Third Person's POV

We start in the Thorndyke Mansion as Sonic and Brody are lying on the roof, the two reading a book called "Walk on the Earth." Brody places it down and Sonic  snuggles close "I guess We've seen every place there is to see on this planet, except for the places I'd have to swim to..." Sonic said and Brody chuckles "Yeah" Brody said.

In the living room, Cream and Cheese are finishing watching an episode of The Next Show "Bye-bye, my friends! I'll see you tomorrow!" Next said "Bye!" Cream said waving "Chao chao!" Cheese said and Ella enters carrying a pumpkin pie, and sets it down in front of Cream "I thought you two might like a little snack" Ella said "Thank you" Cream said "Chao! Chao!" Cheese said and suddenly the TV's image changes to Channel 5 News "We interrupt our regularly scheduled program to go live to our SSTV correspondent Scarlet Garcia" A news reporter said and Scarlet Garcia is then shown at an event. Jerome Wise is at the lectern "The President's top aide is going to make a statement before taking questions from the press core" Scarlet said "The President has decided to take action to stop Dr. Eggman!" Jerome said and Ella, Cream, and Cheese stare at the screen "What?" Cream asks.

*Meanwhile at Eggman's Base*

Eggman, Bocoe, and Decoe are watching the press conference from the command center "Has the administration developed a concrete plan to stop Dr. Eggman?" A journalist asks "Yes" Jerome said "Oh yeah?" Eggman asks and presses a button that powers down the screen "Well, I hope they come up with a disaster management plan, because they're going to need it!" Eggman said and belts out a hearty laugh.

*At a cliff*

Knuckles and Ralph are scaling a cliff overlooking Station Square. They soon reach the top "All right. Where's that Emerald?" Knuckles asks "Easier said than done big guy" Ralph said when the X-Tornado flies past them before they run back down the cliff.

The X-Tornado is carrying Turbo, Tails, Chris, Amy, and Frances and Chris is wearing goggles "Amy, there's my house down there" Frances said pointing "Which one?" Amy asks "Do you see the one with the red roof?" Frances asks "Yeah. That's great, Frances" Amy said "You should come for a visit some time" Frances said "I will! Thanks!" Amy said "Hey Chris! Do you think we could fly over our school?" Frances asks "Uh... Well, I... Maybe..." Chris said "Guys, this isn't a sightseeing trip. We gotta hurry and track down the next Chaos Emerald or Eggman'll get it before we do!" Turbo said "I know, Turbo. Sorry" Chris said "It's all right" Turbo said "Hey Chris, where'd you get those new hi-tech goggles? From your grandpa?" Tails asks "No, my teacher Mr. Stewart gave them to me. Do you two like them?" Chris asks "Mm-hm. They look pretty cool!" Tails said and Turbo nodded "Yeah, they're one of the best gifts I ever got!" Chris said but little does Chris know that his goggles contains a tracking device.

At the same time, outside Chris' school, Mr. Stewart is sitting in his car in the parking lot, monitoring the X-Tornado's position "Amy, look! There's the school Chris and I go to!" Frances said and the X-Tornado flies overhead, and Mr. Stewart pulls out of the parking lot and begins to follow the aircraft.

*Meanwhile at the White House*

The President is seated around a small table with two of his aides, the G.U.N. commander, a G.U.N. captain, Topaz, and Rouge. The GUN Commander lifts a section off of a model of Eggman's fortress that is set up on the table "The power generators for Eggman's base are located under the tower, Mr. President" the commander said "Oh" the president said "This information came to us from Rouge and Topaz" the commander said "Well Rouge, I'm glad my confidence in you wasn't misplaced" the president said "This spy stuff is right up my alley" Rouge said "We're all very grateful. Now, let's review our attack plan" The president said "Right" one of the aide said "So you're the only one who gets the credit?" Topaz asks "I did do all the work" Rouge said and the GUN Captain sets up several model ships and planes in front of the model island "It'll be a two-pronged assault from sea and air" the G.U.N captain said "Hm. Yes. But what if Eggman's robots counterattack?" The president said "These forces are merely a diversion. Eggman will deploy his robots against this frontal assault" the captain said and sets up a model ship behind the island "Meanwhile, a special forces team will approach the island from the opposite side and sneak into the base from the rear. Once they break into the generator room, they'll cut off Eggman's power supply" the captain said "They'll be backed up by a team from the Intelligence Agency, including Rouge and some other agents" the P.T.A said "Good" the president said "How come she gets top billing?" Topaz asks the commander "You know how it works, Topaz. There's a star in every show. We're just bit players" the commander said "Uh, now onto the subject of Sonic and Brody" the president said "We're ready to capture them and force them to work with us" the P.T.A said "Well, now... You see... I've sent someone to try a more diplomatic approach" the president said "Who, sir?"  a second aide asks.

*Meanwhile at the Thorndyke Mansion*

Jerome and two Secret Service agents are standing in front of the front door and Ella opens it "Good day, sir. ... Aah!" Ella said and recognizes Jerome as the same man whom she saw hold the press conference earlier that day "You're... the President's aide!" Ella said "Are Sonic and Brody at home?" Jerome asks "Huh? I don't know. Who are they?" Ella asks while Sonic and Brody are sleeping on the roof cuddled up to eachother, oblivious to what is happening below them "I'd like you to let Sonic and Brody know that I didn't come here to capture them. I simply came at the request of the President to ask for they cooperation. You should also tell Sonic and Brody that if they do agree to work with us, they will be rewarded. The President gave his pledge that Sonic, Brody and their friends will be offered citizenship, and they'll be paid for their services" Jerome said "That's all very nice, but I don't think I know no Sonic or Brody" Ella said "We know you know Sonic and Brody..." Jerome said and opens a booklet and turns to a page "....Ella" Jerome said "Oh! But how do you know my name?" Ella asks "We know all about you, this house, and your visitors" Jerome said "I already told you I don't know nothing, so why don't you put an egg in your shoe and beat it!" Ella said "I can cause lots of problemas for you, lady" Jerome said pointing at her "Get Sonic and Brody!" He said but Ella has already shut the door. Jerome tries to pull it open but fails and Ella opens the door only to throw a bucket of water at Jerome. The other agents stare in shock "What kind of security is this?! They're supposed to jump in front of me! Now I smell like floor wax!" Jerome said and Tanaka heads down the stairs "Ella, who was it?" Tanaka asks and storms up the stairs "Just because he's the President's big shot assistant, he thinks he can threaten me! Well, I just showed him that he's all wet!" Ella said and Tanaka looks confused and Jerome's car leaves, and Sonic and Brody still rest on the roof.

*Back at the White House*

The group are now in the Oval Office and the President is on the phone "Yes, I see. Bye" the president said and hangs up "He couldn't even get in the door to see them" the president said "Who knew hedgehogs and wolves were so headstrong?" an aide said "It looks like we'll have to stop Eggman ourselves, Mr. President" the P.T.A said "I suppose we'll have to count Sonic and Brody out" the president said "You don't need them in the game" Rouge said and the president looks at her "Heh. Not when you got me goin' a bat for you" Rouge said and winks "Ah, you're right, Rouge!" The president said 'I'm not going to let anything stop me from getting my hands on a Chaos Emerald this time' Rouge thinks.

*At Station Square*

Mr. Stewart sees that the X-Tornado is leaving the Station Square city limits "I wonder where they can be headed to now?" Stewart asks and drives onto a highway onramp leading to Highway 1. The Chaos Emerald in the X-Tornado begins glowing "The Chaos Emerald's picking up something!" Tails said "That's great!" Chris said "See it on the locator screen?" Turbo asks "South-southeast!" Chris said "Chaos Emerald, here we come!" Turbo and Tails said and the X-Tornado turns around. In Station Square, Mr. Stewart is driving along the highway and he glances at the screen "Hm. They turned again" Stewart said and turns around as well.

*Later at a Corn field*

The X-Tornado has landed in a corn field "The scopes say there's a Chaos Emerald in this field. We beat Eggman to it! Open up so we can start looking!" Chris said "We can look from here" Turbo said and Chris glances at Turbo and Tails in surprise "Wait and see" Tails said and Turbo presses a button, and the X-Tornado slowly begins to transform "What's this?" Frances asks and after a few more moments, the X-Tornado finishes transforming into a walker "Wow!" Frances said "Wow, Tails! Turbo! What did you two do?" Amy asks and Turbo chuckles and rubs his nose.

"Tails and I transformed it into an all-purpose robot called the X-Cyclone" Turbo said "What do you guys say we take it for a little stroll?" Tails asks "Uh-huh" Chris said "Now let's find that Chaos Emerald!" Turbo said and the X-Tornado begins lumbering through the corn field.

Meanwhile at Station Square, Mr. Stewart, who is still driving on the highway, sees that the moving dot has stopped east of where he is. He has listened to Chris' conversation with his friends "A Chaos Emerald, eh?" Stewart asks and picks up a tiny communicator and contacts his superiors "This is Chalkboard Charlie calling Homeroom. Come in, Homeroom. Over" Stewart said.

Back in the corn field, clouds begin to move in, and the Chaos Emerald is still glowing. The group are gathered around one spot in the corn field "Looks like there's a Chaos Emerald right under our feet!" Chris said "Mm-hm!" Tails said "But we didn't bring a shovel" Amy said "That's okay. We've got the X-Cyclone to dig for us! Isn't that right, Tails and Turbo?" Frances asks "Hey, yeah! You said it was an all-purpose robot" Chris said "We... didn't include a digging function..." Turbo and Tails said. Surprised, the others sweatdrop "It's not all-purpose then, is it?" Amy asks "..Not exactly..." Tails said "Heheh... Guys, I bet the farmhouse we saw has a shovel we could borrow" Chris said "I'll go with you!" Frances said and they head for the barns.

*Meanwhile at the White House*

"This may well be our only opportunity, Mr. President. If Eggman leaves the chase after that Chaos Emerald, we can attack the base while he's gone. It'll improve the odds for our success" The P.T.A said "And we'll have Eggman on the run" one aide said but the President is looking out the window, deep in thought "Mr. President" the aide said and the President finally turns to them "All right, then. Let's get this job done!" The president said.

At a military base, two pilots board their military aircraft. While Knuckles and Ralph are watching from afar.

"I wonder what's up now?" Knuckles asks "Are they gonna attack Eggman?" Ralph asks.

*Meanwhile, Outside Eggman's base*

As a fleet of battleships nears the island, other soldiers are setting up communications equipment on an island not far from Eggman's island. In Eggman's command center, Eggman, Bocoe, and Decoe are watching an infomercial, which depicts a cleaning product "Now folks, let's see how a single application of V10 stain remover handles this gooey grease stain! Wow! Look at that! V10 gets rid of those nasty stains in no time at all!" The voiceover said "That's rad" Decoe said "Let's call and order some" Bocoe said "I wish that stuff got rid of infomercials, too" Eggman said "Just think - you'll save a bunch with just one bottle of--" The voice over started when suddenly the screen's image is replaced by a still "They found a Chaos Emerald buried in a corn field in Tingalin Villa" A news reporter said "A Chaos Emerald? What?" Eggman asks and sitting down again, he presses a button and the screen changes to a slot machine "Bring the cards" Eggman said and Decoe presents Eggman the cards "Here you are, Doctor" Decoe said and Eggman takes the cards and studies them "Hmm... Which card shall I pick today?" Eggman asks and places the deck in the slot and closes the hatch and pulls the lever. The slots spin, and all three slots stop on E-35 Funfun "Aha! Funfun! Perfect!" Eggman said.

Back outside the base, a secret runway is revealed, and Funfun takes off into the sky, follwed by Eggman in his Eggmobile. However, they have not gone undetected "There he goes. Get ready to mobilize" a officer said.

At the military base, several fighter jets take off "Squadron A is away! Squadron B, get set for your run on the island" the control tower said and Knuckles and Ralph are standing outside the fence surrounding the military base "They really are attacking Eggman's base!" Knuckles and Ralph said.

*Meanwhile at Tingalin Villa*

As the Chaos Emerald in the X-Cyclone glows, Chris, Frances, Tails, Turbo and Amy dig for the Chaos Emerald buried in the ground "It must be deep" Turbo said "Just keep digging" Chris said and suddenly they hear the sound of an engine from above "What's that?" Frances asks "Sounds like a jet!" Amy said and a massive shadow passes over them, and Funfun lands nearby "What's that?!" Frances asks and Eggman floats down next to Funfun "Oh no! It's Dr. Eggman!" Chris said "Do something!" Amy said to Turbo and Tails and the two foxes nod and climb into the X-Cyclone "Have you found my Chaos Emerald yet?" Eggman asks and Turbo and Tails turn the X-Cyclone around to prepare for possible combat "We're not gonna give it to ya!" Tails said "That's right!" Amy said "Very well... I'll just take it then" Eggman said "Hey, I'd better find a phone and call Sonic and Brody!" Chris said "Tell them to hurry!" Amy said "Come on, Frances" Chris said and the two leave "Go! Get them, Funfun!" Eggman said "Stop 'em, X-Cyclone!" Amy said "Let's go!" Turbo said and converts the X-Cyclone back into the X-Tornado and flies toward Funfun. However, the giant fan on Funfun begins to turn it soon creates a current of wind so so strong that it causes the X-Tornado to stall in midair, and also blows Amy away "Amy!!" Turbo and Tails said and the X-Tornado crashes into the ground "You're blowing those brats away! Good work!" Eggman said and the wind begins to push the X-Tornado along the ground "Uh-oh..." Turbo and Tails said and the wind begins to spread. Chris sees it coming and drops to the ground with Frances. The wind spreads through to the other side of the corn field, even destroying two buildings from hundreds of yards away. Eggman laughs "This is the most "Funfun" I've had in a long time!" Eggman said and the X-Tornado continues to slide along the ground "The control stick is jammed up!" Turbo said and the intense wind is strong enough to blow Chris' goggles away. At the road, Mr. Stewart is still driving along the road "That cornfield must be around here somewhere..." Stewart said and then catches sight of the dot on the radar moving rapidly away from him. He looks out the window up at the sky "Where is it? Where?" Stewart asks and gets back into his car "They're headed the other way!" Stewart said and sees that the dot has moved out of range "Great...." Stewart said.

*Meanwhile in the vicinity of Eggman's Base*

Several battleships and formations of fighter jets fire dozens of missiles at Eggman's base. They all strike the base with sheer precision. In Eggman's command center, "What's happening?" Bocoe asks "It's an attack, you bolt-brain! The fighter planes are firing at us, and their battleships too!" Decoe said "We will show them! Let us launch our counterattack!" Bocoe said. In the vicinity of the base, three robots are deployed: E-11 Beacon, E-13 Guardbot, and E-14 Sneezer. Upon landing on the beach, Sneezer launches three missiles. The first two miss, but the third hits one of the battleships. While Guardbot shoots down one of the fighter jets, two others shoot at Beacon, only to be destroyed by the same robot. Rouge, Topaz, and several GUN soldiers observe this "They're putting up quite a fight. Now let's knock out the power" Rouge said and Topaz nods and Rouge slips her mask onto her face and leads the way.

*Back at the White House*

A crew is preparing the President's telecast. He is rehearsing his speech "My fellow civilians, er, I mean, my fellow citizens, today our milinary-- no, uh, our military is--" The president said "We're live in fifteen seconds, Mr. President!" a man said and the president straightens his tie and clears his throat.

*At Station Square*

A giant screen shows Scarlet Garcia in front of the White House "We interrupt our regular broadcast to bring you this live emergency address from the President" Scarlet said "My fellow citizens, today our military forces launched an all-out assault against the headquarters of Dr. Eggman. Despite repeated warnings, Dr. Eggman has continued to threaten the peace and well-being of our nation" the president said.

*In the living room of the Thorndyke Mansion*

Cream, having seen the speech, is filled with determination "We have to tell Sonic and Brody about this!" Cream said and races out of the room. Cheese tries to follow but stumbles, picks himself up, and continues running.

*Back at the vicinity of Eggman's Base*

As the fighter jets and battleships launch more missiles and bullets at the fortress, the robots continue shooting down jets "This conflict is unfortunate, but we cannot allow Dr. Eggman to achieve his goal of world domination! We must stop him now before it is too late!" the president said. A bomb set up by GUN explodes, and Rouge enters the base through the newly-made hole, followed by the rest of the GUN troop and more jets are prepared for battle. However, Knuckles and Ralph are hiding aboard one of them and the second wave of jets is launched.

*At the garage in the Thorndyke Mansion*

Brody, Cream and Sonic enter the garage.

"Hey, Tails! Turbo! Let's go--Huh?" Brody asks as the garage is empty "How could they leave without you, Sonic and Brody?" Cream asks and Chuck appears from the stairs with a cup in his hand "Hi there, Sonic and Brody. Tails and Turbo went flying with Amy and Chris and his friend Frances. I'm not sure where. They left quite a while ago, so I don't think they'll be gone too much longer" Chuck siad "Lousy time for a joy ride!" Sonic and Brody said anxious.

On the road, Mr. Stewart catches sight of Chris' goggles in the grass "These are the goggles I gave Chris. I hope he's okay..." Stewart said and heads back to his car.

*Back at Tingalin Villa*

Chris and Frances are still on the ground, sheltering from the wind "Ugh, the wind's got us pinned down!" Chris said as he and Frances look up to see Amy hammering stakes into the ground in an attempt to get to them "Amy!" Chris said "Don't worry! I'm almost there!" Amy said. Meanwhile, Tails and Turbo struggle to transform the X-Tornado back into the X-Cyclone, but they finally get their vehicle back up and turn it to face Eggman "We won't let you win, Eggman!" Turbo and Tails said and Eggman laughs "That measly machine of yours is no match for my robot!" Eggman said "Oh yeah?" Turbo asks "Let's compete to see whose robot rules! Knocking the wind out of your puny X-Cyclone will be a breeze!" Eggman said and snaps his fingers and Funfun greatly increases its wind speed "It seems Turbo and Tails are in way over their heads!" Eggman said as Turbo struggles to keep the X-Cyclone upright, but it buckles - and is finally blown away.

On the road, Mr. Stewart is close enough to Tingalin Villa that he can see the X-Cyclone being blown away. Suddenly he is hit by the gust of wind. Corn leaves completely obscure his view as his car starts to move backward "Gah! I can't see! ... It's like a tornado!" Stewart said and with nothing left to do, he picks up his cell phone and dials a number "Is this the Thorndyke residence?" Stewart asks in a disguised voice.

*At Chuck's Lab*

Chuck is on the phone with Mr. Stewart. Sonic, Brody and Cream are present "Yes, that's right... Sorry, what did you say? Speak up! ... They're at Tingaling Villa? Thanks a lot, I'll send someone after them right away" Chuck said and hangs up "Who was it?" Cream asks "He didn't say who he was" Chuck said and looks at Sonic and Brody "Chris needs your help at Tingaling Villa" Chuck said "Right!" Sonic and Brody said and they race out of the garage on their way to Tingalin Villa to rescue their friends from the clutches of Dr. Eggman.
