Kirito hummed gently as they arrived at the town. A calm wind brushed over the group as they entered. Asuna frowned.

"I don't get it... why would someone want to destroy this kind of a place?"

"Not sure." Kirito whispered. Silica stayed quiet as the others commented on her question. Her eyes met those of a boy wandering the streets. A brief moment of silence filled the air as he realized something and bolted. She would've chased him if Kirito didn't pull her out of her train of thought.

"What do you think, Silica?" Her eyes drifted back to the group.

"Hm? What?" The others giggled at her confusion.

"Silica, you need to pay attention." Silica rubbed her head sheepishly.

"Not sure... but from what my friend said, there's a bar here that players go to gather for major events and announcements." Kirito hummed slightly.

"Ok... let's go there. We'll get more details once inside."

They went over to the large building where a large crowd was talking. According to some, there were two events kicking off soon and that groups have already been formed. They were able to talk to someone who gave a summary of the game. It wasn't until after they left the guy did they notice Silica had left them and was by the entrance. She and another person were looking outside at something. The other person was doing most of the talking while Silica nodded to acknowledge their words. They went over to hear some of the conversation.

"The fact that he has a second form scares me..."

"Relax. We'll uncover him in a moment. Gather the Skyting av auraer and get ready to parle."

"Got it." The other person ran off as Silica went over. Kirito hummed lightly.

"What are you up to, Silica..." He thought calmly as she grinned.

"Where to?"

"Let's see what the rest of the town holds." Klein suggested. As they walked outside, the sky went dark and a cackle filled the air. Silica seemed to have vanished as a figure loomed over the town.

"New comers! I should've known someone would come to the alert!"

The group looked up to see who had spoken.

"Just in time for the games to begin!"

The man jumped down and walked over. Kirito stepped in front of the group.

"You don't know the ways of the game. Let me show you-"

"HEY!"

Silence filled the air as the man turned to a small group.

"Fight someone your own size, Asinus asinorum!" A snarl followed.

"That a challenge, Drakepakke? Then the battle roars tonight, midnight, upon the seven sage. You shall fall, Sila!"

With a flick of the wrist, the man vanished. The group jumped away immediately after. Asuna frowned.

"That was interesting..."

"Where's Silica?" Sinon murmured.

"Here..." Silica came from around a building. She looked a little scared.

"Let's log off for now. I have a feeling we just met the problem." Kirito hissed lightly.

Silica laughed as she and the others were on a facetime call.

"Well... I have to go. See you guys tomorrow!"

"Night Silica!"

They all hung up and silence filled the air. She checked the time. 11:50. She went over and put on the VR gear.

"You won't even see the sun, Flenusa Linet Horta. LINK START!"
