I have finally finished thirty chapters of this book. I'm still trying to figure out what to do to end this thing. I'll figure it out eventually. This chapter is really just some fluff and whatnot. -S

     Alex's POV
     Well, I told my entire friend group one of my biggest secrets, which I had planned to keep to myself. I glared at John. I didn't want all this pity, but that's what I get. John will have to go to South Carolina soon. Then, school starts up again and we have to get through all our classes daily. John caught my glare and smiled. "I hate you." I muttered.

     "Aw, I love you too!" John joked. I huffed in mock anger. He laughed and nudged me. I've missed that laugh, I haven't heard it in quite a while. 

     The maid collected our plates and began washing them. I glanced out of the window to find the sun was shining brightly. I got up and began fiddling with my hoodie strings. 

     Maybe I'll just sit in the room and type something, I haven't typed anything in a while. I walked up the stairs, leaving everyone behind. I opened the door and left it open a crack. Then, I grabbed my laptop and opened a new document. I thought for a moment before deciding on a argument on feminism and whether we should encourage it. 

     After what felt like a few minutes, the door was pushed open. I glanced up, but no one was there. What the... I stared at the door for a few more moments before going back to work. A few seconds later, Jay scrabbled onto the bed with his short legs. I stifled a laugh at his antics and patted his head. He snuggled into my lap and quickly fell asleep. I rolled my eyes and continued my little essay. Angelica would probably like it. 

(Time skip because I need to get right to the point.)

     I finished the essay and decided to show it to Angelica later on. I debated whether I should write something else or give it up for now. Just then, Herc burst through the door. "Again, Herc? I swear, you'll knock a door off its hinges one day." I sighed. 

     He shrugged and motioned for me to come with him. I picked up Jay and followed Herc downstairs. I handed Maria Jay and continued following Herc. "Where exactly are we going?" I asked. 

     He didn't answer and kept walking through the house. We came to a small room where John and Laf were laughing at something from on a couch and the Sisters were sitting, either on chairs or on the floor. "You brought him!" Peggy exclaimed. She got up and began pushing me towards the group. 

"What are we doing?" I asked as I got comfortable on the floor. 

     "Well," Herc began, rubbing his hands together. "Laf, John, and I wanted to play our annual game of 'Monopoly' and the Sisters wanted to join us. Theo, Aaron, and Maria passed up the offer as they were busy with their own conversations, so we decided to invite you. Although, Laf and John both agreed that we should just force you to play since you are a workaholic and you need to chill for a bit." I sighed and reluctantly agreed to play. 

     "Yay!" Peggy chirped and gave me a hug. I laughed a little and returned the gesture. After Angelica spent a few minutes setting up the game, she asked who wanted to be in charge of the bank. 

     "I will." Eliza said. Angelica nodded and handed her the money and the buildings. Eliza passed out some money to everyone. Then, everyone chose their piece to play as, Peggy chose the dog, John the battleship, Herc the thimble, Laf the hat, Angelica the boot, I was the wheelbarrow, and Eliza was the car. 

     We read over the rules and the oldest went first. So, Angelica went first, then Herc, Laf, John, Eliza, Me, and then Peggy. Angelica rolled the dice and it landed on three. She moved forward three spaces and bought the property there. Eliza handed Angelica he property card in exchange for two hundred dollars. Evetually, everyone had gone and most of us had properties.

     We continued like that for the rest of the evening. Every so often, Herc getting mad because someone bought "his" place. It was exciting and hilarious. How did I get so lucky to have such a great group of friends?
