Civilians were screaming for their lives as the JSSDF tried to close in on the US Marines.

Shinji: EVERYONE GET OUTTA OF THE WAY! MOVE! MOVE!

Will: MOVE! GET OUT OF HERE!

The Marines and Vietnamese soldiers were trying to sway the crowd of civilians rushing from their cars to a safer position near the NERV HQ, controlled by a joint US Marine and Vietnamese Army strongpoint, codenamed, Castle Bravo.

Vietnamese Army Soldier #1: Nhín kia kia! (Over there!) (points to a large JSSDF force rappeling in.)

Shinji: Nhín thấy rồi, bình sĩ! Hết người, bắn đi! (Already seen it Private! Everyone else, weapons free!)

Will and others: Rõ! (Understood!)

The Marines and Vietnamese soldiers used their exos to their advantage against the JSSDF. Out in the distance, Kaji, Misato, and Asuka were watching Shinji and the others with a look of concern in their eyes.

Asuka (IJ): What is that baka thinking?! Is he trying to get himself killed again?!

Misato (IJ): But it's for our own good. The JSSDF got manipulated by SEELE again, and also killed his commanding officer in that missile attack.

Kaji (IJ): Still though, I think it was more of a deliberate attack of the JSSDF to try to weaken the Marine delegation here. Though, they did quite the opposite.

Misato (IJ): They pissed the Devil Dogs, something that cannot be taken lightly.

Asuka (IJ): I'm just hoping that the baka gets out alive.

Misato (IJ): Asuka, go get Unit 02. Help out the Marines if you want to see Shinji still alive.

Asuka (IJ): ON IT!

Asuka rushed back to NERV HQ to get ready Unit 02.

Timeskip

Shinji: Friendly ASTs inbound!

ASTs then fell from the sky.

Shinji: Will, take the other AST, we're storming.

Will: Got it.

Shinji then took the first AST while Will took the second.

HUD Systems: AST online. Minigun, ready. Missiles, ready.

Shinji: Let's get dirty.

Will: On your lead.

Asuka's Unit 02 came in behind them.

Asuka (IJ): Need support baka?

Shinji (IJ): Not really but thanks.

The two ASTs and Evangelion charged forward against an armored JSSDF column, destroying them all.

Timeskip, on a Bridge

Shinji: -Get everyone off the bridge! They're trying to collapse it!

The Marines and Vietnamese soldiers were in support behind Shinji and Will, trying to prevent the JSSDF from collapsing a civilians bridge.

Shinji: Move it! Kia kia! (Over there!)

He then points to several JSSDF soldiers blocking the way and shooting some civilians.

Will: They're war criminals!

Shinji: We'll drag them to the Hague later, but right now, push forward!

They all use their exos to boost jump forwards to assault the JSSDF units on the bridge.

Timeskip

Will (points to the sky): Look! Warbirds!

Shinji: That can only mean one thing.

Asuka: What is it?

Shinji: Friendly reinforcements.

Will: Atlas is here!

The Atlas and US Marine Warbirds engaged the JSSDF armored columns on the ground, shocking the JSSDF soldiers as they were all gunned down by Atlas soldiers and Marine reinforcements.

Shinji: Looks like we won.

Will: Hell yeah we did.

Asuka then hugs Shinji.

Asuka (IJ): You did it baka. You managed to defeat the JSSDF for the first time.

Shinji (IJ): But I didn't do it alone.

He then looks back to some Marines and Vietnamese soldiers, who smiled at him.

Shinji: But this journey....isn't over...
