Lost Before Found.
Cedar woke up fairly warm as Lapis purred against him. He then remembered they had to get moving. He turned over and poked the bluenette. He growled a little.
"Lapis... we have to get moving. We don't know when they'll realize they lost two people." Lapis hummed before he let them up. Cedar grabbed the pillow before they headed off.
~~~
After getting attacked by the coven, they barely managed to get to safety. Lapis carried Cedar, who was resting from the attack from draining himself, to the nearest town. His stomach had yet to stop growling while his legs were practically dragging. He finally collapsed as tiredness clouded his mind. Cedar made a noise, which got Lapis to at least adjust them and hug him close, keeping the Covenant warm.
~~~
He woke up to a conversation near them. Cedar was curled up in his grip, so he slowly sat up to look around. They hadn't been moved, but there were three people near them.
"You doubt this is an attack."
"No, quite the opposite. I think they're running from an attack."
"We got one of them."
They were talking about them. He looked up to see a blonde, redhead and salmon haired male looking down on them. Unsure what to do, he brought Cedar closer to him, getting protective. The blonde knelt down and smiled softly.
"We're not going to hurt you guys. Why don't you come with us?" Cedar gave off a weak noise, marking he was regaining consciousness. He finally nodded with a nervous gulp. He at least needed to warm Cedar up since he was freezing from the storm. They helped him up, not daring to take Cedar from his grip, before leading him to safety.
~~~
They were able to get him a blanket for Cedar so the Covenant could warm up. Cedar's eyes finally fluttered open as he paused.
"Lapis?" The bluenette smiled at him as he kept him close.
"Morning... how're you feeling?" Cedar seemed to eye the blanket before he spoke.
"Better... and warm..." Lapis purred before Cedar looked around. "Where are we?"
"Some place called Fairy Tail. They took us to rest." Cedar didn't respond before he leaned against him. Lapis brought the blanket around him as he paused. "Rest..." Someone went over before a lovely smell filled the air. Cedar sat up instantly as a tray was set down, two plates of food now resting there.
"That should help. You two relax."
They paused before turning to see the white haired female walking away. Cedar then gingerly picked up the soup, feeling the warmth from the bowl, before taking a sip. While Lapis did the same, he paused at the soft sound that escaped the Covenant. Fresh tears rolled down his face as he stared at the bowl.
"Cedar?" He blinked a little before Lapis smiled softly. The Covenants told him that they were sparing him from the taste of the food they could've given him. However, Cedar must've had to have some with that reaction. Cedar finally shook his head before finishing the soup. "Good?" Cedar nodded as he wiped his face.
"I've... never had such good food before..." Lapis smiled before someone went over to them.
"All better?" They looked to see the blonde from before. Cedar smiled as Lapis nodded.
"Yes... thank you for the hospitality." She nodded before sitting down next to them.
"What are you going to do now?" They paused as they glanced at each other.
"We're... not sure. We haven't thought that through." She hummed before smiling.
"What about here in Mongolia? Maybe even joining Fairy Tail?" It finally dawned on Cedar. Fairy Tail as in the guild, not a charity or something. He shuddered before speaking.
"F-fairy Tail...?" She nodded as Lapis smiled.
"I think that's a yes." She smiled at that.
