♠Andy’s POV♠
I was still lying on my bed, not wanting to wake up this morning. My eyes were still closed as I forced myself to sleep. Why couldn’t my body oblige to my commands once in a while man? Gosh, a little morning nap wouldn’t kill anyone, you know. If only I had bought those sleeping peels, then, I will be fast asleep in a few minutes.
Turning to the side, a peppermint scent gushed into my nostrils. Slowly opening my eyes, I saw a cup of tea along with my breakfast tray placed on my night stand. I was now confused because before I went to bed last night I told Anna to not fuss about my breakfast. Where could this have come from?
Taking a sitting position, I rub the sleepiness out of my eyes, let out a yawn and stretched my arms out. My body ached but it wasn’t due to the bed. It was because of all the tossing and turning that I did last night. The fear of my confession haunted my dreams and I couldn’t settle in properly.
“Ah shucks, I thought that the smell of peppermint would bring a smile to a person’s face on a morning, guess I was wrong then,” Jess chuckles as she strolled into the room. She flashed me a concerned look as she took a sit on one of the chairs in the bedroom.
I could tell that she has matured a lot but she was still hiding the fact that she wasn’t a teenager anymore. Her hair did get longer but she cut it to fit the new look she was taking up. Like any person who is going through puberty, Jessie developed beautiful curves. I’m sure that Hunter has appreciated her woman like figure very much.
“It’s not the tea, I’ve just been stressed out lately,” I admit, reaching out for the cup of tea she placed on my stand. Taking a sip, my eyes closed on its own will as I cherished the flavor. That minty sting you get as it was hot was just perfect.
“Oh, so what have you been stressing about then?” I knew that this was going to happen, I just knew it. Jess always managed to have me cornered whenever she knew that I was probably hiding something from the world.
“Nothing important…”
“Nothing important, wow, if it was nothing important, then, you wouldn’t be sulking right now,” She says as she squint her eyes at me. Crocking her head to the side and lifting her right brow at me, Jess waits for me to give in.
I hated this very much, the way that Jessie always knew when to dig deeper into a topic. Well it was now or never. Let’s face it; she has been my best friend for as long than I can remember. I’m very sure that she has the ability to distinguish an intentional mistake and an accidental one. Let’s just hope this was going to be done smoothly.
“Okay Jessie, so you figures me out after all,” I say, dropping myself onto my pillows, waiting for her to press on the matter. A few scrambles were heard then the left side of my bed sunk in. Looking to that side, I saw Jessie lying on the bed, awaiting my explanation.
“Spill, you have me getting like a curious potato.”
I started from the beginning, giving her details on how I became friends with those guys. As expected she already knew two of them because we all hanged out a lot. I told her where, when, how and why I did it. At first she laughed because she thought those guys were gay. She only thought that because they were too hot to be true.
Getting on to the ‘making out’ section of my story Jess almost strangled me. This was because I made out with a guy named Hunter and obviously, she thought was her Hunter. We settled that part with a few laughs then went back to my guilty feeling. She gave me a hug, a few pats on the back and a little goofy grin.
“Oh well, that’s life Andy. No need to complicate things, if Cameron truly loves you, he will understand that it was due to the spur of the moment and you no longer have any connections with those guys. I mean, damn! I am shocked but hey, I respect you. How the hell did you manage to keep this from me for so long? Am I losing my touch?”
“Wow Jessie, ha-ha yes, you’re losing your touch. But how am I going to keep my mind at ease?” I questions, turning to face her. It seems that she had already planed everything out because there was this evil sparkle to the back of her eyes.
“Why don’t we go shopping for Casey’s sixteenth birthday present? And yes, this ‘counseling’ or confronting you gig was just a set up so I can drag you along,” She say, winking at me. Taking a pillow, I smacked her in the face and we laughed it out.
“Wow Jess, just wow…you cunning bastard.”
♥Cameron’s POV♥
At last, I have returned home.
From the time I got off that plane, my mind had been set in arriving home. I couldn’t wait any longer; I needed to see Andy, Hunter, Jess, my parents and all my loved ones. My heart couldn’t take in all this emotion but it has been so long since I’ve seen them. The trip here was a few hours and I can’t imagine that I didn’t sleep a wink.
Man I was too excited. There was still this uneasy feeling deep down in my guts though. This was a feeling that I couldn’t get a proper grip of. Shrugging it off, I begin circling the airport’s parking lot in search of the person who was supposed to bring me home. Last night, I called him and gave him the news that I was coming today and he volunteered to drop me off.
Taking a left turn, my eyes fell on a man with dirty blond hair leaning onto the hood of his car. I could recognize that face from anywhere. Damn, Hunt looked great. I guess life has been good to him too. But, I wonder if Jessie and he were still together. After all, I heard about their one year split up and wondered how that worked out.
“Yow Hunt!” I shout, rising one of my bags so that he can spot me quickly. His face lit up as he kicked himself off of the car and smiles at me. Pushing my way through the crowd of people who suddenly appeared, I made my way towards him.
“Oh man, oh man. What the fuck happened to you Cameron?” He asks jokingly, taking me into our old ‘handshake-fist pump-shoulder hug’ routine.
“Nothing really except me getting even better looks than before,” I smirk, picking up the bags I dropped to the ground before we embraced. It was so good to be back, you have no idea. That feel of welcome that you get when everyone tell you how they miss you and the looks on their faces when they realize that you have changed a lot.
“Dude, who fooled you…?” He jokes, chuckling as he enters his car and pops the trunk for me. Placing my bags in the trunk, I took in a gush of fresh air wile closing it. Not wasting any time, I enter the passenger’s seat and buckled in.
Hunter started the vehicle and it made me wonder how mine were doing. I even got a new ride too. No one can truly understand how the hell I missed this place, I missed it all. There were houses, the people and even those annoying little brats who were new to our past high school. But most of all, there was this special person that I couldn’t stop thinking about.
Andy.
Every single day when I was in London, I would think of her. Her smile, the way she laughs, her gorgeous body, everything about her makes my stomach do backflips. I can never get over her blonde hair and the way it glistened in the sunlight, the way her body felt and oh my goodness, those lips. Damn, how I missed those sweet and soft lips.
“Dude, the UK knocked you off track or what? Smiling to yourself and shit,” Hunter states, taking a quick glance at my direction. It was so unconscious because I didn’t even realize that I was smiling before he brought it to my attention. Shaking my head, I tried snapping out of my day dream and positioned myself to speak up.
“It’s not that man, I was just thinking about Andy,” I say, smiling more consciously this time. Hunter shakes his head at me, quickens on his pace and then starts tapping on his steering wheel.
“You’re whipped Cam, and there’s no way in denying that,” He says, in a matter-o-fact tone of voice. I knew he was right so I only shook my head and smirked. I smirked because I wasn’t the only whipped one around here.
“Enough about me… what about you and Jess?” I ask, waiting to see if Hunt had finally gotten the balls to do anything other than sleep with the chick.
“Were…Doing…Just fine I guess. The usual, I haven’t asked her to be my girlfriend because we agreed to be friends with benefits a long time ago but I want more. Yeah, it’s selfish but she completes me dude. The hard thing about this is, I’ve never really loved someone eh way I love her and I don’t think that she loves me back.”
“Been there, done that. In my case Andy did love me back, surprisingly but in your you should watch your back. If Jess is the same Jess I remember, she would cut your balls off if you did anything wrong if you guys end up dating. But man, that sounded so freaking cheesy,” I reply, laughing a little.
“She’s the same Jessie alright, but even more frightening now than before…” He says, wincing at the thought of Jessie ripping off his balls. This made me laugh but something in the air made me know that Hunter had something else on his mind.
“I was wondering, Cameron, why did you return a week earlier? Is it about what happened in the gang?” He asks, raising a brow at me. I knew it had something to do with the gang, no wonder the mood of the conversation changed.
“We’ll talk about it when we arrive at my place,” I say, cutting the conversation short and he simply nods.
* * *
We arrived at my house about twenty minutes ago. Hunter helped me park my stuff and settle in while Anna dished up something to eat and drink. As I arrived, Anna told me that Andy had arrived yesterday and that she and Jess went out a couple of hours ago. I knew that I needed to clear out the reason I was back so early before Andy and Jessie returned.
Entering the bar opposite the first living room, Hunter and I made ourselves comfortable so that we could take up this serious conversation. Anna came by and served us a few beers and I told her that it was unnecessary for anymore.
“So, you heard what happened to Ralo and some of the other guys’ right?” I ask, wanting to set a certain grounding to begin this discussion. Hunter nods, and then tells me how he found out only two weeks ago and it has been troubling him from then on.
“They left the gang because of threats. Because I’m the new leader and the fact that I haven’t been in this neighborhood in ages, our gang’s power has weakened. Now that the Marco gang is no more, there is this new set in town; the Angelico’s.”
“Wait, you still stayed in the gang even after you told Andy that you would move out of it?” Hunter asks, baffled at the fact that I still took the roll as gang leader. I couldn’t help it though because my gang needs me and I have done all in my power to keep it stable. I knew that it was wrong to deceive Andy by telling her that I would leave and I didn’t but it was for her own safety.
“I had to Hunt, it was that or full destruction of you guys.” Yes, Hunter was still part of our gang because he swore to devote his life to it no matter what happened in the future. Taking a few gulps of our beer, we emptied one of the bottles and continued with our conversation.
“I’ll tell her about it soon but not just yet. Now, back on track, I came back early to do some undercover investigation and I have already found a top spy. We met during my schooling in the UK and I think she can get the job done pretty well. Other than that, I won’t be taking charge of the gang for a few weeks because I will need to get to know this girl better.” I say, ready to propose an offer.
“So you won’t mind being the leader for a couple of weeks, would you?” I ask and he almost choked on his second beer. I would have laughed at the look on his but this was a serious matter and I needed to manage my stern face.
“Would I mind? Cam, I would be delighted,” He says, flashing me a genuine smile which I returned within an instant.
“Thanks man, you’re the best,” I say, patting his shoulder. I was about to state something else but the sound of a vehicle pulling up in the driveway cut off all speech. I remained still and then calmed down when I heard a few laughs from outside. Two laughs that I can never forgot, Jess and Andy, they just got here.
Getting off of our stools, Hunter and I enter the living room and waited for our lovers to enter through the front door. Leaning in a supporting wall, I smirked when the handle of the door twisted and the door was pushed open.
There she was; her eyes were closed as she laughs and twirls her way inside. Jess followed after her, saying something which sounded like and inside joke. Then, as she opened her eyes and he grey orbs soon met my grey ones, time seemed to have stopped.
Andy looked even more beautiful than I remembered. Her hair was even longer than ever, it was passing her butt and she simply glowed. My heart thundered in my chest because of the shocked expression on her face. The bags she once held in her hands were now laid on the floor. Andy was stiff in her position while Jessie smirks at us.
Needing a little boost, Jessie pushes Andy forward. She then ran towards me, there were some tears present in her eyes and I was overwhelmed. Jumping into my arms, I hug her tightly. Gosh, she felt so great against my body. I missed he so damn much.
“Oh my god Cameron, I missed you so much. And you’re back so early!” She exclaims, kissing me all over. A chuckle escapes my lips as I reply with a, “I missed you too Andy, you have no idea how much.”
She shakes her head; the tears were dripping all over even as she started to giggle. Using my thumbs, I dried the tears from her eyes then cupped her cheeks. Bringing my lips towards hers, I have never felt so much need in my entire life.
As our lips touched, she wraps her arms around my neck and I drop mine so they could be around her torso. Her lips moved so professionally against mine and that sent sparks throughout my entire body. The way her fingers ran through my hair showed that she was also enjoying this as much as I was.
Deepening the kiss, our tongues touched and a soft moan was heard from the back of her throat. She wanted more and so did I. Pulling her closer to me the kiss became more and more lustful but was still passionate.
“Well, I guess Hunter and I should leave now, I know that privacy is a charm,” Jess says, causing the two of us to pull apart. There was a slight blush on Andy’s cheeks but I couldn’t help but smirk at her. She waved Jess and Hunter goodbye as we watched the two leave our house.
“So… Where were we?” I ask in a husky tone, leaving a trail of kisses from a jaw line to her neck. Arching me back I could tell that she was so enjoying this. Then our lips met again, as I carried her to our bed room suit. Best welcome back present in the world.
