🌸Aria'a P.o.v🌸
"I'll miss all of this," I crooned, glancing at Aerin, who barely smiled back at me. "Do you mean the house or your cupboard of chocolates?" she asked, arching an eyebrow. "Well, tough one! I'll answer you later," I muttered, looking everywhere but at her. I'll definitely miss my cupboard filled with my favorite snacks. "I'll forget about it if you give me half of them," she taunted, poking my arm. Oh, this woman gets on my nerves.
"No," I snapped. Why would I give my yummy snacks to her? "Oh, okay, no problem," she quietly agreed. I never expected her to let it go so easily. Intriguing. "I ate two of your favorite boxes of chocolate last week," she shared as smoothly as possible. "What the freaking fu—"
"And the box of Nutella bars last night," she snickered. "Mr. Ducey, please stop the car; I want this woman out of this car!" I shrieked, making him slow down. How could she? Where the hell was I when this happened?! Was I dead?
"I didn't finish yet," she protested, stopping me from smacking her face. "I was all alone last night, and so were the Nutella bars, so I asked Kerry to steal your nachos. After all, she is the only one in the house who knows the code to your cupboard," she grinned, pulling a huge packet of chips from her bag, which was also MINE.
"MR. DUCEY, STOP THE CAR! YOU GORILLA! HOW DARE YOU EAT MY FOOD! YOU'RE STILL ALIVE BECAUSE YOU'RE MY SISTER, OTHERWISE, I WOULD HAVE COOKED YOUR ASS AND FED IT TO YOUR HORSES!" I was cut off by Aerin shoving me back. "DON'T SCREAM, YOU HIPPO!" she chortled at me, and so did Mr. Ducey. Why is she laughing like that? She looks like a donkey to me. What about you, readers? Are you on my side or that donkey-like Aerin's side?
"Why are you laughing?" I frowned, sinking lower in my seat. "Because you look like a potato, a boiled one," she revealed, laughing like a witch and patting Mr. Ducey on the back. "I'll get back at you soon, just wait and watch. Also, you, Mr. Ducey," I snapped, glaring at both of them as they battled their laughter.
"I'm going to miss you both, darlings. Do well, be great, and be yourselves. Mr. Ducey and my daughter Kerry will miss you both," he expressed, stopping the car at the airport entrance. He always makes me sentimental. We didn't even realize we had reached the airport. The closer we got, the more I wanted to go back.
"Are you alright, Aria?" she mocked, knowing my condition. "I freaking hate you," I declared. "And I love you too," she giggled, running to Mr. Ducey. "We will miss you too, Mr. Ducey. Take care of your health, eat well," she spoke softly.
I ran to them and joined the hug, making Mr. Ducey slightly unstable. After an emotional goodbye, we headed inside the airport. We loitered for 30 minutes before boarding the plane. "It's 03:45 PM; we will be in Seoul at 12:45 AM," Aerin informed me, setting an alarm on her watch. It looks like this unicorn is going to sleep. I'm no different; I’m going to do the same.
8 HOURS LATER
Time to go home. I am so freaking happy. As I was getting up from my seat, I noticed Aerin glaring at me. I asked her 'why' without actually saying the word. "Well... your hippo-like snore didn't let any of us sleep on this plane," she snarled, pointing behind me. I turned around to see some very annoyed passengers.
Oh my. "You could've closed your ears and slept," I suggested, laughing awkwardly. "You snore like a dinosaur, unnie," said a surprisingly cute little girl. At this moment, I couldn't argue with her. "Well, you better go to your mama before I eat you up like a T-Rex," I replied with a playful roar, not wanting to scare the other kids peeking through the seats. She ran back to her mum, who was already giving me death glares. Angry mama. "Come on, let's go," Aerin fumed, pulling me out of there.
🔱AUTHOR'S P.O.V🔱
Aerin and Aria found themselves in Seoul, frantically searching for their parents amidst the bustling crowd. Suddenly, Grey's voice cut through the noise, calling out to them. "HERE, babies come here!" he yelled, and they immediately ran towards him. "Hi, mom, dad," they chimed together. "My beautiful girls, I missed you," Grey exclaimed warmly.
"Aria, where the heck is your coat? It's midnight and freezing out here," scolded their mother.
"She left it in the waiting room, I think," Aerin replied, laughing mischievously. "She was too busy snatching the dessert box from the staff on our way out," she added, leaving Aria dumbfounded. "I'll get you back for that," Aria growled playfully.
"You're going home without a sweater," Sarah declared firmly as they headed out.
🌼AERIN'S P.O.V🌼
We arrived home after an hour-long car ride, and as I stepped out, I couldn't help but marvel at the sight before me—the most elegant house I had ever laid eyes on, where we were now going to live. Situated amidst gentle hills and embraced by lush trees, this luxurious abode stood out majestically. The driveway was adorned with soft light lamps that illuminated the path, casting a warm, castle-like glow with their soft yellow and orange hues. If the exterior was this stunning, I could only imagine the opulence that awaited inside. Throughout our journey here, not once had I seen a home quite as remarkable as this one.
"Awesome, right?" Aria smirked. "Absolutely," I agreed, stepping inside. I was more than thrilled to be living in this beautiful and serene haven.
"Come on, Aerin, I'll show you your room," Mom said, leading the way upstairs. Aria and I followed closely behind. Mom stopped at the end of the hallway and opened the last door.
"Here," she said, standing aside and waiting for me to enter.
I stepped into the room and was immediately struck by its charm. The bedroom was simply lovely, especially the view from the balcony which offered a breathtaking panorama of the entire neighborhood. The soft pink-shaded lamp added a touch of elegance that made the room feel even more inviting. I couldn't help but think I might never want to leave this space.
"Woah," Aria exclaimed. "Looks cool, except for the pink lights," she added, scrunching her nose.
"Well, you may go to your room, miss," Mom interrupted. Aria dashed excitedly down the hallway to her room, but as soon as she opened the door, her jaw dropped in disbelief. She stared at Mom, bewildered.
I turned to Mom with a questioning look. She smirked and simply said, "Go see for yourself. I'm going to bed." With that, she headed downstairs. I hurried over to Aria, who still hadn't moved. When I entered her room, it was a complete disaster—a huge mess.
"What the..." I couldn't help but laugh. It was so untidy that I could barely see her bed under the mountain of clothes.
"MOM! WHY ISN'T MY ROOM CLEANED?" Aria shouted, startling me with her proximity.
"Whoa, you're going to make my ears bleed," I exclaimed, covering my ears. Aria called out again, frustrated when Mom didn't respond.
"I asked you to clean it before we left last month, remember?" Mom's voice drifted up from downstairs.
"Wow," Aria mumbled, resting her head against the door in defeat.
"Don't worry, let's clean up together?" I suggested, starting to gather her clothes.
After we finished cleaning, we collapsed on her bed to cool off in the air conditioning. Her view from the balcony was amazing too. There was a huge television hanging from the ceiling and a play area in front of it.
"Man, she really went all out with this room," I remarked.
"It's like her own personal hell," Aria agreed, finally cracking a smile.
""Aria, I'm going to shower. I'm pretty offended by cleaning up your month-old pudding, egg tarts, and who knows what else," I grumbled.
"Okay, I'll go put our bags in the closet," she replied nonchalantly, brushing off my complaint about her old snacks.
After my shower, I headed to our shared closet and was shocked to find my clothes scattered everywhere. "What the hell happened here?" I muttered to myself, thoroughly confused. I heard Aria's voice from somewhere in the closet, "I'm just choosing an outfit for tomorrow."
"Aria? Where are you?" I called out, looking around the closet. Suddenly, a hand popped out from under a pile of clothes. I carefully moved them aside and found Aria lying amidst the mess. "I can't decide on anything," she sighed.
Then it hit me—we had our first class tomorrow. "Did you check that bag?" I pointed to my grey bag. We emptied it out and finally settled on our outfits for the next day.
I opted for a white mock neck sweater with checkered pants, while Aria chose a maroon off-shoulder sweater paired with black jeans. "Perfect," she smiled, neatly folding her clothes.
After dinner and some drama watching, I decided to sleep in Aria's room. "I don't get why we have separate rooms when we both fit perfectly in one bed," I confessed as we settled in.
"Shut up and sleep before I kick you out," Aria retorted playfully. "Is it my fault I hate sleeping alone?" I teased back.
"Aerin, close your mouth and sleep, or I'll cuddle with you," she threatened.
"Ew, okay fine," I chuckled, finally settling into a dreamy sleep beside her.
