I'm so sorry this chapter is so late!! I've just lost all motivation for this book and I've been dealing with stuff. -S

    I'm doing a time skip so here's a summary of what happened.
    Philip sent everyone home in a plane and one of his servants would return the car. Peggy told her dad that John and Alex needed to go to South Carolina and he sent them there on a plane. He also paid for their return a little less than a week later. School still didn't start up for another week, so John and Alex had time to go without missing any classes. Angelica explained to James where all of them had gone. John and Alex had just arrived at the airport and rented a car to drive to John's place. They just arrived and were about to knock on the door. That brings us to where we are now.

     John's POV
     I silently prayed that my father wouldn't open the door as I knocked. To my relief, Martha, my younger sister answered. "Jack!!" She screeched and gave me a bear hug.

     "Good to see you too, Martha." I breathed. She let me go and started prancing around the house. I'm sure my presence will be known now... 

     "Jacky!" Henry, my younger brother, cried. He gave me a big hug and I ruffled his hair.

     "You've all gotten so big!" I said. Mary, my youngest sister, came stumbling to me.

     "Jacky!" She giggled and gave me a hug. I bent down and hugged her back.

     "John," another voice said. I looked up to see my father looking at me fondly.

     "Uh, h-hi, father." I stuttered, hoping he wouldn't hurt me because I brought Alex. He was talking with my siblings.

     "Don't worry, John. I'm s-sorry I treated you so badly all these years a-and I just want you to know that I fully accept you now and I'll let you be you." He said sincerely. My eyes widened in shock as he hugged me. He hasn't hugged me in years...  "Nice to have you back, Jack."

     "Who are you and what have you done to my father?" I joked. He rolled his eyes and patted my back. I sat on the couch with him after Alex and I placed our bags by the stairs. My siblings insisted that he played with them, and what a sight that was.

     "How long are you here for?" He asked after a few minutes of watching my siblings "attack" Alex.

     "A few days. We'll be leaving before the end of the week." I told him, stifling a laugh at my siblings attics. "Help me!" Alex mouthed.

     "Figure it out, Hamilton." I snickered. He huffed and remained on the ground with Henry and Mary standing on his back.

"We have conquered the mighty Hamilton!" Henry screeched from on top of Alex's back.

"That's great," Alex breathed. "Now, could you maybe let me up?" Henry reluctantly removed Mary and himself from Alex's back. Alex got up and dusted himself off. I got off the couch and took Alex upstairs with our stuff.

"I thought your dad was evil or something." Alex said after placing his small backpack on one of the beds in the room.

"He was. I don't understand what came over him." I sighed, looking through my phone notifications. Well, that just goes to show that the Squad will never be inactive...

aNdPEGGO: r u guys in class

In_Need_Of_Tissues: nope

Afro: No. But, then again, why would we be? School's out.

ANdPEGGO: o right

Blue Jay: No, but I'm trying to do homework here.

Tired: You couldn't go a minute without texting us, huh?

aNdPEGGO: ALEX!! tell me how the trip is goin

TurtleBro: For once, my dad isn't treating me like a diseased animal.

Baguette: that is great mon ami

Bandanna: yea. I wouldve marched over there and murdered him on the spot

TurtleBro: I'm sure.

QueenOfRed: yo. just got outta the cafeteria.

Tired: *Are *you *? *Nope *. *Tell *going *. *That *Yeah *would've *! *Yo *Just *Out *of *.

aNdPEGGO: ur on vacation and u still wont stop correcting us

Tired: Yes, and it will remain that way until the end of time. *You're *won't *.

AlmostSatisfied: can you guys calm down or something?

aNdPEGGO: have u met me

AlmostSatisfied: I take it back. You can't.

Tired: *Can *Have *you *?

AlmostSatisfied: You prick! Are you correcting me!?!

Tired: Yes?

AlmostSatisfied: You're so dead when you come back.

Tired: Aw, I thought you loved me too much to possibly do that.

I glanced up and saw Alex stifle a laugh and place his phone down. The second he sent that, the chat blew up. I decided not to get involved and start scrolling through Tumblr. Great, Peggy has posted more "Lams" art. I need to make sure I ask her what that means, even though I'm pretty sure I already do.
