun!" Frances said "All right" Stewart said and takes the ball and dribbles it toward the net and dunks the ball through the net "Right in the net! That was an awesome shot, Mr. Stewart!" Danny said "Well, I was an alternate in the practice squad back in college..." Stewart said and Helen giggles "Did I... say something funny, Helen?" Stewart asks "I was just thinking that I'm happy we got you as our teacher" Helen said "Really?" Stewart asks "We weren't sure about you at first but you're cool" Danny said giving a thumbs up "Thanks, Danny" Stewart said.

*Meanwhile at Tails and Turbo's workshop*

Chris is searching for Tails and Turbo "I thought Tails, Turbo, Brody and Sonic would be here in the workshop. I wonder where they are. Maybe they took the X-Tornado out and I guess I just missed them. I can't wait to show them what I got! Sonic and Brody are gonna be really proud of me when they see that I found a Chaos Emerald!" Chris said.

In Mystic Ruins, Sonic, Brody, Turbo and Tails are walking together. They spot Knuckles and Ralph, who have their backs to them "It's Knuckles and Ralph" Tails said and Knuckles and Ralph smirk. It is revealed that they are standing over an unconscious Eggman "Eggman" Sonic and Brody said "Yeah" Ralph said and Sonic, Brody, Turbo and Tails approach "What'd you do to him?" Sonic asks "Nothing. We found him this way" Knuckles said and Tails and Turbo poke Eggman with sticks to see if Eggman is alive, and are surprised when Eggman sits up "Whaah! He's alive!" Turbo said "Of course I am" Eggman said "What happened?" Brody asks "Chaos turned against me" Eggman said "How come?" Sonic asks "Because... it wants to use the power of the Chaos Emeralds all for itself" Eggman said and Knuckles reaches for Eggman's throat "Tell us where Chaos is or else!" Knuckles said and Ralph puts his hand on Knuckles' shoulder "Take it easy big guy" Ralph said "How dare you threaten me! I'd love to teach you a lesson, but unfortunately I have to fly!" Eggman said and mysteriously rises into the air "He's getting away" Turbo said and it is revealed that Eggman is being airlifted by a hot-air balloon manned by Bocoe and Decoe "Okay, start reeling him up" Decoe said "The winch is jammed!" Bocoe said "We can pull him up ourselves" Decoe said "No way. All that weight will burn out our motors" Bocoe said "Don't just leave me hanging here like a salami!" Eggman said "Try not to get agitated. The cable could break" Decoe said "Just enjoy the ride" Bocoe said "There's not time to lose. My plans for world domination depend on Chaos. We have to track down that renegade right away!" Eggman said "Roger!" Decoe said and Eggman cries out as his hench-bots fly him away "If Eggman was telling the truth, we have to find Chaos fast and stop it. The second it gets a hold of all seven Chaos Emeralds, it will become too powerful to defeat" Ralph said "You're right" Brody said and suddenly a bright light envelops Sonic, Brody, Ralph and Knuckles "What's goin' on here?" Sonic asks.

*Brody, Sonic, Ralph and Knuckles' vision*

Sonic, Brody, Ralph and Knuckles study their surroundings "Quiet... We've been here before. We're back in the past" Ralph said and they see Chief Pachacamac and his clan in front of the Master Emerald shrine. Tikal and several Chao block the way to the temple "Tikal, the clan needs those seven Emeralds. It is the only way to protect ourselves from our enemies" Pachacamac said "But taking the Emeralds isn't the way! Please stop! You'll regret it forever!" Tikal said "The clan has made its choice, and we'll seize the Emeralds now. Warriors, attack!" Pachacamac said and the echidnas race toward the shrine, trampling Tikal "Stop it!" Tikal said and the seven Chaos Emeralds appear around the Master Emerald as the echidnas reach the top of the shrine. Chaos emerges from the Master Emerald "What is this thing?!" Pachacamac asks and Chaos raises its hands, and the Master Emerald begins to glow brightly. The echidnas are forced to shield their eyes. The Master Emerald glows intensely, and suddenly there is a white glow that envelops everything. When it dies down, the Master Emerald's glow dies down, and the shrine is on fire "They're gone. All of them" Knuckles said "Not all of them" Sonic said and he and Brody rush over to an unconscious Tikal "Are you okay?" Sonic and Brody ask and Tikal slowly sits up. Opening her eyes, she sees the burning shrine "I knew this would end in disaster. Why, Father, why didn't you listen to me?" Tikal asks and gets up and dashes toward the shrine "Hey, hold on!" Sonic said as he, Brody, Ralph and Knuckles follow Tikal to the top of the shrine, where she begins to pray "You must understand. The servers are the seven chaos. Our hearts intensify their power. The controller serves to unify the chaos. The seven Chaos Emeralds take what is in our hearts and turn it into power. Hmph... But if the heart that wields the Emeralds is full of nothing but angry and fear... then that power will being pain and destruction to the world. Oh, please, you must stop Chaos!" Tikal said and spreads forth her arms as the Master Emerald glows, thus ending the vision.

*Back in Mystic Ruins*

"Are you guys okay?" Tails and Turbo asks "Did you see her?" Ralph asks "Yeah. What was she trying to tell us?" Sonic asks "We have to stop Chaos from getting hold of the last Emerald" Knuckles said "Hey, you guys! Look!" Chris said and Knuckles panics when he sees Chris approaching him, white Chaos Emerald in hand. Suddenly, the ground directly underneath Chris rumbles, and a huge geyser of water launches into the air "Chris!" Sonic said and he and Brody leap into the geyser and takes Chris' hand "Hold tight, buddy!" Brody said and with his energy sapped, Chris lets go of the Chaos Emerald "Just hang on!" Knuckles and Ralph said and they leap into the air, and karate-kick the geyser, releasing Sonic, Brody and Chris. Sonic and Brody land on the ground, still carrying Chris. The ground begins to crack, swallowing the Chaos Emeralds and Knuckles and Ralph's bag of Master Emerald shards. Tails flies out of the way with Turbo just in time as a massive geyser of water bursts out of the ground, then falls back back in "So Chaos has all seven Emeralds now" Knuckles said "I'm sorry, Knuckles. It's all my fault" Chris said "That creature is more powerful than all of us now. It can't be stopped" Ralph said "But we have to try" Brody said. Nearby, a few sad Chao float down.

*Meanwhile in Station Square*

Dark clouds gather above Station Square. Everyone stops as the ground begins to rumble. Water rushes through the sewers. Sam Speed is giving someone a speeding ticket "You were doing fifty in a 35 mph zone. But since you did ask me for my autograph, I'll let you off the warning this time" Sam said when suddenly the nearby manhole explodes into the air as water gushes out like a geyser "Whoa! Must be a water main break!" Sam said but that is not the only incident. Across the entire city, manholes are launched into the air by the sheer force of water, sending people screaming and running "Let's get out of here!" The people said "This is bad" Sam said and a giant crack forms in one of the streets, and water gushes out of it. It even bursts out of the tops of skyscrapers. People flee into one of the buildings "You'll be safe here! Hurry!" Sam said and suddenly a wave sweeps Sam away. One of the waves of water which explodes out of one of the buildings forms into a giant head. The creature's eyes open, and it roars. Perfect Chaos is born.

*At the White House*

The President, Christina, Topaz, and Rouge are watching Scarlet Garcia on TV. She is reporting the breaking story from a helicopter "Station Square is flooded! We don't know the exact cause of the disaster yet, but eyewitnesses reported that something went horribly wrong in the city's water system. As you can see, there's complete devastati-- Oh my.. There's something down there..." Scarlet said and sees Perfect Chaos moving through the city and begins to panic "It's appears to be some kind of monster!" Scarlet said "Tell that pilot to fly closer to the monster!" A technician said. The President and Christina take frantic calls from officials as Topaz and Rouge stand by "Counter attack is impossible!" One call said "Our missile launcher was caught in the flooding" Another caller said "What about fighter jets? How many do we have in the area?" Christina asks "Throw everything we got at it. As commanding chief, I authorise you to do whatever it takes stop that thing" The president said.

Perfect Chaos slashes a building in half with one of its tentacles. In the Thorndyke mansion's living room, Ella, Cream, and Cheese are watching the breaking story "Much of the city is now in ruins! The only good news is that nobody has been seriously hurt. But the monster is still attacking us!" Scarlet said and suddenly Cheese begins freaking out "What are you trying to say, Cheese, huh?" Cream asks but there is no explanation "Don't worry, that blob would hurt you" Ella said "Right, we're going up to the mountains where it's safe" Cream said but Cheese refuses to calm down and Chuck enters "What are you waiting for? We have to get out of here fast!" Chuck said "But we can't go yet because Mister Chris still hasn't come back home" Ella said "Where is he?!" Chuck asks worried.

In the X-Tornado, "We've gotta stop Chaos somehow. Faster! We don't have much time" Chris said "Better hang on!" Turbo said and below them, Sonic and Brody are running toward the city.

"If We don't get to the city fast, there won't be anything left to save" Brody said "We gotta hurry!" Sonic said.

In Station Square, the digital billboard shows Perfect Chaos's rampage "The monster is downtown, leaving a wave of destruction in its wake!" Scarlet said and Perfect Chaos destroys the billboard.

In Chris' school, the students are being evacuated "Children, we're all moving up the slope there" Stewart said "Roger, this is Chalkboard Charlie" He said on his wrist controller "We need you back here at headquarters on the double!" An agent said and Stewart sees Danny and Frances struggling with Helen's wheelchair "But I can't leave my students!" Stewart said "What?! This is a direct order!" The agent said and Stewart grits his teeth in frustration, then sighs "There's so much static that I can't hear you. Ending transmission" Stewart said "Sir?" Frances asks "Are you the last ones?" Stewart asks "Yeah, the others went ahead" Danny said "That's good. Then follow me!" Stewart said "Okay" Danny and Frances said and Stewart grabs Helen's chair and runs like the wind. Danny and Frances follow.

At the Thorndyke Mansion, Chuck, Ella, and Cream are ready to leave "I'll wait for Chris. As a former water polo champion, I can swim both of us to safety when the flood comes" Tanaka said and Chuck picks up Cheese, who is still upset, though not as much as before "Be careful" Chuck said to Tanaka and Cream opens the door as she, Ella, and Chuck leave the mansion. Tanaka stays to wait for Chris.

In Station Square, several people pull Sam to safety. Among them is Jerome Wise "Thanks. That was close" Sam said and a fleet of military helicopters fly in to engage Perfect Chaos "Alright! Hope they send that thing down the drain!" Sam said "Commence attack pattern bravo" pilot 1 said "Copy that, Squad Leader" pilot 2 said "Let's take it down!" Pilot 3 said and the choppers open fire on Perfect Chaos, but no damage is done "Switch to missile fire now" The pilot said and missiles are launched at Perfect Chaos, which absorbs them and breathes them back at the choppers "No way!" The pilot said and Sonic and Brody arrive in town. Seeing the carnage, they grit their teeth and speed off into the wrecked city. Meanwhile, the helicopters are destroyed by their own missiles. The citizens watch helplessly "We need Sonic and Brody" a citizen said.

Eggman, Decoe, and Bocoe are sitting in a giant cockpit of some sort. The lights slowly turn on "Systems are go" Bocoe said "Let's take off!" Eggman said and a large door opens, and the giant cruiser they are sitting in begins to rise "A successful evil genius always have a Plan B. That's why I have the Egg Carrier 2. Chaos better watch out. Things are about to get really chaotic. Hahaha!" Eggman said.

Sonic and Brody watch Perfect Chaos' relentless rampage "That's it, Chaos! Your destroying days are over!" Sonic and Brody said and they take a mighty leap into the air and spin toward Perfect Chaos' head "Hey, look!" A citizen said but the water god uses a tentacle to slam them back to earth. Sonic and Brody then run up one of the few skyscrapers standing and fly toward Perfect Chaos. However, the monster absorbs them, spits them out, and rears up a mighty wave of water to catch them. Brody is lucky enough to land a floating board of wood and Sonic lands behind him and holds onto him as Brody rides it like a surfboard "Sonic! Brody!" Sonic and Brody hear as they look up to see the X-Tornado approaching them. Brody takes hold of Chris' outstretched hand getting lifted with Sonic "You all right?" Chris asks "Yeah. Thanks, Chris" Brody said "You think.. we'll win?" Chris asks "It'll turn out okay. But Chaos is more powerful then ever, so Brody I'll need plenty of help. Can We count on ya?" Sonic asks "You bet" Chris said "Okay, then. Let's do it!" Sonic and Brody said and Turbo flies the X-Tornado into battle. It skillfully avoids several water spears before buzzing Perfect Chaos. Suddenly, they are overshadowed by the Egg Carrier 2 "What's this?" Brody asks "Back off, Sonic and Brody! Chaos double-crossed me. Now it's payback time!" Eggman said "Eggman! This time he's fighting on our side?" Sonic asks and the Egg Carrier 2 closes in on Perfect Chaos.

"All attack systems are online" Decoe said "Blast charges are loaded and ready to fire on your command" Bocoe said "You're through, Chaos! The price of disloyalty to the Eggman Empire is annihilation" Eggman said "Front missiles, fire" He said.

The Egg Carrier 2 fires many missiles at Perfect Chaos, but they are quickly deflected by a force field. Then the water god fires a giant laser from its mouth, destroying the Egg Carrier 2. The villains escape in the Eggmobile and Sonic and Brody see this "Oh, great! How are we gonna beat it now?" Brody asks and just then, a bright light moves in, blinding the X-Tornado's occupants. The light surrounds the X-Tornado and safely guides it to a landing position on a bridge. Sonic and Brody leap down from the X-Tornado "This just keeps getting freakier and freakier..." Sonic said and a female echidna appears "Tikal?" Sonic and Brody ask and the light fades "Since the day of my father's invasion, I've jorneyed across the seas of eternal time with Chaos to help keep its power under control. But some friend woke Chaos for a plan to use its power for an evil purpose" Tikal said "Eggman... He must have uncovered the way to revive Chaos somehow so he could use it to take over the world" Brody said and Perfect Chaos spits out the Chaos Emeralds. The purple Emerald lands in front of Tikal. It is petrified. Tikal picks it up "Chaos has now drained all the Emeralds of their power" Tikal said "What?" Sonic and Brody ask "Ever since my clan attacked the temple, Chaos has known only hate and anger. He will use the power of the seven Emeralds to destroy this world. We have to seal Chaos back in the Master Emerald before it's too late!" Tikal said "It won't work" Sonic said and Tikal stands up confused "If we seal it in the Master Emerald, the same thing will only happen again. We have to solve this problem once and for all" Brody said "Yes... but how can we?" Tikal asks but Sonic and Brody don't know how to answer "Sonic! Brody!" Sonic and Brody hear and look up to Cream carrying a petrified yellow Chaos Emerald "Look, I have something for you two!" Cream said and Ella, Tanaka, and Chuck also arrive "Cream got the Emerald back after Chaos let them all go" Chuck said and Amy also runs in carrying a petrified blue Emerald "Hey, Sonic! Brody!" Amy said and Big also arrives. He holds up the green Emerald "I finally got back the pretty rock that Froggy swallowed. You can borow it if you want to" Big said and Eggman, Decoe, Bocoe, and Knuckles and Ralph also arrive, followed by Tails and Turbo "Sonic! Brody! If you collect all the Emeralds, you can defeat Chaos!" Tails said and Ralph holds out the red Emerald "Here. You two have more experience at being a hero" Ralph said and Knuckles nodded "Thanks, Knuckles and Ralph" Sonic and Brody said and Knuckles turns to Eggman, knowing he is hiding an Emerald "Eggman!" Knuckles said "Oh, all right. Take it" Eggman said and hands over the petrified cyan Emerald "We need one more" Turbo said "Sonic! Brody! Look what I found!" Chris said running with the last Emerald: the white one. However, he trips and falls on his face. Sonic and Brody run over "Chris!" Sonic and Brody said and Chris looks up "Sonic, Brody, look!" Chris said and holds out his Emerald "We knew you'd come through" Brody said and Sonic nodded and the crowds cheer for Sonic and Brody from the wrecked buildings "Go, Sonic and Brody! Yeah, Sonic and Brody! All right!" The crowd said and the Chaos Emeralds' power begins returning "The Emeralds are getting their power back!" Chris said and the Chaos Emeralds begin levitating. They begin to orbit Sonic and Brody. They close their eyes and lets them change them into Super Sonic and Super Brody. Sonic's quills stand up, and he and Brody rise into the the air "I thought that the power of the Chaos Emeralds could only be awakened by hate and anger" Tikal said "There are other feelings that are even more powerful" Knuckles said "When everybody gave their Chaos Emeralds to Sonic and Brody, it was because of our friendship. Caring is stronger than hate, and that's how Sonic and Brody are gonna beat Chaos" Tails said and Sonic and Brody finish changing into Super Sonic and Super Brody, then turn to Perfect Chaos.

Perfect Chaos prepares itself for battle. Perfect Chaos projects a barrier around itself, but it is smashed by Sonic and Brody. Perfect Chaos then turns its tentacles into drills, but Sonic and Brody spin into them, shattering them. Not even Perfect Chaos' laser mouth can hurt Super Sonic and Super Brody, so it fires an even stronger laser that heads toward Chris and the others. Sonic and Brody move in front of it "Aaahhh! ... Sonic! Brody!" Chris said but the beam does nothing "You can't stop us!" Sonic and Brody said and the others smile. Mr Stewart and his class cheer Sonic and Brody on from a hill far away from the city "If anybody can stop that monster, it's Sonic and Brody!" Helen said "Go, Sonic and Brody!" Danny said and the kids cheer with chants of "Go, Sonic and Brody!" Perfect Chaos whips a tentacle toward Sonic and Brody, but they use each one hand to stop it, and then use Chaos energy to dissolve it "Is that the best you can do?" Sonic asks "It's our turn now!" Brody said and Perfect Chaos fires a laser beam from its mouth again, but Sonic and Brody charge headfirst toward it spinning around each other making a drill, and force it back to sender. Once Sonic and Brody fly inside Perfect Chaos, they exit again as the water god glows gold and vanishes in a bright light. The crowds cheer. Sonic and Brody had won. However, the puddle that was Chaos lands on the ground, and it reverts to its base form "It wasn't destroyed. It survived!" Knuckles said "Chao chao chao" Cheese said and many other Chao rise from the water and surround Chaos, including Cheese. Chaos beams "But it doesn't look angry anymore" Ralph said "Yeah. If you ask me, Chaos actually looks kinda happy" Tails said "Wow, look at all those Chao!" Cream said "I wonder where they came from?" Chris said "It looks to me like those Chao were friends of Chaos who came here to see him" Amy said and Tikal steps in front of Chaos "These are the Chao you kept watch over" Tikal said and Chaos looks around at the Chao. There is a flashback of Chris, his friends and the Chao "They are coming into this world now. The Chao will live here in peace, and you can be at peace now too" Tikal said and the flashback ends "Time to go" Tikal said and spreads forth her hands, and she and Chaos rise into the air. They soon vanish. Sonic and Brody look at the the city in concern and Turbo breaks the silence "Huh? Where'd Eggman go?" Turbo asks "I think he escaped while we were distracted" Tanaka said "Yeah, well, he won't get away next time" Knuckles said and Chris approaches Sonic and Brody "You did it, Sonic and Brody!" Chris said and Sonic and Brody turn around and they give a thumbs up "We all did" Sonic and Brody said and Chris returns the thumbs-up as this chapter comes to an end.
