Chapter 5
Anakin kept walking and walking, wanting to keep Gabrielle some ways behind him.
He was still adjusting, and by adjusting, I mean thinking of a revenge plan for Obi-Wan.
He likes having a Padawan, most of the time, Anakin thought. But he hates one thing: flying!!! All I have to do is-
Anakin was snapped out of his thoughts when Gabrielle grabbed the back of his cape.
"Master, you were about to walk into a waterfall."
Anakin looked down. "Oh."
"Do you know where you're going?" Gabrielle asked, crossing her arms.
"Uh...of course I do!"
Gabrielle rolled her eyes and followed him.
"You see that village?" He pointed to a little neighborhood ahead of them.
"Uh, yeah."
"That's not houses. It's shops," Anakin explained. "Pad- Senator Amidala told me about it once."
"When you were her bodyguard but you fell in love?"
"WHAT? HOW DID YOU- I mean, uh..."
Gabrielle smirked. "I can tell."
Anakin scratched the back of his head. "Well, um, you see..."
"Well, it's not a big deal. Not like you got married or anything," Gabrielle said, innocently.
"Uh...yeah! Right!" Anakin stuttered, embarrassed.
They walked on and on, until they reached the village.
Anakin proceeded into one of the buildings, and walked up to the front desk.
"Can I help you?" The worker said, annoyed.
"Yes," Anakin growled in a don't-mess-with-me voice. He turned to Gabrielle. "You have the disk, right?"
She nodded, reaching under her jacket and grabbing a holo-disk.
Anakin took it, showing the worker the hologram. "Recognize these pieces?"
The worker nodded.
"Well, this is how you can help us. Can you show us the identities of everyone who had ordered each and every one of these parts?" Anakin asked.
"Uh," The worker said, unsure. "Alright. But it'll take some time. Give you me your comn frequency and I'll contact you when I've got it ready."
Anakin gave him his comn frequency, and a copy of the holo-disk.
Then he walked out, Gabrielle trailing behind him.
"Master," She said. "How is going to help up figure out the identity of Dooku's new assassin?"
"Because, on one person would buy all of these parts. Then we've figured out who the assassin is."
"Uh, but what of there's more then one?"
"Then we inspect them both."
"Alright," Gabrielle said. "If you say so."
They went shop after shop, doing the exact same thing just with different pieces and parts.
Just as they walked out of another shop, Anakin's comn beeped.
"Hello?" He answered.
"I've gathered the information you need," The worker from earlier said. "But I don't think you'll like it."
"No time for not liking things," Anakin said. "I'll be right there."
"You'd better hurry. My boss says if he sees strange scary guy-"
Anakin hung up.
Gabrielle giggled as she followed Anakin back to the first shop.
Once they got there, the worker looked at them.
"You're not going to like this," He said and turned the results on.
"She was the only one."
Anakin's jaw dropped.
"No. It's can't be....."
"Master...." Gabrielle tried to say.
"Shhhh this is a sappy moment I need to have!"
"Master-"
"It can't be her....."
"Master...."
"For kriff's sake what?" He turned to Gabrielle.
"We need to get out of here."
"And why's that?"
"I sense-" Gabrielle was cut off by an explosion from the desk, causing her and Anakin to be thrown backwards.
"THAT."
Anakin didn't answer.
"Master, if you're mad, I understand being defeated."
"Master?"
"Master?" She slapped him.
"MASTER?" She shook him, but he was unconscious.
"Oh Kriff."
She picked him up, grabbing the holo-disk showing the results the worker gave them and dragged Anakin outside.
"Wow.." She pants. "You...*pant* are...*pant* really HEAVY!"
She laid him on the grass, sitting next to him.
She pulled out the holo-disk, and it showed a young Togruta female with a name she couldn't quite pronounce.
"Ah..suku...nope...Ah..soooki? No....Ah..so....ka. Oh. My. God."
And......cliffhanger! Ish!
Mwahaha!
