     Alex's POV

     I left the dorms and went outside. Now how to get to the class buildings. I glanced around until I saw building C, the building where being held. I ran inside and scanned each of the numbers on the side of each door until I found the one I was looking for. I slipped inside and looked at the people who were already here. Not many students are here yet. The first class Alex had today was speech and debate. He took a seat close to the front and took out some line paper. As I was writing, I didn't realize that all the students began filing in. After a few more minutes, everyone was sitting down and the professor walked in. "Good morning students. My name is Professor Washington and I'll be your speech and debate and history teacher." Professor Washington introduced. He started talking about the characteristics of a good speech when someone burst through the door. 

"So what'd I miss?" The person who burst through the door asked. I looked up from my notes to see a man who looked a lot like Laf, just without a ponytail and he didn't have a French accent. Professor Washington sighed.

"Hello Mr.Jefferson, please take a seat like the rest of your classmates." Jefferson strolled up to where I was sitting. 

"So the little Caribbean kid has this class too? How'd you even get here?" Jefferson asked rudely. When I didn't reply, this seemed to anger him. "Are you mute or something pipsqueak?" Jefferson taunted. I really wanted to hit him, but I knew if I did something stupid now, I would probably be kicked out of the school, or worse. So I clamped my mouth shut before I said something I would regret. 

"Mr.Jefferson! Leave the poor man alone! You have not only interrupted my lecture, but have harassed one of our newest students! See me after class." Professor Washington growled. I sighed in relief as Jefferson gave me one last glare and went to sit next to a smaller man whom I have never seen before. Professor Washington continued with his lecture occasionally stopping to ask questions. Once he had finished, he assigned us a 3000 word essay convincing him of something. Finally, something to type. He dismissed the class and I had about an hour break. I walked back to the dorm. It was empty, which was alright for the moment. I grabbed an apple and ate it in a few famished bites. When was the last time I ate? I grabbed my laptop and typed the essay for class. When my alarm went off for class to start in ten minutes, I grabbed all my stuff and bolted out the door and ran as fast as I could toward my history class with Professor Washington. This'll be different than speech and debate class, that I'm sure of.

     John's POV 

I woke up to an alarm set on the clock next to my bed. What? I didn't set an alarm. I turned it off and looked at the time. "Oh boy, it's already ten." I stretched and went to take a shower.

(Time skip because nobody wants to read about a guy in a shower.)

I slipped on some jeans and gray shirt. I grabbed my bag with art supplies and walked to the door. There I slipped on my shoes and glanced around, making sure I haven't forgotten anything. My eyes locked unto my desk, where a piece of parchment paper was sitting. I don't own any parchment paper. I went over to my desk and picked it up. What is read was so touching, I couldn't bear to put it down.

     Cold in my professions, warm in my friendships, I wish, my Dear Laurens, it might be in my power, by action rather than words, to convince you that I love you. I shall only tell you that 'till you bade us Adieu, I hardly knew the value you had taught my heart to set upon you. Indeed, my friend, it was not well done. You know the opinion I entertain of mankind, and how much it is my desire to preserve myself free from particular attachments, and to keep my happiness independent on the caprice of others.

Alex actually cares! H-he actually cares... I carefully placed the letter back on my desk. Still dazed, I walked out of the dorm and headed quickly to my class. 

(Time skip because why not?)

      I walked into my class a bit early. Here and Laf had this class too and were already here. "Hello mon ami! Your first class of the day, non?" Lad asked. I nodded and sat next to him. The professor, whose name was Professor Adams, walked in and began telling us about how to create an interesting drawing. I listened intently and took tedious notes. Herd started joking about the fact that I took notes. I tuned him out and continued writing. Once he had finished with his lecture, he told us to draw a picture and turn it in to him next class. With that he dismissed the class. I said goodbye to Herc and Laf and we went our separate ways. I headed to my marine biology class, which I found riveting. He walked around until he found the right classroom and waited inside for class to begin

     Alex's POV (later after all his classes)

     I walked out of creative writing when the girl who was hanging out with Burr came up to me. "Alex, right?" I nodded. "Angelica wants to see you in her dorm." She stated then walked off to join Burr who was waiting outside. If she wanted to speak to me, why didn't she text me or something? But I shrugged it off and walked to her dorm.

(Time skip because do you really want to read about Alex walking across campus? I think not)

     I knocked on the Sisters dorm room. Angelica immediately opened it and pushed me inside. "Angelica what's..." I didn't get to finish my sentence as she pressed her index finger against my mouth. I don't like how this is going... 

"Listen Alex. I love you. I have loved you ever since I laid eyes on you. When John kissed you, I decided now might be the best time to tell you how I feel." I opened my mouth, but no words would form. I cleared my throat and told her something she didn't want to hear.

"I-i'm sorry, but I don't love you in that way." I stammered. She visibly tensed. Then she tackled me and pinned me to the floor. OH NO!!!! I DON'T WANT TO BE HERE ANYMORE!! "P-please let me up." I stuttered. I didn't want to hurt her, but I may have to. 

"We are perfect for each other!!" Angelica screeched. "We were made for each other Alex!!! How can you be so blind!!!" At this point, I'm laying in a pool of my own sweat. 

"W-w-what are you g-going to do..." I whispered. 

"I'm going to show you we are perfect for each other!!" Angelica growled in my ear. OH NO!!! WHAT IS SHE GOING TO DO TO ME!!! 

I'm going to stop it right there. I have a cliffhanger for once! What a change. Anyway, the next chapter will be up tomorrow. Thank you so much for reading my book and that you think it's actually worth reading!! This means a lot to me. You guys are the best!!! -S
