Lucy and Erza found him while on a Mission.

The small "creature" was fighting some guys they were after, so the two girls helped him out. He then curled up against a tree while Erza went off on the group, both with and without weapons. Lucy went over to the small creature.

"Are you ok?" A growl escaped him.

"Just dead. I'm hungry and tired..." Lucy hummed before bringing out a pastry that she had personally made. The small creature was immediately interested.

"Here. Eat and rest."

After learning the creature was named Lilac, the girls brought him back to the guild. He, of course, lashed out at Cedar, but the Covenant was more afraid of it. He was behind Lapis with a yep.

"DON'T KILL ME!" Lilac paused as Lapis giggled at the caster's overreaction.

"Aw, but look at him." He knelt down against Cedar's protest and rubbed between Lilac's ears, gaining a purr.

Eventually, Cedar warmed up to Lilac. They were found sleeping at a table, Lilac using Cedar's head as a bed. Lapis draped a blanket over them with a hum.
